Orioles re-signed LHP Rich Rundles to a minor league contract.
Rundles allowed three runs over 13 1/3 innings at Triple-A Norfolk in 2012 after being signed out of the independent Atlantic League. The 31-year-old hasn't appeared in the majors since 2009 and is unlikely to make it back up in 2013.

Thu Jun 7 201216:59Orioles purchase contract of LHP Rundles
The Orioles have purchased the contract of left-hander Rich Rundles from the Lancaster Barnstormers of the independent Atlantic League.
Rundles had a 3.02 ERA in eight starts with the Barnstormers. The 31-year-old left-hander hasn't appeared in the majors since 2009 as a member of the Indians and posted a 1.80 ERA and 29/15 K/BB ratio in 30 relief innings with the Cardinals' Triple-A affiliate last year. There's a little bit of history here, as Dan Duquette drafted Rundles in the third round of the 1999 draft when he was GM of the Red Sox. Rundles will report to Triple-A Norfolk, but he'll strictly serve as organizational depth.
