Mon Mar 2 201517:34Richardson (knee) will not play Monday against Raptors
Richardson (knee) will not play Monday against the Raptors, Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Richardson, who recently returned from a two-year absence, will be held out on the second night of a back-to-back after playing 26 minutes against the Pacers on Sunday. With Robert Covington also out, it's unclear who will get the call at shooting guard, but JaKarr Sampson and Robert Covington are the two most likely candidates. Barring a setback, expect Richardson to be back in the mix Wednesday.

Richardson (knee) scored 16 points (6-11 FG, 4-8 3Pt) with four rebounds, two assists and a steal in 25 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Bucks.
Someone has to score for the Sixers, and it looks like Richardson will be that guy, at least on the nights his creaky knees allow him to suit up. If you're looking for a boost in three-pointers, he could be worth a trip to your waiver wire.

Richardson (knee) started Wednesday's game against the Bucks.
Richardson will return after resting his knees in the back end of a back-to-back set Monday against the Heat. In two appearances over the weekend, though, he averaged seven points (on 38 percent shooting), six rebounds, 1.5 assists, one three-pointer, and one steal in 21 minutes.
Mon Feb 23 201516:02Richardson (knee) will not play Monday against Heat
Richardson (knee) will not play Monday against the Heat, Dei Lynam of CSN reports.
The veteran returned to the court Friday after missing more than two years after various surgeries, finishing with seven points and seven rebounds in 18 minutes. He played 24 minutes in Sunday's loss to Orlando, and he'll be held out Monday on the second game of a back-to-back. The team's medical staff will continue to monitor Richardson's knees closely, and he's not likely to be a reliable fantasy contributor unless he proves capable of handling a consistent minutes load. In his absence Monday, JaKarr Sampson or Hollis Thompson will likely slot in alongside Isaiah Canaan in the backcourt.

Richardson (foot) started Friday, his first appearance in a game in over two years. He scored seven points (3-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt) and added seven rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a block in 18 minutes against the Pacers.
It was a pretty strong performance, especially in light of Richardson's long absence. If Richardson can stay healthy, there is plenty of room in the 76ers rotation for him. He has interesting flier potential for managers in very deep leagues.

Richardson (foot) will start at shooting guard in Friday's game against the Pacers, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Richardson's return to action Friday will mark his first appearance since January of 2013. No matter, given the deluded state of the Sixers' current roster, the 34-year-old Richardson will start for Philadelphia on Friday. While not much can be expected from the Sixers' elder statesman, it's still encouraging to see J-Rich back on the court.
Fri Feb 20 201512:06Richardson (foot) questionable for Friday's game against Pacers
Richardson (foot) is questionable for Friday's game against the Pacers, Max Rappaport of Sixers.com reports.
Richardson hasn't played in an NBA game for more than two years, and it appears his prolonged absence may finally come to an end. The 76ers need all the warm bodies they can get, but Richardson still doesn't figure to get much run this season, as he's mostly valued for his role mentoring the team's young players.
Thu Feb 19 201513:04Richardson (foot) took part in practice Thursday
Richardson (foot) took part in practice Thursday, Tom Moore of Calkins Media reports.
This marks the second straight day Richardson has taken part in a full practice, so it's a distinct possibility he could return to action Friday against Indiana. The veteran hasn't played in more than two years, so it's best to take a wait-and-see approach in terms of evaluating his fantasy value.

Richardson (foot) participated in 5-on-5 drills at Wednesday's practice, Tom Moore of Calkins Media reports. "It feels great to be playing 5-on-5 with your teammates," Richardson said. "It's been a long time coming."
It's been more than two full years since Richardson played in an NBA game, but he's aiming to return to action within the next week. He said he hopes to play Friday against Indiana, though the Sixers will likely wait to make a decision until they see how his knee/foot react Thursday. When Richardson returns, he's not likely to make much of a fantasy impact.
Tue Feb 3 201518:52Richardson (foot) now shooting to return from injury on Feb
Richardson (foot) is now shooting to return from his injury on Feb. 20, the Bucks County Courier Times' Tom Moore reports.
He had been aiming at getting back before the All-Star break, but likes the idea of having more time to practice and take part in altitude training in Denver. It's really hard to say what kind of role he will have when he comes back, as the Sixers are looking to the future, and Richardson is clearly not in those plans.
Fri Jan 30 201519:14Richardson (foot) hoping to make comeback before All-Star break
Richardson (foot) is hoping to make a comeback before the All-Star break, the Bucks County Courier Times reports.
Richardson has been able to participate in 5-on-5 scrimmages during practice and seems to be progressing from the stress fracture in his right foot. Upon his eventual return to the court, Richardson is not expected to take on a significant role and will likely play limited minutes even when fully healthy.

