Amundson was traded to the Knicks on Monday as part of a three-team deal that also involved the Thunder.
Amundson has only appeared in 12 games for Cleveland this season and there's little reason to believe that he'll see extended playing time in New York. He will be slotted behind the likes of Jason Smith, Andrea Bargnani, Quincy Acy and Amar'e Stoudemire, which hardly leaves Amundson in a favorable situation.

Amundson appeared in a game for the first time in Dec. 8 and played three minutes with two points (2-2 FT) in the loss to the Hawks on Saturday.
Amundson only appears in blow outs and, unfortunately for the Cavaliers, they were on the wrong end of Wednesday's game. He is a practice body, but not much more.

Amundson played 16 minutes in the blowout win over Orlando on Monday. He provided five points (2-2 FG, 1-2 FT) and four rebounds.
Amundson only plays when the Cavaliers' game is no longer in doubt - either way. He can still provide defensive energy to the Cleveland second unit, but will not do so often enough to make most fantasy rosters.

Amundson made his Cavalier debut in the blowout win over Atlanta on Saturday. In nine minutes, he scored two points (1-3 FG) and grabbed two boards.
Amundson is buried on the depth chart and will only see playing time when the Cavaliers are in garbage time (assuming health). He has very limited fantasy value.

Amundson has not played in the first five games of the season for Cleveland.
Amundson can provide defensive energy for the Cavaliers' second unit, but it appears that he is just a practice body at this point.
Sun Oct 26 201411:39Amundson has made opening day roster for Cavaliers
Amundson has made the opening day roster for the Cavaliers, the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
The well-traveled Amundson has been bouncing around the league since 2006. He has never better than averaged 4.7 points and 4.4 rebounds. With Cleveland, he will only play if severe injuries or foul trouble occurs.
Fri Sep 19 201410:57Amundson signed training camp deal with Cavaliers on Friday
Amundson signed a training camp deal with the Cavaliers on Friday, HoopsHype reports.
The deal is unguaranteed, but the veteran big man will have an outside chance of cracking the roster if the team determines it could use another interior defender. Amundson played 18 games for the Pelicans and one for the Bulls last season.
Tue Jul 15 201418:12Bulls waive PF/C Lou Amundson
The Bulls waived Lou Amundson on Tuesday.
Amundson would have earned $1.3 million but his salary was fully unguaranteed, and he had minimal value in a Bulls frontcourt which already includes Joakim Noah, Pau Gasol, Taj Gibson, Greg Smith and Anthony Randolph.

Thu Apr 10 201411:52Report: Bulls to sign Lou Amundson
The Bulls are expected to sign Lou Amundson later on Thursday.
This is an update to a previous news item that stated they were interested in signing him. He's a big body that will be used for defensive purposes in the playoffs, but it's hard to see him doing much in the regular season, or playoffs.

The Bulls are rumored to be interested in signing Lou Amundson for the remainder of the season.
They're getting ready to make a run in the playoffs and Amundson would give them a big body to foul the likes of Roy Hibbert, Mason Plumlee and Udonis Haslem.

Tue Dec 31 201318:51Lou Amundson waived by Pelicans
The Pelicans have waived Lou Amundson.
He was extraneous with Alexis Ajinca playing well and the Pelicans' key PF/Cs healthy, with the exception of Jason Smith's sore knee. The veteran big man may latch on with another team but he's not a fantasy asset.

Wed Nov 13 201302:14Lou Amundson plays 8 minutes in debut
Lou Amundson, who signed with the Pelicans on Tuesday, played eight minutes and had three points, three rebounds and a block later that night in his debut.
He was so fresh the team didn't even have his name sewn on his jersey by game time, so he played incognito. Greg Stiemsma left tonight's game with a potentially serious knee injury, which could mean Amundson will get 10 minutes per game going forward. But that's not enough run for him to be owned in any fantasy league.

Lou Amundson is expected to work out with the Clippers for training camp.
The Lunatic has been rumored to be joining a number of teams for most of the summer, but the Clippers look to have landed another end-of-the-bench body. Amundson played 39 games with three different teams last year and is no lock to make the team. He has no fantasy value.

Tue Sep 3 201321:00Lou Amundson still looking for a team
Free agent PF Lou Amundson still hasn't signed with an NBA team, but his agent says he's getting closer.
Mark Bartlestein says both the Lakers and Clippers are interested in the big man, and that we should have an answer within a week. However, we basically reported the same thing way back on Aug. 9, so it's anyone's guess as to when we'll know where Amundson will be playing this year. Not that it matters in terms of fantasy.

Fri Aug 9 201312:49Amundson hoping to make a decision next week
Lou Amundson is hoping to make a decision on signing with a team next week.
He basically had to wait for Greg Oden to sign, but now he's one of the better veteran-minimum big men left on the market. The Knicks are among teams that are interested, but the Lunatic would need an injury or two to his prospective team to see regular minutes.

Fri Aug 2 201312:33Louis Amundson drawing some interest
Unrestricted free agent Louis Amundson is drawing interest from the Heat, Kings, Mavs, Hawks, Knicks and Pacers.
The Greg Oden domino will likely fall first, then teams still needing depth could look at Amundson. The Lunatic played one game with the Bulls and 20 with the Wolves last year. He almost certainly won't be in any rotation to start the season.

Fri May 10 201314:21Louis Amundson not expected back in N.O.
Free agent PF Louis Amundson is not expected to re-sign with the Pelicans.
A poor man's Reggie Evans, Amundson averaged 2.4 points and 3.2 rebounds in 18 appearances with New Orleans this season. He's now played for eight different organizations since breaking into the league in 2006. Amundson will likely have to settle for another non-guaranteed contract in 2013-14.

Mon Mar 11 201318:11Lou Amundson to sign with Hornets
Lou Amundson will sign with the Hornets for the rest of the season once his 10-day contract with the Bulls expires on Monday.
Amundson could have re-signed with the Bulls, but he hasn't cracked the rotation and might have a better chance at minutes in New Orleans now that Jason Smith (shoulder) is done for the season. He's not a fantasy option.
