Green (Achilles) will not play in Sunday's game against the Celtics.
Green will be missing his second-straight game but should be considered day-to-day ahead of Tuesday's upcoming game against the Pacers.

Green has been ruled out of Friday's game against the Kings due to a sore right Achilles.
Green will join teammates Luke Ridnour and Evan Fournier in being ruled out of Friday's game, which leaves the Magic's backcourt short of depth. Consequently, starters Elfrid Payton and Victor Oladipo should receive plenty of playing time, with veteran Ben Gordon capable of spelling Oladipo at shooting guard off Orlando's bench.

Green posted 11 points, two rebounds, and three assists in 32 minutes of action Sunday against the Hornets.
Green is averaging a solid 11.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.6 three-pointers made over the last five games. He's been coming off the bench, but is averaging 29.0 minutes per game during that span. He's worth a look in deep leagues.

Green is averaging 23.7 minutes per game in February and shooting 46.4 percent from downtown in those nine games.
Green has been playing minutes as the backup point guard for some time, and that role has transferred over under new coach James Borrego. He embodies Borrego's defensive mentality, and he'll continue to play meaningful minutes the rest of the season.

Green scored 13 points (4-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT) with two assists, one block and one steal in 24 minutes during Wednesday's victory over the Knicks.
Green played added minutes as Channing Frye left the game with a dislocated finger and did not return. There is no need to go out and add Green as he is a role player and should only be owned in the deepest of leagues.

Green had eight points (3-7 FG, 2-5 3Pt), and one assist in 20 minutes against the Spurs on Wednesday.
Green has been playing some back up point guard lately, mostly to give Elfrid Payton (knee soreness) some extra relief. Payton played 40 minutes on Wednesday, finishing with 14 points on 6-8 shooting to go along with nine assists and six rebounds. If Payton is healthy, Green is less likely to garner minutes at the point guard position moving forward.

Green has been playing minutes as the backup point guard over the past week, eliminating Luke Ridnour from the rotation.
Green scored 15 points in the Magic's previous game, playing 28 minutes with Victor Oladipo (Achilles) out and Elfrid Payton limited to 20 minutes. He provides solid defense and three-point shooting, but his new role will only make him fantasy viable if Payton, Oladipo, and Evan Fournier miss extended time.

Green scored a season-high 16 points (6-8 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT) in 16 minutes of action Thursday in a blowout loss to the Bucks, adding on one rebound and two steals.
This was a total fluke for Green, who had missed most of the season with a knee injury. He hadn't scored any more than seven points in a game this season and is averaging just 3.9 points per game on the year.

Green (illness) came off the bench for just six minutes against the Pistons on Tuesday and was able to register two assists and one steal during his short time on the court.
Green went a span of nine games without seeing time on the court, but that was only partly due to an illness that he was dealing with. He is currently averaging 15.1 minutes on the court per game this season although that's a bit misleading at this point in the year since the 33-year-old has fallen out of favor with coach Jacque Vaughn. Green is now giving way to the likes of Victor Oladipo, Evan Fournier, and even Ben Gordon which means that there's hardly any time left over for Green to make hay.
Tue Dec 23 201417:15Green (illness) will be active for Tuesday's game
Green (illness) will be active for Tuesday's game, the Orlando Sentinel's Josh Robbins reports.
He was dealing with flu symptoms Sunday, and that appears to be a thing of the past. However, for fantasy purposes, he probably won't see the necessary run to be viable in most formats.
Sun Dec 21 201416:38Green will not play against Sixers on Sunday due to illness
Green will not play against the Sixers on Sunday due to an illness, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Flu-like symptoms will keep Green out of action, though the veteran is not much of a fantasy commodity. Rookie Roy Devyn Marble will be activated in his place.
Wed Nov 19 201421:25Green, getting start at shooting guard with Evan Fournier (heel)...
Green, getting a start at shooting guard with Evan Fournier (heel) sidelined, scored just six points (2-10 FG, 1-5 3P, 1-2 FT) with four assists, three rebounds and a steal in 31 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Clippers.
Fournier isn't expected to be out for long, but even if he does miss more time Green may not get another chance to fill in for him after this performance.
Wed Nov 19 201418:19Green will get start at shooting guard Wednesday
Green will get the start at shooting guard Wednesday, the Orlando Sentinel's Josh Robbins reports.
Evan Fournier (heel) is out Wednesday, so the Magic will opt to go with Willie Green in the starting lineup to preserve the second unit. Do not expect Green to see starter's minutes, as the Magic have several players who are equally mediocre who will see minutes at shooting guard Wednesday.
Wed Oct 15 201422:47Green started at shooting guard in preseason debut
Green started at shooting guard in his preseason debut. He scored 11 points (4-6 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-4 FT), grabbed two rebounds, and dished out one assist in 20 minutes during Wednesday's game.
Coach Jacque Vaughn made it a point to get Green minutes coming off a hyperextended left knee. He scored six of the team's first 17 points against Brazil's Flamengo squad. Both Evan Fournier and Maurice Harkless did not play on account of rest.
Wed Oct 15 201410:50Green (knee) will be available to play in Wednesday's preseason ...
Green (knee) will be available to play in Wednesday's preseason game versus Flamengo (Brazil), the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Green has yet to make his Magic debut due to a hyperextended left knee, but his sideline spell should come to a close Wednesday. Now healthy, the veteran Green is expected to provide depth and experience to Orlando's backcourt this season.
Fri Oct 10 201410:40Green (knee) partially participated in practice Thursday
Green (knee) partially participated in practice Thursday, but won't play in Friday's exhibition, the Orlando Sentinel's Josh Robbins reports.
He has been limited all week, and the Magic won't rush him into action. He should have a small role this season given the depth and youth the Magic have on the wing.

Green (knee) is listed as a partial participant for Wednesday's practice.
Green sat out Tuesday night's preseason opener due to a hyperextended knee, but will take part in portions of Wednesday's practice session. While it's encouraging that the veteran is back on the court, Green's fantasy value will likely remain minimal in Orlando this season.

Green will not play in Tuesday's exhibition game versus the Heat due to a hyperextended knee, the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Green will sit out his first contest with the Magic, although it's unclear how long he'll need to recover from his knee ailment. In any case, the veteran Green is expected to be more of a depth player on a very young Magic roster this season. As a result, Green probably only holds fantasy value in deeper league formats.
Mon Jun 30 201418:15Magic claim Willie Green off waivers
The Magic claimed Willie Green off waivers on Monday.
Green is a good locker-room guy, and he will bring veteran leadership to a young Orlando roster. Green averaged 5.0 points, 1.4 rebounds, and not much else in 15 minutes off the bench for the Clippers last season, and he's not likely to have much value in Orlando despite the increased opportunity.

Sat Jun 28 201413:41Clippers don't pick up Willie Green's option
The Clippers will not pick up the team option on Willie Green's contract, making him a free agent.
The writing was on the wall with the Clippers selection shooting guard C.J. Wilcox on Thursday night. Green was a locker-room favorite, but his playing time really only came when the Clippers weren't at 100 percent. He'll likely join another team next season as an end-of-the-bench guy.
