Blair, 23, has thrown back-to-back six-inning shutouts for Triple-A Reno.
He has 14 strikeouts and four walks while allowing eight hits over those 12 shutout frames, and appears to have snapped out of a midseason funk. The 6-foot-5 righty is a top-100 prospect in dynasty leagues and would figure to be the next arm in line if the Diamondbacks need to dip into the Triple-A ranks for some rotation help down the stretch.

Blair had his next start shifted from Wednesday to Friday, which could be related to trade talks, according to Chris Cotillo of SB Nation.
The Diamondbacks are rumored to be in pursuit of Aroldis Chapman from the Reds and moving Blair's start could signal that he is part of trade discussions or that he could be needed to replace someone in Arizona's rotation. Blair has been just okay for Triple-A Reno, posting a 4.55 ERA and 1.35 WHIP with 24 strikeouts in 29.2 innings, but he has mid-rotation upside and is ready to audition for a rotation spot in 2016, whether it's with the D-backs or another team.

Blair, 23, has a 5.16 ERA and 19:9 K:BB ratio through 22.2 innings for Triple-A Reno.
An argument can be made that Blair has passed Braden Shipley as the top prospect for the Diamondbacks, though Blair has had two great starts and two awful outings thus far in Triple-A. Neither appears MLB-ready at this point, though.

Blair made his Triple-A debut Wednesday, allowing eight runs on seven hits, including two home runs, and two walks, while striking out four in four innings.
Not the debut that Blair wanted, but he should correct things next time out. Blair's strikeout rate dropped this year with Double-A Mobile and it bears watching as it will provide some indication of his eventual ceiling in the majors.
Thu Jun 18 201512:09Blair promoted to Triple-A Reno on Wednesday
Blair was promoted to Triple-A Reno on Wednesday, MiLB.com's Sam Dykstra reports.
Blair was certainly deserving of the promotion, posting a 2.70 ERA and 1.12 WHIP with 64 strikeouts in 83.1 innings in the Southern League in the first two months of the season. While Blair is a no-doubt top-100 prospect, he does not profile as more than a No. 3 starter at the big league level due to his lack of bat-missing stuff. However, he should be very beneficial in ERA and WHIP. Look for him to debut with the Diamondbacks later this season.

Blair has a 6-2 record in 12 starts at Double-A Mobile, with a 2.59 ERA and 1.14 WHIP and 58 strikeouts in 76.1 innings.
Blair has out pitched fellow prospect Braden Shipley thus far at Mobile and should reach Triple-A at some point later this season. His strikeout numbers suggest he hasn't been overpowering, but he is limiting walks and home runs effectively, which are equally important in his development.

Blair gave up two runs on five hits and a walk, while striking out five, over six innings Tuesday for Double-A Mobile.
Blair has a 3.02 ERA and 1.19 WHIP with 32 strikeouts in 44.2 innings for Mobile. His strikeouts are down slightly from his short stint at Mobile last year, but he is still progressing in a way that should still land him in the majors some time next year.
