Wed Sep 4 201317:34Trevor Crowe delivers game-winner
Trevor Crowe delivered a game-winning single in the bottom of the ninth Wednesday as the Astros edged the Twins 6-5.
It was his second RBI single of the game, giving him his first two-RBI day in the majors since Oct. 1, 2010. Crowe, who missed 2 1/2 months with a shoulder injury, has started all four games since coming off the DL on Sept. 1. One would think the Astros would be more interested in playing younger guys than 29-year-old journeymen, but since that doesn't seem to be the case, Crowe might have a little AL-only value this month.

Trevor Crowe has taken over as the Astros' starter in right field for the time being.
He's taking over for Jimmy Paredes, who is batting just .190/.242/.274 this season and has just one hit in 21 June at-bats. Of course, Crowe is hitting only .194/.286/.274 himself, so he shouldn't get too comfortable with his starting role. He's likely to head back to the bench when Justin Maxwell returns.
