Evans, in his 13th NBA season and second with the Kings, had a season infected by both knee and thumb injuries, but was still able to appear in 47 games. He finished with averages of 3.7 points and 6.4 rebounds over just 16 minutes per game.
Evans may not be the biggest offensive threat when he is on the court, but he will always look to be the most tenacious rebounder. Despite the fact that he is 35 years old and played just 16 minutes per game this season, Evans still somehow managed to grab over six boards a game and had 10 double-digit rebound games, including a November outing against the Grizzlies where he posted season-highs of 17 points and 20 rebounds. Evans is not under contract next season, and since the Kings already have so much depth in the frontcourt, there is a strong chance he isn't re-signed by Sacramento this offseason. But, even though he is up there in age, it is likely Evans finds a home next season given the energy and rebounding tenacity he can give you off the bench.

Evans (thumb) won't play in Wednesday's regular season finale against the Lakers, Cowbell Kingdom reports.
Evans has missed each of the last two contests after suffering a thumb sprain in Friday's game against the Thunder. His absence from Wednesday's finale will leave him end his season, averaging 3.7 points, 6.4 rebounds and 0.7 assists in about 16 minutes over 47 games.
Mon Apr 13 201516:31Evans (thumb) ruled out for Monday's game against Lakers
Evans (thumb) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Lakers.
Evans did not play Sunday after spraining his thumb Friday against the Thunder. The Kings won't take any chances with nothing to play for at this point in the season. DeMarcus Cousins (foot) and Rudy Gay (head) will remain out, so expect Jason Thompson and Derrick Williams to start up front with Omri Casspi likely joining them on the wing.
Sat Apr 11 201522:01Evans doubtful for Sunday's game with sprained thumb
Evans is doubtful for Sunday's game with a sprained thumb, News 10's Sean Cunningham reports.
Assuming Evans does not play Sunday, then he will only have two more chances to play before the end of the regular season. With Rudy Gay and DeMarcus Cousins already out for the rest of the season, Jason Thompson and Derrick Williams will become intriguing daily options over the final two games.
Tue Apr 7 201521:31Evans will get start at center Tuesday
Evans will get the start at center Tuesday, the Sacramento Bee's Jason Jones reports.
DeMarcus Cousins (foot) is out indefinitely, so this could be a trend over the rest of the season. While Evans can haul in rebounds at an impressive rate, that is typically the only category he is an above average producer in. Jason Thompson could see more minutes than Evans at center off the bench.
Wed Apr 1 201519:06Evans will move back to bench Wednesday against Houston
Evans will move back to the bench Wednesday against Houston, Gary Gerould of ESPN reports.
Evans got the start while DeMarcus Cousins rested Monday, but he'll shift back to the bench with Cousins in the lineup Wednesday. Evans is not a fantasy consideration in nearly any format.

Evans got the start at center Monday, scoring seven points (3-4 FG, 1-2 FT) with seven rebounds and a steal in just 18 minutes.
DeMarcus Cousins was getting the night off, but Evans didn't get enough court time in his place to make any kind of impact as the Kings went with a smaller lineup for much of the night. Cousins should be back for Wednesday's game against the Rockets, returning Evans to the bench.
Sat Mar 21 201500:37Evans grabbed 16 rebounds in Friday's win against Hornets
Evans grabbed 16 rebounds in Friday's win against the Hornets. He added four points and two assists in 21 minutes of action.
Evans was always known to be a one-category player, and Friday's performance showed that. He made the most of the injury to DeMarcus Cousins, so expectations should be put into their place when Cousins returns.

Evans (knee) won't take the court Saturday against the Clippers in Los Angeles, the Cowbell Kingdom reports.
Evans will miss a second game in a row due to a right knee contusion. However, he'll be afforded three full days to recover in time for the Kings' next game Wednesday against the Grizzlies.

Evans (knee) is considered questionable for Saturday's game against the Clippers, the Cowbell Kingdom reports.
Evans is currently dealing with a knee injury and his status for Saturday's game won't be revealed until closer to tipoff.

