G Tony Parker is expected to return to five-on-five workouts in about a week after undergoing surgery on his left quadriceps tendon. Coach Gregg Popovich said Parker has been participating in two-on-two and three-on-three drills at full speed and is expected to return in December.

PG Derrick Rose missed the game because of the sprained left ankle suffered Friday in Milwaukee. Coach Tyronn Lue said he didn't know when Rose would return. The NBA upgraded the foul committed by Bucks C Greg Monroe that injured Rose to a flagrant-one. Monroe wrapped Rose around the neck on a drive to the hoop with 10:12 left in the game, but was assessed only a common foul.

C Nikola Vucevic said he'd never beaten LeBron James before, and the Orlando Magic were facing a 17-game losing streak to the Cavaliers. Vucevic finally got that win while making 12 of 16 shots from the field.

PG Elfrid Payton is "going to miss some games," according to coach Frank Vogel. Payton underwent an MRI exam Saturday, which showed a "mild to moderate" left hamstring strain suffered in Friday's loss to Brooklyn.

C Jonas Valanciunas (left ankle sprain) left the game after playing 15 minutes with an ankle injury. He had five points and four rebounds. He will have an MRI.

C Joel Embiid (left knee rehabilitation) did not play Saturday as he continued to rest in the second half of back-to-back games, just as he did last season as a precaution because of past foot and knee injuries.

G DeMar DeRozan was listed as questionable before Saturday's game with the flu. He played and scored 30 points in a win over Philadelphia. "I'm not shocked about that," teammate Kyle Lowry said. "That's what h e does, the man shot 16 free throws. I think we gave him a little more time to isolated tonight. When he gets a chance to work and do what he does, that is why he is so good at what he does. Given the opportunity to take his time and be patient, he pretty much gets what he wants."

G/F Joe Johnson scored four points and passed Tom Chambers for 40th on the NBA's career scoring list.

G Ricky Rubio had 19 points and 10 assists Friday, making his way back to Minnesota after playing six seasons for the Timberwolves. Rubio was announced first for Utah before the game and received a standing ovation while waving to the crowd.

G Jamal Crawford scored 17 points, all in the fourth quarter, in Minnesota's nail-biting 100-97 win over the Utah Jazz. "I think you saw," Timberwolves coach Tom Thibodeau said of Crawford's potential impact. "It's amazing. It doesn't take him much to get going." Crawford hit a 3-pointer to take sole possession for sixth in NBA history in 3-pointers made with 2,051. He's sixth among all active players in games played (1,183).

G George Hill led the Kings with 21 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field in their win over Dallas on Friday night. Hill also came up with the crucial play of the game when he scored with 16.1 seconds left to give Sacramento a 91-86 lead. "George Hill came up big down the stretch," Joerger said. "A lot of guys in the locker room that have been on the other side of a Zach Randolph where you need a bucket you throw it down on the right block. A lot of guys made a lot of big plays in different areas."

F Zach Randolph replaced F Skal Labissiere in the starting lineup against the Mavs on Friday night. Randolph sat out the Kings' regular-season opener against Houston after undergoing oral surgery.

G Devin Harris missed Friday night's game against the Kings after the death of his brother, who was killed in an automobile accident early Thursday morning.

G Elfrid Payton left Friday's game in the second half with a hamstring injury.

C Nikola Vucevic had a career-high 41 points in Friday's loss to Brooklyn. Vucevic surpassed his previous career high of 37 and also hit a career-high six 3-pointers -- three more than his previous career best. He added 12 rebounds and hit 17 of 22 shots but it was not enough for Orlando, which lost despite hitting 18 3-pointers. "I can't imagine him having a better game than he did tonight," Orlando coach Frank Vogel said of Vucevic. "His shot-making was ridiculous."

F Luol Deng, who started and played 13 minutes in the 108-92 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday, was inactive for Friday night's game. Corey Brewer started in his place.

G Michael Carter-Williams (knee soreness) did not play Friday.

F Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (personal) did not play Friday.

G Kentavious Caldwell-Pope served the second game his two-game NBA suspension on Friday night.

C Alex Len, who missed Wednesday's loss to the Portland Trail Blazers with a sprained left ankle, made his season debut.
