The Bobcats are engaged in contract buyout discussions with Ben Gordon.

He's only played in one game since Jan. 11 and the writing has been on the wall for this one after the Bobcats couldn't trade him away for peanuts. Gordon is a career 40.2 percent shooter from deep, but his game has fallen off in the past two seasons. He could find another team, but there's no reason to add him in fantasy leagues until he lands in the perfect spot.

Gordon also met twice with Dunlap regarding the guard's limited role on the Bobcats. Despite an obvious desire to move the disgruntled Gordon, we can't imagine this will help his trade value.

Wow. Last season it was Tyrus Thomas who got into a spat with Paul Silas, and now Gordon isn't getting along with Dunlap. The team did not suspend Gordon because they didn't want to weaken his perceived trade value, but it's pretty weak as it is. The Nets, a team with rumored interest in Gordon, are reportedly "still mulling" an offer of Kris Humphries for Gordon, but don't appear inclined to make a move.
