Wed Dec 18 201309:52Glen Rice Jr. injures wrist, doubtful Wed.
Glen Rice Jr. is "unlikely to play" in Wednesday's game after injuring himself during a post-game celebration on Monday.
"He got hurt in the celebration. Don't ask me. I don't know what it is. We can't catch a break," said coach Randy Wittman. "He's had a sore wrist the last couple weeks but we've been able to take care of it enough where he can still play. He got it jammed or something in the jubilation." Rice has yet to score double-digit points in the NBA and his absence should go unremarked in fantasy leagues.

Mon Dec 9 201321:36Glen Rice Jr. scores seven in start
Glen Rice Jr. made the first start of his career on Monday with a line of seven points, three boards, one assist, three steals and one 3-pointer on 3-of-9 shooting in 29 minutes.
He didn't play too well tonight and settled for a lot of jumpers when he probably should have been attacking. Rice was outstanding in the D-League playoffs last year with averages of 25.0 points, 9.5 boards, 2.0 steals and 2.0 blocks in six games, so he's capable of putting up lines at the lower levels. Of course, the NBA is a little different and Rice still has his work cut out for him to be a mainstay in the rotation.

Mon Dec 9 201318:56Glen Rice and Trevor Booker will start Monday
Glen Rice Jr. and Trevor Booker will start against the Nuggets on Monday.
This just goes to show how bad Chris Singleton was over the weekend, and the team still isn't comfortable in giving rookie Otto Porter minutes yet. Rice is worth a look in very deep leagues, but the expectations should be very low. However, Trevor Booker could be a double-double threat tonight.

Glen Rice Jr. could struggle for minutes as a rookie with the Wizards.
Not a huge shock for a second-round pick, but Rice Jr. faces a logjam with Bradley Beal, Martell Webster and Eric Maynor all projected to log time at shooting guard. A lot will need to happen for him to be a factor this season.
