Prince (hip) will not play in Tuesday's game, CSNNE's Abby Chin reports.

Prince was considered doubtful, but he was not officially confirmed as out until after tip-off. Consider him day-to-day moving forward with the hip flexor.

Prince (hip) is unlikely to play Tuesday against the Knicks.

Prince, who did not play Sunday against Miami, said Tuesday morning that his chances of playing are "not looking good," but he also noted that his condition is improving, so he's yet to be ruled out. Prince got off to a slow start since coming over from Memphis, but he's scored at least 12 points in each of his last three games. Check back for a more definitive update prior to game time.

Prince missed Sunday's game against the Heat with a hip flexor injury, the Boston Herald reports.

Prince should be considered day-to-day moving forward ahead of Tuesday's game against the Knicks. If he's held out once again, his minutes will likely be spread out evenly across the roster as was the case Sunday.

Prince scored 19 points (7-10 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT) with five assists and two rebounds in 30 minutes off the bench Monday.

It was easily his best game since joining the Celtics, and coach Brad Stevens wisely decided to ride the hot hand. Prince has worked his way into Boston's regular rotation, averaging 22 minutes over the last five games, but don't expect much production from the veteran wing.

Prince played 19 minutes and scored two points in his Celtics debut Monday against the Clippers.

Prince came over from Memphis in the Jeff Green deal last weekend but did not play in the Celtics' last three contests. His future with the team remains somewhat murky, and there's still a chance he could be waived at some point, as he clearly does not fit into the franchise's current rebuilding plan.

Prince will join the Celtics in Los Angeles this weekend, Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe reports.

There has been talk of the Celtics potentially buying out Prince's contract, and while that could still happen, he'll report to the team for the time being. It's unclear whether Prince will play in Monday's game against the Clippers, but he doesn't project to have much of a fantasy impact with his new team.

Prince will sit down with Celtics' GM Danny Ainge to determine whether the team will buy him out, Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports reports.

Prince, who was officially dealt to Boston on Sunday, would not seem to fit in with the Celtics' rebuilding plan, so it's quite possible the team could buy him out of his contract. The move could benefit both sides, as the veteran likely wouldn't hold a valuable role in Boston, and buying him out would allow him to potentially sign on with a contender in need of help on the wing.

This trade is likely not good news for Prince's fantasy value. The Celtics will likely want to give ample playing time to their younger players since they do not figure to be a contender this season. If that's the case Prince could average fewer than 20 points per game with his new squad, making him unreliable for fantasy owners in standard leagues.

Prince will not be available for the Grizzlies' game against the Suns on Sunday as he awaits an impending trade that will send him to the Celtics, The Commercial Appeal reports.

The Grizzlies, Pelicans, and Celtics are still awaiting the league office to officially open Monday so their trade over the weekend can be pushed through. Until the league does this, it appears that Prince will be shutdown.

Prince played Friday against the Pelicans, despite the reported likelihood of him being traded to Boston in the immediate future. Prince scored six points (2-7 FG, 2-2 3Pt) in 25 minutes of action.

Prince made it through the game unscathed, though it is likely that the trade would not be harmed even if Prince had been injured Friday. Since he made it through the game healthy, however, the point is moot.

Updating a previous report, a deal to send Prince to the Celtics has not yet been finalized, and he was told he would play for the Grizzlies in Friday's game, the Memphis Commercial Appeal's Ronald Tillery reports.

The deal that would send Jeff Green to Memphis apparently hinges on a third team, although several media outlets have reported that the trade is as good as done. It seems risky to play a player who has been promised to another team, but in Prince's place, even if he were to roll an ankle, the Celtics would probably still take him in the deal as his contract is more important than anything they expect to get from him on the court this season. Either way, it would be wise to shy away from using anyone involved in the deal in daily leagues Friday.

Prince's only chance at significant minutes was on a contending team that valued his veteran presence. On the Celtics, he could turn into an afterthought as the mantra will be developing young players.

Prince scored 12 points (5-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) with two rebounds, a steal and a block in 31 minutes off the bench Wednesday.

He continues to see big minutes in the absence of Zach Randolph (knee), but Prince just doesn't offer enough fantasy production to be a rosterable player in shallower leagues despite the increased workload.

Prince is averaging 28 minutes per game during the six games Zach Randolph has missed with a sore knee.

After struggling versus the Cavaliers and Jazz in 22 and 24 minutes respectively, Prince has been impressive in the four most recent games, during which he has seen a minimum of 29 minutes of action. In those four contests he has averaged 10.0 points (48.5 FG, 25.0 3Pt, 81.8 FT), 5.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.3 blocks in 31 minutes per game. Once Zach Randolph (sore knee) returns Prince will likely go back to playing his regular role. However, Prince has seen a much bigger boost in production and minutes during Randolph's absence than big men Kosta Koufos and Jon Leuer, both of whom have taken turns starting in place of the injured Z-Bo.

Prince came off the bench and scored eight points (4-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 0-2 FT) and added nine rebounds, four assists, and a steal in 29 minutes.

Tony Allen (eye) returned to the lineup, sending Prince back to the bench Friday. Despite the return to the bench, this was arguably the best game Prince has played this month. Prince is too inconsistent to have value in most standard sized leagues, but his role is large enough to be used in some very deep leagues.

Prince started Friday's game against the Bulls, The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.

Prince received the start in place of the injured Tony Allen (eye). It remains to be seen how much longer Allen will be sidelined.

Prince scored 20 pointes (8-11 FG, 4-4 3Pt) to go along with five rebounds, two assists and one block in 33 minutes during the Grizzlies' 107-101 loss versus the Spurs on Friday.

Prince hadn't played in four of the five games prior, but performed well given the chance on Friday with Tony Allen in foul trouble. Usually Quincy Pondexter receives solid playing time, but it's hard to argue with coach Dave Joerger's decision to stick with Prince on this night. If Prince can start hitting from deep more consistently, he might be able to earn a more regularly demanding role. Still, the veteran is not likely to regain fantasy relevance, and can likely be avoided in all formats.

Prince got the start at small forward Wednesday and responded with 15 points (6-8 FG, 3-4 FT) with three rebounds in 34 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Raptors.

A flu bug left the Grizzlies very short-handed for this one, and Prince stepped up with a solid effort and big minutes. Expect him to return to his spot towards the end of the bench once the rest of the roster gets healthier.

Prince received his second DNP-Coach's Decision of the season during the Grizzlies' 102-91 win versus the Suns on Wednesday.

With Courtney Lee (concussion) returning to the lineup and reassuming his starting role, Prince got the night off after filling in admirably as the starter for two straight games. Coach Dave Joerger clearly still values Prince, but he also made it clear during the preseason that he plans to limit the veterans minutes so that he's fresh come playoff time. During Prince's two starts he averaged 8.0 points and 4.0 rebounds in 25 minutes per game, and even if he's thrust into a more prominent role due to injuries, it's hard to envision him becoming a relevant fantasy option outside of the very deepest leagues.

Prince contributed two points (1-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three rebounds and one assist in 18 minutes during the Grizzlies' 71-69 win versus the Hornets on Saturday.

Starting in place of the injured Courtney Lee (concussion), Prince provided his now typically tiring stat line. Lee is not expected to miss too much time, but even if the Grizzlies do get hit hard by injuries Prince will have a hard time regaining relevance in fantasy outside of the very deepest leagues, and can be safely avoided in all formats.
