Fri Oct 26 201208:02Joey Dorsey to part ways with Olympiacos
Joey Dorsey, who re-signed with Olympiacos in August, will part ways with the team.
Dorsey reportedly has an offer from an NBA team, and it sounds like he wants to pursue that opportunity. The big man was a second-round pick in 2008 and could be a useful energy big in the league on the right roster.

Sat Aug 4 201208:20Joey Dorsey re-signs w/ Olympiacos
Former Raptors big man Joey Dorsey has re-signed with Olympiacos in Greece.
Dorsey bounced around a few NBA teams after being drafted in the second round in 2008, and he seems to be carving out a productive career in Europe. In 17 games in the Greek league last year, he averaged 6.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 0.6 blocks in just 17 minutes per game. No word on whether his Greek deal has an out clause, but he doesn't seem to be drawing much interest in the NBA.

Wed Jun 29 201110:20Dorsey will become unrestricted FA
The Raptors will not extend a qualifying offer to Joey Dorsey, making him an unrestricted free agent.
Dorsey has already played for the Rockets, Kings and Raptors since being drafted in the second round of the 2008 draft. He's a rugged body but doesn't have the skill set to be a rotation player.

Mon Apr 11 201123:24Joey Dorsey grabs 20 boards in late start
Joey Dorsey made a last-minute start for Reggie Evans, who was a late scratch with a finger injury Monday, and went off for 10 points, a career-high 20 rebounds, a steal and a block in the loss to the Bucks.
He hit just 3-of-14 shots, but if you happened to grab him late and play him, this was a fun night. Evans is iffy for Wednesday, making Dorsey worth another look in that one for the banged up Raptors.

Thu Mar 10 201102:46Joey Dorsey plays through back injury
Joey Dorsey returned from a back injury and had six points and five rebounds in 12 minutes Wednesday.
He has no fantasy value under normal circumstances, and while the loss of Amir Johnson to an ankle injury helps his cause, it was probably negated by the return of Reggie Evans tonight, who had 11 rebounds in the loss.

Tue Mar 1 201118:20Joey Dorsey and Reggie Evans out Tuesday
Joey Dorsey (back) and Reggie Evans (foot) have both been declared out for Tuesday night's game.
Dorsey shouldn't stand to make much of an impact even if he did play. Evans is inching closer to his season debut following foot surgery.

Fri Feb 25 201119:36Dorsey (back) out on Friday vs. Phoenix
Joey Dorsey (back) missed his second straight game on Friday due to back spasms.
He has no real value in fantasy leagues and hasn't been a threat to the playing time of Amir Johnson and Ed Davis, at least lately.
Sun Jan 30 201100:05Dorsey (knee) returns to action on Saturday
Joey Dorsey (knee) returned to action on Saturday, playing three minutes with just one rebound to his credit.
He has been borderline available all week and has probably lost his roster spot. Things could change, but there's no real use for Dorsey in fantasy leagues at this time.
Tue Jan 25 201100:13Dorsey (knee) does not play on Monday
Joey Dorsey (knee) did not play on Monday against the Grizzlies.
He was potentially going to be available, but it wasn't in the cards at the end of the night. When he returns, he will conceivably cut into the value of starter Amir Johnson and rookie Ed Davis, but nobody really knows what Jay Triano will decide to do.
Mon Jan 24 201113:18Joey Dorsey could return Monday
Raptors big man Joey Dorsey (knee) could return to action on Monday.
Dorsey has a strained tendon, and if he can't play there will be more minutes available for Amir Johnson and Ed Davis. Dorsey's fantasy value, already minimal, will take another hit once Reggie Evans returns from his foot injury.

Sat Jan 22 201118:32Dorsey out Saturday w/ strained knee
Raptors PF/C Joey Dorsey won't play on Saturday as he recovers from a strained tendon in his right knee.
Dorsey started the Raptors' last game but doesn't have any fantasy appeal. He tried to warm up before this game so at least the injury doesn't appear too dire.
Sat Jan 22 201110:36Joey Dorsey out w/ strained knee tendon
Raptors big man Joey Dorsey has a strained right patella tendon and will be re-evaluated on Saturday.
Dorsey got a rare start to combat Dwight Howard and the Magic, but will now cede the starting PF job to Amir Johnson. Consider him day-to-day.

Fri Jan 21 201122:44Joey Dorsey starts, leaves with sore knee
Joey Dorsey started on Friday but failed to score before leaving in the third quarter with a sore right knee.
Consider him day-to-day and look for Amir Johnson to move back into the starting five for the next one. The Raptors are reeling, losers of six straight games.
Fri Jan 21 201119:04Joey Dorsey to start over Amir Johnson
Joey Dorsey will start over Amir Johnson for the Raptors on Friday.
This will be his seventh start of the season, but it doesn't sound like Amir is injured. Dorsey has had a few decent lines, but isn't worth owning in fantasy leagues.

Sun Jan 9 201113:02Dorsey starts in place of Amir Johnson Sunday
Joey Dorsey is starting in place of Amir Johnson in Sunday's game against the Kings.
Johnson is not hurt and is expected to play off the bench. It's a strange move after Johnson has started 19 straight games in place of Reggie Evans (foot). Dorsey has a limited offensive game and certainly can't be trusted in fantasy while Johnson's waning value takes another big blow.

Wed Dec 29 201002:46Dorsey starts for Bargnani again
Joey Dorsey started for Andrea Bargnani (calf) again on Tuesday, and scored seven points on 2-of-2 shooting with eight rebounds, two assists, four turnovers, and one steal in 20 minutes.
After Amir Johnson (back) lasted a career-high 42 minutes and posted a respectable 12 points and six boards, and Ed Davis had a career-night of 17 points, 12 boards, three steals, and three blocks, the frontcourt is a complete crapshoot. However, for long-term value, we still think Johnson is the player to own.
Mon Dec 27 201023:11Dorsey double-doubles in spot start
Joey Dorsey started for injured Andrea Bargnani (calf) on Monday, and double-doubled with 10 points on 5-of-6 shooting with 13 rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block in 30 minutes.
It's nice to see him produce with the time he's getting, but even with Amir Johnson (no points, four rebounds, 29 minutes) struggling it's hard to imagine him getting enough time to keep any fantasy value. For now, he's still waiver wire fodder.