Evans will miss Friday's game against the Celtics due to a right knee contusion.
Evans' absence Friday could result in Carl Landry and Derrick Williams splitting more reserve minutes at power forward and center for the Kings on Friday. Right now, it's uncertain if Evans will be available for Saturday's road game versus the Clippers.

Evans once again filled in for DeMarcus Cousins (illness), grabbing 16 rebounds and scoring 11 points (5-13 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT) Friday in a loss to the Suns.
Evans has been a great rebounder in place of Cousins, grabbing six or more in six games this month, but his scoring isn't anything to be excited about. Cousins's return is inevitable, too, so Evans's role as a starter won't last much longer.
Fri Dec 26 201422:11Evans back in starting lineup Friday against Suns
Evans is back in the starting lineup Friday against the Suns.
Evans was limited to just seven minutes off the bench last Sunday and he sat Monday, presumably with lingering issues related to his knee injury. He will return to the starting lineup Friday, however, suggesting he will be available to close his normal run against Phoenix.
Mon Dec 22 201408:57Evans (knee) returned to action Sunday after one-game absence
Evans (knee) returned to action Sunday after a one-game absence. He put up two points and four rebounds in seven minutes off the bench.
Evans missed Thursday's game with left hip and knee contusions. With the team's new directive to get out and run more following the firing of coach Mike Malone a week and a half ago, Evans could find himself on the outside looking in most nights going forward. Over his last four games, Evans has averaged 2.2 points and 3.6 rebounds in 12 minutes per game.
Sun Dec 21 201409:32Evans listed as probable for Sunday's game against Lakers
Evans is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Lakers, cowbellkingdom.com's James Ham reports.
Evans missed Thursday's game with knee and hip contusions, but should be ready to go on Sunday. He's remains only a deep-league option for rebounds, and will still have to battle Carl Landry, Derrick Williams and Ryan Hollins for backup minutes.
Thu Dec 18 201416:06Evans (knee) ruled out for Thursday's matchup with Bucks
Evans (knee) has been ruled out for Thursday's matchup with the Bucks.
Evans suffered contusions to his knee and left hip Tuesday against Oklahoma City and will not play after initially being listed as questionable. The blow of losing Evans will be softened by the expected return of DeMarcus Cousins (illness), who's missed the last 10 games.

Evans (knee/hip) is questionable for Thursday's matchup against the Bucks, Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee reports.
Evans had just four points on 2-of-6 shooting in Tuesday's contest, and apparently got a little banged up in the process. With DeMarcus Cousins (illness) questionable for Thursday's contest as well, the Kings may find themselves a bit short-handed in the big man department. If neither is able to suit up, Jason Thomson, Derrick Williams and Carl Landry would have to shoulder most of the workload down low.
Tue Dec 16 201421:07Evans will get start at power forward Tuesday
Evans will get the start at power forward Tuesday, Cowbell Kingdom's James Ham reports.
With DeMarcus Cousins out, the Kings will give Evans the start, presumably alongside Jason Thompson. When Evans gets minutes, he's a rebounding machine, of course starting doesn't guarantee big minutes. Consider him a good flyer in deeper leagues given the Kings' coaching situation.

Evans scored just five points (2-2 FG, 1-6 FT) in 18 minutes of action Thursday in an overtime loss to the Rockets.
Evans started the game for the Kings, but Derrick Williams saw the majority of the action at power forward over Evans. Williams scored 17 in 34 minutes of playing time. Evans's minutes have fluctuated, playing in 30 and 34 minutes in his previous two games, respectively, but playing a combined 36 minutes in the two games before that.

Evans scored eight points (3-3 FG, 2-2 FT) and added 14 rebounds, one assist and one steal in 30 minutes of action against the Lakers on Tuesday.
Evans will definitely supply owners with rebounds as he continues to start for the Kings due to the absence of DeMarcus Cousins.
