RHP Cody Hall was released to open a spot on the 40-man roster for INF Robert Andino. Hall, 28, was the San Francisco Giants' 19th-round pick in 2011. While Hall has been serviceable at Sacramento this season, his strikeout rate declined dramatically to 7.3 K/9, more than three strikeouts below his career average. He also took a pretty significant step back with his control (3.5 BB/9), and it seems likely he will serve as merely a middle-relief option down the stretch.

Hall will start the season in Fresno after spending all of 2014 at Double-A Richmond. In six spring training appearances, Hall allowed 10 hits and six earned runs while striking out six across 6.0 cumulative innings.
