Darko Milicic is participating in World Carp Classic 2013.
Milicic said it's a "done deal" that he won't sign with an NBA team, so why not try his hand at professional fishing? Obviously, this has no fantasy relevance, but we just had to pass it along.

Doc Rivers said that Darko Milicic's return to the Celtics is unlikely.
Milicic will likely head to Europe to be with his ill mother, and it wouldn't be surprising if this is the end of the line in the NBA for Darko.

Darko Milicic (personal) will not play against the Pistons on Sunday.
Darko hasn't played in any of Boston's last eight games. Detroit fans that sit near the road team's bench may be the only ones disappointed because they won't be able to boo one of the worst draft picks ever.

Fri Nov 2 201211:30Darko Milicic healthy, DNP in season opener
Darko Milicic (wrist) was active in the Celtics season opener, but he did not play.
Milcic's wrist is healthy enough for him to play, so we're taking him off the injury report. He's a candidate to rack up several DNP-Coach's Decision in the box score this season.

Darko Milicic continues to practice, but his right wrist is "heavily taped."
Darko said that he was 100 percent healthy, but the heavy tape could be an indication that he may not be all the way back just yet. Despite the tape, Milicic is expected to be ready for the opener.

Wed Oct 24 201214:10Darko returns to practice for Celtics
Darko Milicic practiced on Wednesday despite a wrist injury that kept him out of another game on Sunday.
Darko's not a fantasy target right now, but he said he's "100 percent" healthy, and he could get enough run to warrant a waiver-wire pickup if he gets enough minutes in the middle for the Celtics.

Sun Oct 21 201219:36Darko (wrist) should be ready for C's opener
Darko Milicic (wrist) sat out another game on Sunday, but Doc Rivers said he isn't concerned about the injury.
Darko's absence is precautionary, and we expect him to have a sizeable spot in the rotation on opening night. He will likely even start a few games at center this season, depending upon matchups, so keep an eye on him in deep leagues.

Tue Oct 16 201218:54Darko Milicic out two games w/ wrist injury
Darko Milicic is expected to sit out Boston's games on Tuesday and Thursday with a "mild right wrist injury."
Doc Rivers is hopeful that Darko will return to action vs. the Knicks on Saturday. The underachieving veteran has actually been playing well for the Celtics this preseason, and could even start at center on occasion, when Boston wants to play a big lineup with Kevin Garnett at PF.

Mon Oct 15 201222:03Darko Milicic injures wrist Monday
Darko Milicic had six points, three rebounds and a block before leaving Monday's game with a right wrist injury.
He has strained ligaments and might need an injection for the pain, leaving him iffy for Tuesday's preseason game. Believe it or not, Darko is working nicely into Boston's plans, but it would still be a shock to see him worth drafting in fantasy leagues. He is day-to-day for now.

Sat Oct 6 201211:39Darko plays well in preseason opener
Darko Milicic played well in his preseason opener for the Celtics, racking up six rebounds and two blocks in 16 minutes.
The Celtics have a huge hole at center, with Kevin Garnett playing out of position as the starter, so an effective Milicic would be big for Boston. We doubt he'll be worth owning in fantasy, but Darko is worth keeping an eye on.

Wed Oct 3 201208:10Darko Milicic takes hard spill at practice
Darko Milicic took a "hard spill" at practice on Wednesday and is unlikely to return.
Milicic walked off on his own, so we're not overly concerned about his health at the moment. Even if he's in peak condition, Darko is simply in Boston for depth at the center position.

Fri Sep 28 201211:37Celtics officially sign Darko Milicic to deal
Celtics sign F/C Darko Milicic.
The transaction is now official and Milicic will be nothing more than a big body behind Kevin Garnett during his tenure in Boston. We sincerely hope somebody films the first practice session between KG and Darko.

Thu Sep 20 201210:15Celtics to sign UFA Darko Milicic to contract
Updating a previous item, the Celtics will sign Darko Milicic.
Terms of the deal are not yet disclosed, but it's hard to imagine Milicic getting anything more than a minimum deal. He'll serve as depth behind Kevin Garnett and not much more.

Thu Sep 20 201208:51Report: Celtics favorite to ink Darko Milicic
The Celtics are considered the "favorite" to sign Darko Milicic.
We're taking this with a grain of salt as the report originated in Europe, but it's worth noting that the C's had previously expressed interest in the big man. Milicic apparently turned down a three-year, $6M offer from Real Madrid, and the Celtics could use some more size down low. Milicic has no fantasy value.

Mon Aug 20 201208:11Real Madrid could pursue FA Darko Milicic
Real Madrid reportedly finds unrestricted free agent Darko Milicic "tempting."
Milicic, who was amnestied by the Timberwolves, cleared waivers and has had no market stateside in the NBA, previously said through his agent that he is not looking to play overseas. However, Darko may not have an option as no team has expressed interest in bringing him into the fold. He has career averages of 6.0 points and 4.2 rebounds on 46 percent shooting after being drafted No. 2 overall back in 2003.