Richardson (foot) is aiming to return to the court at some point in January, Yahoo! Sports reports.
Richardson has missed nearly two years, last playing in an NBA game on January 18, 2013. He underwent knee surgery last February and said Thursday that he's two or three weeks away from returning to practice. At present, he's limited to running on a treadmill and doing light shooting drills. Richardson holds career averages of 17.5 points and 5.0 rebounds but it remains to be seen whether he'll hold a meaningful role with the Sixers, who have turned to a youth movement while angling for draft position.
Sat Oct 25 201415:13Richardson has stress fracture in right foot
Richardson has a stress fracture in his right foot, the Bucks County Courier Times' Tom Moore reports.
He was also rehabbing from left knee surgery, so it's conceivable that he won't see the court much, if at all, this season.
Mon Oct 13 201414:23Richardson's role with Sixers for 2014-2015 season should be con...
Richardson's role with the Sixers for the 2014-2015 season should be confirmed soon. Coach Brett Brown stated, "Soon we're going to know what's going to happen with his playing days," Tom Moore of Calkins Media reports.
The 33-year old Richardson didn't play last season after he was recovering from knee surgery. At this point, we can be certain he won't be starting like he did in 827 of his 838 career games. With that in mind, coach Brett Brown said he wants to keep Richardson on the team, but Brown still isn't sure whether he wants Richardson to be a player or mentor.
Fri Aug 29 201413:11Richardson (knee) will be given opportunity to make final roster
Richardson (knee) will be given an opportunity to make the final roster, but is more likely to be bought out of his contract, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. The report comes following an interview with 76ers general manager Sam Hinkie.
Richardson missed all of the 2013-14 season after suffering a series of setbacks in his recovery from left knee surgery. In fact, Richardson last played an NBA game in January of 2013. The 76ers will need to cut several players to get down to a 15-man roster after they acquired four incoming rookies in June's draft, as well as Alexey Shved and Luc Mbah a Moute in the two-for-one Thaddeus Young trade. Fantasy owners should prefer that Richardson be bought out, because that would add some amount of clarity to the 76ers depth chart. If Richardson makes the final cut, it would add confusion to the valuations of Shved, KJ McDaniels, and Hollis Thompson.
Thu Jun 12 201416:42Jason Richardson will opt into final year
Jason Richardson will opt into his final year with 76ers worth $6.6M.
This is a no-brainer for Richardson as he would not receive anything close to six million on the open market. This past season with the 76ers was his first in Philadelphia and he only managed to play in 33 games, averaging a career-low 10.5 points. As Philly looks to rebuild off of their bad season, it doesn't seem likely Richardson will see anything close to the 28 minutes a night he averaged last year.

Sun Mar 9 201412:05Jason Richardson (knee) suffers setback
Jason Richardson has been experiencing some swelling in his surgically repaired left knee, but is still pushing himself to return at some point this season.
"Yeah, I had some setbacks. I don't know," Richardson said Saturday. "Like I told [Brett Brown] when we talked a month ago, if it's 10 or 15 or two games, I want to come back. That's my goal." It's nice to hear that the veteran wants to return to the court, but that may not be in the cards for a team that is more than content to tank away the season. Richardson is on his last legs, and can safely be left on the wire in all leagues.

Fri Mar 7 201413:20Jason Richardson unlikely to play this season
Coach Brett Brown does not expect Jason Richardson (knee) to play this season.
As we saw with the Danny Granger situation, the Sixers don't want veterans suiting up and veterans don't want to be a part of their dumpster fire. Richardson holds a $6.6 million player option for next season.

Wed Feb 19 201414:48Jason Richardson goes through a practice
Jason Richardson (knee) was taking shots with the team during Wednesday's practice.
He was taking shots with his left hand, so the right-handed shooter obviously wasn't going out there with the serious intentions. Richardson's knee injury has kept him out all year and he's eyeing a return in mid-March. He's only worth a stash in very deep leagues.

Thu Feb 6 201409:23Jason Richardson to become player/coach?
Jason Richardson (knee) is eyeing a March return as a player/coach.
Richardson has been out all season after undergoing knee surgery last February. He finally took the court for the first time on Monday to take some jumpers and is planning on returning as a player/coach. "When you're on a young team like this, it's all about teaching. Coaching might be something I want to get into when my career is over. What better way to start than while you're playing?" There is a chance that the 32-year-old provides value in deep leagues if he returns this season, but he's not worth adding in any leagues at the moment.
