Rollins, a Rule 5 pick who was suspended 80 games Friday for testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance, will be taken off the 40-man roster but will remain the Mariners property for the duration of the suspension, the Seattle Times reports.

Rollins tested positive for stanozolol, an anabolic steroid. "It was when I got back from winter ball and I was sore and I was trying to speed up my recovery," Rollins said. Tyler Olson is now a near lock to land the second lefty role in the bullpen. Joe Saunders is still in camp, but he has struggled this spring. The Mariners could go with only one left-hander in Charlie Furbush, however.
