Thu Jan 16 201412:31Oklahoma City Thunder sign Royal Ivey
Royal Ivey has signed with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Ivey has only played five NBA games since 2008-9, so it's likely that he's solely being brought in on a 10-day as a fresh body for the Thunder. Fantasy owners can feel free to spend their waiver wire time elsewhere.

Wed Jan 15 201411:32Royal Ivey to sign 10-day deal w/ Thunder
Free agent G Royal Ivey is reportedly set to sign a 10-day contract with the Thunder.
Ivey averaged 3.2 points with the Sixers last season and wasn't able to latch on with a team this year despite trying out for the Spurs and Rockets, among others. He's not a fantasy option even while Russell Westbrook (knee) is on the shelf.

Fri Oct 25 201313:20Hawks waive Royal Ivey Friday
Hawks waive G/F Royal Ivey.
He only played in 55 minutes over his three games with the team. Ivey might catch on with another team, but he might have to play overseas for a bit.

Thu Sep 19 201311:06Royal Ivey gets camp invite from Hawks
Point guard Royal Ivey has been invited to Hawks training camp.
It's a non-guaranteed deal and he'll simply be trying to make the team as a third point guard, although he appears to be long shot at this point. However, he could end up making the team if Lou Williams' knee injury is expected to keep him out for an extended chunk of the season.

Sat Aug 24 201315:55Royal Ivey to work out w/ Hawks and Spurs
Royal Ivey has workouts scheduled with the Rockets and Spurs.
Ivey was limited to 3.2 points in 13 minutes per game with the Sixers last season, and he'll serve a minimal backup role wherever he lands. The Spurs don't seem to be a likely destination considering they already have Tony Parker, Cory Joseph, Patty Mills and Nando De Colo.

Tue Mar 5 201322:34Royal Ivey scores 10 in another start
Royal Ivey started at shooting guard again on Tuesday and had 10 points, two rebounds, three assists, three steals and two 3-pointers on 4-of-9 shooting in 37 minutes.
He's starting in place of injured Nick Young, and could be worth a temporary pickup with Young's ankle injury possibly keeping him out all week. He had 17 points in another start on Saturday.

Sat Mar 2 201322:14Royal Ivey scores 17 points in fill-in start
Royal Ivey scored a season-high 17 points in a start at SG on Saturday, making all six of his FG attempts, including 4-of-4 from downtown.
Ivey was promoted due to Nick Young's sprained left ankle. Young is day-to-day, which diminishes Ivey's appeal in standard leagues, though Doug Collins has been transparently unhappy with his starters lately anyway, and Young was averaging just 19.7 minutes in his previous three games. Deep league owners should at least keep a close eye on him.

Tue Jan 22 201320:04Royel Ivey will start at shooting guard
Royal Ivey will start at shooting guard against the Bucks on Tuesday.
The move to the starting lineup is more of a negative statement on Dorell Wright than anything else. In 23 games this year, Ivey played just 11 minutes per game and shot 41.7 percent from the field. We'd leave Ivey on the wire in almost all leagues and Wright's value also takes a hit. Nick Young may have missed an opportunity here and we'll see how he performs in his usual bench role.

Mon Dec 31 201209:33Royal Ivey to become part of the rotation
Royal Ivey will become a consistent part of the rotation, according to Doug Collins.
Collins like Ivey's toughness on the defensive end. It's not clear who will lose minutes as a result, but the Philadelphia Inquirer speculates that one of Jason Richardson, Dorell Wright and Nick Young will lose some time on the floor.

Thu Dec 13 201212:22Royal Ivey won't travel with team, out Friday
Royal Ivey (strep) will not travel with the team to Indiana and will not play against the Pacers on Friday.
With Jrue Holiday (foot) undergoing an MRI, Maalik Wayns could be staring at some serious playing time. Evan Turner should also do a lot of ballhandling if Holiday is unavailable, and he'd see all the minutes he could handle.

Wed Dec 12 201217:45Royal Ivey out Wednesday night with strep
Royal Ivey won't play Wednesday night against the Magic due to a case of strep throat.
The Sixers also upgraded Damien Wilkins to a game-time decision Wednesday. Ivey, on the other hand, sat out the last two games with a groin injury. Neither have much fantasy value and this news shouldn't impact most leagues.

Fri Dec 7 201217:22Royal Ivey ruled out Friday vs. Celtics
Royal Ivey (groin) won't play Friday night against the Celtics.
Ivey's status for Friday's game has flip-flopped over the past two days, but this decision shouldn't really change the fantasy landscape. Ivey is behind rookie Maalik Wayns on the Sixers' depth chart and is irrelevant in fantasy leagues.

Fri Dec 7 201208:45Royal Ivey listed as probable for Friday
Contrary to a previous report, Royal Ivey (groin) is probable to play on Friday.
Regardless, Ivey is not on the fantasy radar and has fallen behind rookie Maalik Wayns on the depth chart.

Wed Dec 5 201210:13Royal Ivey day-to-day with strained groin
Royal Ivey is day-to-day with a strained groin.
Maalik Wayns has overtaken Ivey as Jrue Holiday's backup, so Ivey isn't relevant in fantasy leagues.

Tue Oct 23 201201:18Ivey starts; posts 12-4-5 line vs. Knicks
Royal Ivey started at PG in Monday's win over the Knicks, scoring 12 points on 5-of-11 shooting (including two threes) with four rebounds and five assists in 41 minutes.
Jrue Holiday was given the night off to rest and when Doug Collins' current backup PG Maalik Wayns left the game with a head contusion, Ivey was more than willing to go on a full-game audition. Being the No. 3 PG in Philly right now, he has no fantasy value whatsoever.

Sat Oct 13 201222:33Royal Ivey quiet in start at SG for Philly
Royal Ivey started at SG for the Sixers on Saturday, finishing with seven points and four rebounds in 16 minutes.
Jason Richardson and Dorell Wright were both given the night off, yet Ivey still didn't produce a line worth remarking upon. At the moment, J-Rich is the favorite to start at SG in Philly.

Fri Jul 27 201213:55Sixers sign veteran G Royal Ivey to contract
Sixers signed G Royal Ivey.
Ivey will return to the Sixers where he's expected to serve in a backup point guard capacity. He's not expected to see much playing time and is therefore not a consideration in fantasy circles.
