Mon Jan 6 201410:47Free agent Mickael Pietrus says 'NBA or bust'
Veteran F Mickael Pietrus has turned down 15 offers to play overseas, according to his agent, because he wants to return to the NBA.
"We're open and active, waiting for the best opportunity for Mickael," said his agent. "It's the NBA or bust." Pietrus is only 31 years old and he may well earn a 10-day contract with some team, but either way he's irrelevant for fantasy purposes.

Tue Jul 9 201313:22Knicks contact FA Mickael Pietrus
The Knicks have contacted free agent Mickael Pietrus.
Pietrus will work out for interested NBA teams when he returns to the U.S. two weeks from now, so nothing is imminent. He played in just 19 games with the Raptors last year, before being shut down by knee tendinitis, and he'd assuredly be signing a minimum-salary contract.

Pietrus is not an option in even extremely deep formats as his knees are simply never healthy.

Sun Dec 16 201216:23Pietrus scores just two points in 21 minutes
Mickael Pietrus scored just two points in 21 minutes against the Rockets on Sunday.
Pietrus' minutes have been cut severely since the return of Alan Anderson and he's also been unable to hit double figures in scoring in any of his last four games. He can be let loose in standard leagues.

Tue Dec 11 201201:07Pietrus scores nine points in loss to Blazers
Mickael Pietrus scored nine points on 3-of-13 shooting (1-of-7 from deep) with three rebounds and one steal in 38 minutes on Monday against the Blazers.
As long as Pietrus is healthy and the Raptors remain banged up, he'll be a good bet to score points and hit 3-point buckets. His knees are on their last lap and he'll be a threat for random DNPs, but there's value to be had here if you're comfortable with the risks.

Mon Dec 10 201220:55Pietrus back in the starting lineup Monday
Mickael Pietrus (knee) will start for the Raptors against the Blazers on Monday.
Pietrus sat out of Sunday's game with left knee tendinitis, but he felt well enough to suit up tonight. There's a good chance that Pietrus' knees might not be able to take back-to-back sets, so just keep that in mind for owners that are looking to ride his hot start with his new team.

Sun Dec 9 201214:53Pietrus (knee) will not play on Sunday
Mickael Pietrus (left knee tendinitis) will not play against the Clippers on Sunday.
Pietrus has been plagued by knee problems for quite some time and he's likely going to need some days off here and there. That said, he's been putting up nice numbers so far this year and is worth a look in some leagues. Linas Kleiza will draw a start, but he doesn't have much fantasy value with a health issues of his own.

Sat Dec 8 201203:38Pietrus scores 13 points with four treys
Mickael Pietrus hit four 3-point shots and put up 13 points, four rebounds, three blocks, and a steal in another start at small forward on Friday against the Jazz.
Pietrus looks like he has the starting small forward job locked down for the foreseeable future, and the lack of wing depth makes him a decent starting option that could go to 'good' with just a few more solid games to show he has staying power. He carries plenty of injury risk and the small sample size might be deceiving, but we'd have a hard time not taking a flier on him if we're holding some dead weight.

Thu Dec 6 201202:14Mickael Pietrus scores 21 in 40 minutes
Mickael Pietrus started for the Raptors on Wednesday and exploded for 21 points, six rebounds, a steal and two 3-pointers on 8-of-15 shooting in a whopping 40 minutes.
Pietrus had totaled just nine points in his two other games this season, but was clearly a huge part of Toronto's rotation tonight with Linas Kleiza, Alan Anderson and Landry Fields all out with various injuries. And while Anderson and Fields aren't due back anytime soon, if Kleiza continues to sit with a hip injury, Pietrus could be ready to go on a tear. He's worth a possible flier in deep leagues, and is worth keeping an eye on over the next couple games in all other leagues.

Thu Nov 29 201219:05Toronto will sign G/F Mickael Pietrus
The Raptors will sign Mickael Pietrus, according to USA Today.
The report from Sam Amick also mentions that Dominic McGuire could be released. The Raptors are very thin on the wing with Landry Fields and Alan Anderson both injured. We still like rookie Terrence Ross to bust out sooner or later, so Pietrus can be left on the wire in all but the deepest of leagues.

Wed Nov 28 201218:51Report: Raptors eying Mickael Pietrus
According to ESPN.com's Marc Stein, the Raptors have ramped up their search for a SF and are particularly interested in Mickael Pietrus.
The Raptors nearly traded for Pietrus after the lockout ended before a knee injury scrubbed the deal. Toronto is missing swingmen Alan Anderson (foot) and Landry Frields (elbow) and could definitely use depth at the position. So far, Pietrus had been linked to the Lakers, Spurs and T-Wolves, but his financial demands have gotten in the way.

Sat Nov 24 201214:13Report: Lakers inquired about Mickael Pietrus
Mickael Pietrus is among the free-agent guards the Lakers have inquired about recently, a source tells Yahoo! Sports.
The Spurs were reportedly interested in Pietrus as well but the swingman is apparently unwilling to accept the veteran's minimum. The Lakers, who are far over the salary cap, reportedly also have interest in Raja Ball. If the Lakers add either guard, they'll likely be of little interest to fantasy owners.

Mon Nov 12 201217:36Timberwolves interested in Mickael Pietrus
The Timberwolves have spoken to Mickael Pietrus' representatives, but Pietrus has thus far declined to accept an offer for the veteran's minimum.
The Wolves won't increase their offer, and it seems Pietrus may prefer to sign elsewhere for marginally more money. The Pacers also inquired about his services once Danny Granger was shut down.

Wed Nov 7 201213:32Pacers reach out to Pietrus as Granger sub
The Pacers have "already reached out" to free agent Mickael Pietrus.
With Danny Granger out approximately three months (at least), the Pacers are going to need some help on the perimeter. Pietrus certainly wouldn't fill Granger's shoes or even come close to it, but he would give the team a veteran presence on the wing. It's worth noting that Pietrus has had knee problems of his own, so it's not like he would come without injury risk.
