Forte accumulated 71 yards on 18 carries and hauled in five passes for 38 yards and the game-winning touchdown in Sunday's 18-17 triumph over the Chiefs.

As has become commonplace of late, Forte was bottled up in the run game, finishing with less than a four-yard-per-carry average for the third straight week. During that span, his production has also been devoid of big plays, as he's failed to gain more than 12 yards on any of his 63 carries. That said, Forte remains one of Jay Cutler's favorite check-down options in the pass game, and the running back's prowess as a receiver paid huge dividends in the fourth quarter. With the Bears trailing 17-12, Forte reeled in a seven-yard dart from Cutler with 18 seconds remaining, taking it into the end zone for the go-ahead score. It marked just his second touchdown of the season, with his first coming all the way back in the Week 1 loss to the Packers. Despite Forte's relatively disappointing production over the last four weeks, he'll remain a focal point in the team's attack, and looks like a dependable fantasy option heading into the upcoming week's matchup against 0-5 Detroit.

Forte rushed for 91 yards on 25 carries and added 64 yards on four receptions in Sunday's win over Oakland. He lost a fumble during the contest.

After being held without a catch for the first time since 2011 last week, Forte replenished his stat column on Sunday, nabbing all four of the passes that came his way. Forte, as he has been for several seasons, is a darling in PPR leagues and can rack up yardage, but owners have to be concerned about the fact that he's scored just once through four games after finding the end zone 22 times in 2013 and 2014. He's still an obvious starter, but may not be able to carry teams as he has in the past without scoring more.

Forte (knee) had 20 carries for 74 yards in Sunday's 26-0 loss at Seattle. Surprisingly, he did not catch a single pass on three targets.

Jimmy Clausen started for an injured Jay Cutler (hamstring), and the Bears struggled to generate much offense without starting WR Alshon Jeffery (hamstring). As usual, Forte has been solid this season, totaling 345 yards from scrimmage, but he's playing with a lot of negative circumstances right now. He should find more room next week, however, at home against the Raiders.

Forte (knee) is listed as active Sunday at Seattle, Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Forte will be the focus of the Bears' offense with Jay Cutler and Alshon Jeffery out with respective hamstring injuries. The going may be tough against a Seahawks defense that has allowed no touchdowns but 240 total yards to opposing running backs this season.

Forte (knee) is probable for Sunday's game in Seattle.

Despite being limited throughout the week of practice, Forte should still get plenty of touches in Sunday's game, with both Jay Cutler (hamstring) and Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) sidelined. Of course, Forte may have a hard time turning those touches into production, as the Bears don't figure to put up many points or yards.

Forte (knee) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.

Forte has dealt with knee issues in the past, namely a sprained MCL in his right knee that cut short his 2011 campaign, but the extent of the current injury is unknown. While his ability to take part in some drills Wednesday seems to intimate that it's minor in nature, owners should keep a watchful eye on his status as the week continues.

Forte rushed 15 times for 61 yards and caught four passes on five targets for 55 receiving yards Sunday against the Cardinals.

Coming off an excellent Week 1, Forte wasn't nearly as effective Sunday, especially when the Cardinals' defense could focus on him more after starting quarterback Jay Cutler was knocked out of the game in the second quarter because of a hamstring injury. If Cutler is unable to play in Week 3 against the Seahawks, Forte could be a more focal point of the offense, though the Seahawks are also more likely to key on stopping him.

Forte carried 24 times for 141 yards and one touchdown while adding five catches on eight targets for 25 receiving yards Sunday against the Packers.

A monster game for Forte, who dominated the touches out of the backfield, as Jacquizz Rodgers finished with four carries for 16 yards and Jeremy Langford rushed once for one yard. The Bears threw the ball just three more times than they ran it, as offensive coordinator Adam Gase built Sunday's game plan around Forte. There was some preseason fear that Forte wouldn't be used as heavily as in years past, but the Bears showed Sunday that he is still very much a focal point. Up next is a Week 2 home game against the Cardinals.

Forte made his preseason debut Saturday against the Colts, recording 24 yards on eight carries and reeling in a 12-yard reception.

After resting in the exhibition opener the week before, Forte saw three series Saturday, producing two plays of 10-plus yards. Coach John Fox has pledged to reduce Forte's snap count this season by working offseason acquisitions Jeremy Langford and Jacquizz Rodgers into the backfield mix, but has also stated a commitment to run the ball more, which may in effect keep Forte's 2014 totals of 266 carries and 1,038 rushing yards relatively stable. Instead, it's the passing game where Forte -- who set an NFL record for catches by a running back (102) last season -- figures to see the starkest decline in production, especially with a similarly skilled pass catcher like Rodgers in the fold.

Forte (rest) was held out of Thursday's preseason opener against the Dolphins.

Coach John Fox acknowledged that Forte has been healthy throughout training camp, so it looks like a case where the team simply didn't want to open him up to any potential injury by having him suit up Thursday. The Bears' plan for Forte isn't clear for the next two preseason games, but even if he does happen to take the field, expect his usage to be limited to only a few drives. Forte doesn't figure to see nearly the volume of targets in the passing game as he did last season in former head coach Marc Trestman's precision-passing based offense, but he's still unquestionably the driving force of the Bears' attack even with a new coaching staff in place.

Coach John Fox suggested Monday that Forte could be in line for a reduction in snaps this season, ESPN Chicago's Jeff Dickerson reports. "It's a positive that [Forte] has had a number of carries and the production he's had, both catching the ball and running the ball," Fox said. "We've always been believers in kind of a one-two punch and rolling guys through there...a wave of those guys to stay fresh. I've always had [that approach] with running backs."

