Perkins made his Cavalier debut with two points and two fouls in two minutes in the win over the Pistons on Tuesday.

Perkins is just another big body off of the Cavalier bench. He likely will not take minutes away from Tristan Thompson. He could be a decent one-game rebounding flyer from time to time, depending on the Cavs' match up.

Perkins will be available Tuesday against Detroit.

The Cavaliers officially announced Perkins' signing Tuesday afternoon, and the big man will join the team in Detroit for Tuesday night's game. Perkins comes to Cleveland as insurance behind big men Timofey Mozgov and Tristan Thompson, and he doesn't figure to provide much in terms of fantasy production.

Perkins is hoping to make his Cleveland debut against Detroit on Tuesday, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Perkins will most likely see time as a reserve behind starting center Timofey Mozgov during the final stretch of the season in Cleveland. His move should help the Cavaliers in their quest for a NBA title, but the change of scenery doesn't necessarily benefit Perkins from a fantasy perspective. Most importantly, Perkins may take time away from Tristan Thompson down the stretch as they come off the bench for backup minutes in the frontcourt.

Perkins has completed his buyout with the Jazz and decided to sign with the Cavaliers, Royce Young of ESPN reports.

Perkins was traded from Oklahoma City to Utah on Thursday but never actually put on a Jazz jersey during his quick stint in Salt Lake City. Looking ahead, the veteran will bring a much-needed defensive stopper off the bench in Cleveland. He'll likely be slotted behind Timofey Mozgov while sharing minutes off the bench with Tristan Thompson. Although, Perkins struggles to produce in terms of fantasy and that will likely be the case yet again during his tenure in Cleveland.

Perkins is nearing a buyout with Utah and will decide where he signs Sunday, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

The expected favorites to land Perkins are the Cavaliers and Clippers. Both of these teams are in need of a center for various reasons and the veteran will likely see time in the rotation of whichever team he ends up with. However, Perkins will continue to be a lackluster option in terms of fantasy as he's never proven otherwise during his tenured stint in the NBA.

Perkins was traded to Utah on Thursday, Jody Genessy of the Deseret News reports.

In a deal that brings Enes Kanter to Oklahoma City, Perkins will head to Utah, where he's expected to be bought out in short order. Assuming that happens, he'll hit the market as a free agent and would likely draw considerable interest from contending teams.

Perkins will start for Steven Adams (hand) at Denver on Monday, The Oklahoman reports.

Adams is slated to miss at least three weeks following surgery on his broken right hand, and Perkins has been given the first opportunity to enter the starting five. However, in his sole nod of the season, Perkins mustered just four points, four rebounds, one assist, and one steal before fouling out after 27 minutes.

Perkins will likely see an uptick in playing time in his return from a one-game suspension after Steven Adams required surgery to repair a broken hand Monday.

Mitch McGary played very well in the absence of Perkins on Sunday night after Adams suffered the injury, and it's possible that the Thunder will opt to push McGary into a larger share of the minutes at center since he brings more upside to the table.

Perkins has been suspended one game for initiating head-to-head contact with the Pelicans' Tyreke Evans on Friday night, USA Today reports.

Perkins' headbutt of Evans will cost him a game check, and the timing is pretty poor for Oklahoma City. The Thunder host the Clippers on Sunday. Steven Adams figures to take on a greater share of the minutes in Perkins' absence, and Serge Ibaka may be forced to help pick up the slack at center.

Perkins started for Steven Adams (migraine) and provided four points (2-4 FG) and four rebounds in 27 minutes. He fouled out.

Perkins saw a bump in minutes but not in production. He tangled with Timofey Mozgov, who got called for a technical after taking a hard foul from Perkins. He can help in rebounds in very deep leagues.

Perkins will start against the Cavaliers on Sunday, The Oklahoman reports.

Normal starter Steven Adams is dealing with a migraine so Perkins may be in store for an extra portion of playing time Sunday.

Perkins played 23 minutes off the bench Tuesday, but was held scoreless on three shot attempts. He did manage three rebounds in the contest, however.

Perkins has played at least 20 minutes in four of his last five games, but has scored a combined 21 points in that span. He usually pulls down respectable rebounds for the amount of time he gets, but aside from that, he doesn't add enough in other categories to be a viable player on your team.

Perkins (knee) returned to action Sunday after a one-game absence. He put up four points and five rebounds in 14 minutes off the bench.

Perkins missed Friday's win over the Lakers with a left knee contusion. Through 27 games this season, he is averaging 4.0 points, 5.9 rebounds and 0.8 blocks in 20 minutes per game. Perkins is a virtual non-entity in standard leagues. Even if he were to ever overtake the starting center job again, he'd be unlikely to get enough minutes to be relevant in anything but the deepest of leagues.

Perkins (knee) is considered a game-time call for Sunday's game against the Pelicans, Anthony Slater of The Oklahoman reports.

After missing Friday's game with a knee bruise, Perkins will test out the injury during pregame before a final call on his status is made. If he's held out again, expect to see more of Nick Collison, who played 22 minutes Friday.

Perkins missed Friday's game against the Lakers with a left knee contusion and is considered day-to-day moving forward, The Oklahoman reports.

This injury flew under the radar with the news of Kevin Durant (ankle) missing Friday's game as well, although Perkins' injury is not believed to be serious and he has a serious chance to return against the Pelicans on Sunday. If he's unable to play, Steven Adams will likely absorb the minutes that Perkins is leaving on the court.

Perkins was held scoreless (0-3 FG, 0-2 FT) in 18 minutes of action against the New Jersey Nets on Monday. He added four rebounds and turned the ball over twice.

Perkins is slow, which leaves the Thunder vulnerable to transition buckets. He's simply a liability when on the floor both defensively and offensively. Steven Adams is the starter at C and a much better fantasy option. If you picked Perkins up after his 17-point anomaly on Saturday, go ahead and drop him now.

The 29-year-old isn't much of a fantasy commodity, and his numbers - 3.4 points, 4.9 rebounds last season - probably won't be significantly impacted this season.

Perkins missed all of the preseason with a hamstring injury, but he returned to practice Thursday and will have about a week to get himself conditioned for the regular season. While Perkins projects to be in the starting lineup again this season, second-year forward/center Steven Adams is sure to see plenty of minutes.

Perkins (quadriceps) will not play against the Timberwolves in Sunday's preseason game, the Star Tribune reports.

Perkins has been dealing with a quad injury since late September and consequentially has had an unproductive training camp. However, the 29-year-old is an aging veteran that hardly needs to go through training camp to be ready for the start of the regular season. With the capable and young Steven Adams nipping at the heels of Perkins, it's still unclear who will end up being the Thunder's starting center to open the season on Oct. 29 against Portland.
