According to Jon Morosi of FOXSports.com, Mark Grudzielanek has decided to retire. |
"I put in all this work but never really thought about what I accomplished," said Grudzielanek. "Now I look at it, and I was a .290 career hitter for 15 years. I'm very thankful. I was able to stay healthy enough to do that. Now it's time to carry onto the next adventure." The 40-year-old batted .273/.328/.273 with 11 RBI in 110 at-bats with the Indians last season before being designated for assignment by the club in June. He calls it a career with a .289 lifetime batting average and 2,040 career hits over 15 major league seasons. |
