F David West and G Manu Ginobili combined to hit one of their 11 shots and scored four points in the Spurs' 118-100 win against Portland on Tuesday. Ginobili was 0-for-4 and had just two free throws in 18 minutes of play. West was 1-for-7 from the floor in 17 minutes.

Instead, West's intrigue primarily lies in daily leagues, where fantasy players can take advantage of his expected low price and utilize him in instances where he's in the starting lineup in place of Duncan.

West has agreed to a veteran minimum contract with the Spurs, David Aldridge of NBA.com reports.

West declined a $12 million option to remain with the Pacers earlier in the offseason and will now head to San Antonio for just $1.2 million. In addition to the major pay cut, West should come off the bench with the Spurs as he plays behind Tim Duncan and LaMarcus Aldridge. He formerly was a perennial starter in Indiana and his new role in the Spurs' crowded frontcourt should hurt West's value when considering that he was allotted 28.7 minutes per game last season, a total that he'll likely have trouble duplicating as he joins the Spurs in pursuit of the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy.

West informed the Pacers that he will decline his player option for next season, Candace Buckner of the Indy Star reports.

West was set to make $12.6 million next season, but he'll opt out in hopes of landing a longer-term deal. At age 34, West is unlikely to find a deal that pays him upwards of $10 million per season, but he's still a productive player, so securing a multi-year deal is certainly feasible. West averaged 11.7 points and 6.8 rebounds in 28.7 minutes per game last season. At this point, it's unclear whether the Pacers, who are looking to become a more versatile team, will be interested in bringing him back.

Pacers president Larry Bird stated during exit interviews that he wants to use smaller and faster lineups, meaning West can expect less minutes if he decides to stay in Indiana next year. At age 34, West's best years are behind him, and owners shouldn't expect too much from the veteran in 2015-16, especially if he returns to the Pacers.
