Fri Dec 9 202213:43Victor Reyes Agrees With The White Sox
The Chicago White Sox agreed to a minor-league deal with former Detroit Tigers outfielder Victor Reyes on Friday, according to a source. The deal includes a non-roster invite to spring training. Reyes will stay in the American League Central after he was designated for assignment in November by the Tigers. The 28-year-old will give the White Sox some much-needed outfield depth heading into next season. Reyes played in 92 games in his fifth year for Detroit and slashed .254/.289/.362 with only three home runs, 34 RBI, 27 runs scored and two stolen bases in 336 plate appearances. He has only 16 home runs and a .264 batting average in five major-league seasons, giving him very little fantasy appeal as a bench player.

Sun Jun 5 202211:32Robbie Grossman, Victor Reyes Nearing Rehab Assignments
Detroit Tigers outfielders Robbie Grossman (neck) and Victor Reyes (quadriceps) could start minor league rehab assignments early next week. Grossman has been on the injured list for around a week, and he could rejoin the Tigers at some point next week, barring any setbacks on his rehab assignment. The 32-year-old switch-hitter just hasn't been able to get off the ground in 141 at-bats this year, as he's hitting just .199/.311/.241 with no home runs, 10 RBI, 13 runs scored and two stolen bases in 42 games. Reyes went on the IL on May 16 with a right quadriceps strain. The 27-year-old was hitting .292/.346/.458 with an .804 OPS, no home runs, four RBI and one run scored in 11 games before his injury, and he should return to at least semi-regular playing time when he's reinstated.

Thu May 26 202222:17Victor Reyes Resumes Running On Thursday
Detroit Tigers outfielder Victor Reyes (quad) started running on Thursday. He was placed on the 10-day injured list after suffering a right quad injury two weeks ago. The 27-year-old continues to progress and will likely begin a rehab assignment soon. He is slashing .292/.346/.458 with four RBI and one run scored over 11 games in 2022. Derek Hill and Willi Castro should continue to see an uptick in at-bats while Reyes is sidelined.

Mon May 16 202209:17Victor Reyes Will Be Returning To The Injured List
Detroit Tigers outfielder Victor Reyes (quad) will be returning to the 10-day injured list, according to Tigers beat writer Cody Stavenhagen. Reyes was forced to exit Sunday's game against the Baltimore Orioles after suffering a right quad injury. The timing of the injury is unfortunate for Reyes as he had just been activated off the injured list Sunday morning. He had missed nearly a month with a left quad strain. Derek Hill and Willi Castro stand to see increased playing time in the coming weeks as fellow outfielder Austin Meadows (illness) is also heading to the 10-day injured list.

Sun May 15 202214:42Victor Reyes Suffers Injury On Sunday
Detroit Tigers outfielder Victor Reyes (leg) was forced to exit early during Sunday's game against the Baltimore Orioles. This is a shame because Reyes was just activated before this contest. He missed time due to a quad strain, so the injury on Sunday could be related. Derek Hill replaced Reyes in the second inning of this contest. Fantasy managers will have to check back later in the day for an update on Reyes.

Fri Apr 22 202215:33Tigers Put Victor Reyes On 10-Day Injured List
The Detroit Tigers placed outfielder Victor Reyes (quadriceps) on the 10-day injured list on Friday with a left quadriceps strain and recalled outfielder Derek Hill from the minors in a corresponding move. It's not immediately clear how Reyes suffered the injury, but he was off to a solid start this year, hitting .261 with a .711 OPS in 25 plate appearances for Detroit. Hill lost out to Reyes in a spring training battle for the fourth outfielder job and started the regular season on the injured list. The 26-year-old was a first-round pick in 2014 and is known for his speed and outfield defense. Robbie Grossman, Austin Meadows and Akil Baddoo will be the team's starting outfielders on Friday against Colorado Rockies right-hander Antonio Senzatela.

Sun Sep 26 202107:20Victor Reyes Dealing With Groin Injury
Detroit Tigers outfielder Victor Reyes was removed from Saturday's 5-1 win over the Royals with a right groin injury. He went 1-for-1 before exiting on Saturday. The severity of his injury is unknown at this time, and Reyes is considered day-to-day. According to manager AJ Hinch, he isn't sure when Reyes would return. The groin injury comes at the wrong time for Reyes, who was on fire over his last four games, hitting .615 (8-for-13) with two doubles, three RBI, and a stolen base. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status as he could return before the season ends. Daz Cameron would see an uptick in at-bats while Reyes is sidelined.

Tue Sep 21 202116:53Victor Reyes Goes 4-For-4 On Tuesday
Detroit Tigers outfielder Victor Reyes had a big game in the team's 5-3 win over the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday. He went 4-for-4 with a double, a stolen base, two RBI and a run scored. The 26-year-old is now slashing .250/.277/.407 with five home runs, five stolen bases, 22 RBI and 26 runs over 74 games on the year. His playing time has been extremely inconsistent, but he's now started three straight games. He could start to see an increase in playing time with Derek Hill (knee) out for the year, but he isn't someone worth targeting in fantasy leagues at this point.