Despite his team's overall struggles, Forte was fantasy gold under Marc Trestman the past two seasons, ranking fourth among all NFL running backs in carries (555) and first in receptions (176) during that span. While he still profiles as a dual-threat lead back in Fox's system, it appears safe to predict that he won't be on the field for 92 percent of the Bears' offensive snaps again, as was the case last season. With the Bears adding Jacquizz Rodgers in free agency and fourth-rounder Jeremy Langford through the draft, Fox has ample bodies at his disposal to relieve Forte, who has subtly indicated his dissatisfaction with the prospect of decreased playing time, especially with his contract expiring after the season. While the situation likely won't result in Forte holding out for a new deal, it's not clear if the Bears' new brass has any intention of re-signing the running back, who will turn 30 in December. If it becomes increasingly apparent as the season wears on that Forte will not receive a new deal, expect the likes of Rodgers, Langford, and second-year back Ka'Deem Carey to cut further into his snaps.

Though Forte was not present at Tuesday's voluntary minicamp, he indicated that he plans to attend subsequent OTAs and the Bears' mandatory minicamp, the team's official site reports.

While there was some speculation that Forte's absence might be motivated by a desire for a contract extension, the running back quickly shot that notion down. "I'm not there because I'm finishing my third week of rigorous speed training, which we do not do at Halas Hall," Forte noted. "This was already my plan as of season's end last year because after evaluating myself (which all players should do) I felt I was missing something." Forte is coming off a 2014 season in which he carried 266 times for 1,038 yards and six touchdowns, to go along with 102 catches for 808 yards and four receiving TDs.

Forte had 17 carries for 51 rushing yards and eight catches on 12 targets for 23 receiving yards during Sunday's loss to the Vikings. Forte finishes the season with 102 receptions, a single-season record for catches by a running back, ESPN.com reports.

In addition to his record-setting reception total, Forte rushed for over 1,000 yards for the third consecutive season and fifth time in his career. He is, without a doubt, the focal point of the Bears' offense, and while he still has another year on his contract, he will most likely look for a new deal in the offseason.

Forte had 19 carries for 55 rushing yards and six catches on six targets for 40 receiving yards and a touchdown during Sunday's loss to the Lions.

Forte had only five carries for six yards against the Lions back in Week 13, and while he improved dramatically on that front, he was still held out of the end zone. Thankfully for fantasy owners, Forte is still a big receiving threat, particularly with wide receiver Brandon Marshall (ribs) out for the season. Up next is a Week 17 matchup against the Vikings, who are allowing the 10th-most rushing yards per game this season.

Forte gained 78 yards on 16 carries, adding 21 yards on two receptions, in Monday's 31-15 win over the Saints.

Both Jay Cutler and the Chicago offensive line failed to show up, but Forte was still trying to barrel through tacklers in the fourth quarter of a blowout. While his effort was impressive, Forte was largely held back by the incompetence around him, which has increasingly become an issue over the past three weeks. A Week 16 matchup with the Lions isn't encouraging, as Forte managed just six yards on five carries when the division rivals met on Thanksgiving. Of course, his contributions as a receiver still make him a must-start in nearly any format, even if expectations for the Chicago running game are low.

Forte had 13 carries for 26 yards and a touchdown, adding eight receptions for 74 yards on nine targets, in Thursday's 41-28 loss to the Cowboys. He also lost a fumble for just the second time this season.

Forte didn't have much luck on the ground against a weak Dallas defense, and the Bears had to abandon their running game in the second half. As pass-heavy as Chicago has been the past two weeks, it seemingly has more to do with matchups and game situation than anything else. Forte fell shy of 17 carries in just three of his team's first 11 games, so he probably won't lack for touches in the coming weeks. Chicago's next matchup is with the struggling New Orleans defense, which has been quite friendly to opposing running backs this season.

Forte recorded five carries for six yards and six receptions (on nine targets) for 52 yards during Thursday's loss in Detroit.

Forte was the culprit, at least on the ground, of a pass-heavy game plan, which saw the Bears finish with 48 passes versus eight runs. On the season, he's failed to surpass 40 yards rushing only two other times, and Thursday's six-yard offering was his least productive since a two-yard effort against the Packers on Sept. 25, 2011. Fortunately, his status as a do-it-all threat took form through the air, as he gathered in six balls for the eight instance in 12 games this season.

Forte had 23 carries for 89 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while adding five catches on six targets for 23 receiving yards Sunday against the Buccaneers.

Forte continues to be the best offensive weapon in Chicago, as he was the only player to accumulate more than 40 yards. He's now gotten 49 rushing attempts in the last two games, while also catching 11 passes on 12 targets for 81 receiving yards, though he's got a very tough matchup in Week 13 against the Lions, who came into Sunday allowing the fifth-fewest passing yards, while giving up the fewest rushing yards per game this season.

Forte (non-injury) missed practice Wednesday, Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Forte's absence is merely a veteran's day off, with 173 carries and 67 receptions on his ledger through 10 games this season. Expect the running back to be unhinged upon his return to drills later this week.

Forte had 26 carries for 117 rushing yards and six catches on six targets for 58 receiving yards Sunday against the Vikings.

Forte has rushed for over 115 yards in two of the last three games, with one receiving touchdown over that span. He continues to be the most-used offensive player for the Bears, and he'll look to keep his solid play going in Week 12 against the Buccaneers, who are ranked 18th in rushing yards allowed per game this season and 29th in passing yards allowed.
