Sat Jul 9 201109:57Maurice Evans upset by owners' tough stance
Maurice Evans, one of the NBA Players' Association vice presidents, believes that the league's owners had accepted the need for a lockout years ago.
In Evans opinion, the owners are taking an unrealistically firm stance. "If we were to agree to their deal, it would be the worst collective bargaining agreement in sports history," Evans said. "We would be a laughing stock ... They proposed rollbacks, salary freezes and things that don't promote any player growth or security." With the next CBA meeting a week away, there is still more acrimony than compromise.

Tue Apr 5 201123:46Evans scores 20 points with two threes
Maurice Evans scored 20 points on 9-of-13 shooting (including two threes) with three rebounds, one assist, and one block in 36 minutes on Tuesday.
Evans is hit or miss right now, but he's getting heavy minutes and that doesn't figure to change. If you're in a deeper league, his risk-reward ratio becomes favorable enough to consider an add.

Sun Apr 3 201121:55Evans logs 42 minutes in win
Maurice Evans started his fourth straight game Sunday, scoring 11 points to go with six rebounds in 42 minutes.
Coach Flip Saunders doesn't like playing Andray Blatche and Yi Jianlian together, so Evans is getting tons of burn. And as long as Nick Young doesn't come back, that will continue. Over the last four games, Evans is averaging 12.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.5 treys per game.

Thu Mar 31 201100:06Mo Evans, Jeffers play well w/o Booker
Mo Evans started Wednesday and had 21 points, three rebounds, five assists, two steals, a block and three 3-pointers, while Othyus Jeffers added 15 points and eight rebounds in the loss to the Heat.
Trevor Booker, who had been starting, was out again with his injury, allowing these two to get it done. Booker is hoping to return over the weekend, but for now, Evans is actually worth a look in most leagues, while Jeffers feels like more of a fluke - especially with Andray Blatche back in action.

Mon Mar 28 201100:17Maurice Evans comes on for Young, drops 23
Maurice Evans came on for Nick Young (knee) and scored 23 points in 36 minutes Sunday night.
The extent of Young's knee injury is not yet known, but Evans is worth a look. He started the second half at small forward and finished with eight rebounds, two treys and a block to go with those 23 points. Anyone starting in Washington deserves a look these days.

Sat Mar 26 201103:28Mo Evans scores 16 points in 22 minutes
Maurice Evans scored 16 points on 8-of-15 shooting (no threes) with seven rebounds and a steal in 22 minutes on Friday.
This is sort of surprising, as he is usually not very productive with his minutes, but the opposite was true tonight. We don't expect a wholesale change in that regard, but if the Trevor Booker foot injury is serious at all, then Evans may be worth keeping an eye on.

Wed Mar 23 201101:41Mo Evans scores six points in 29 minutes
Maurice Evans scored just six points on 2-of-8 shooting (including two threes) with three rebounds, no assists, and one steal in 29 minutes on Tuesday.
The issue with Evans is his low per-minute production, so even if he can stay on the court he has no guarantee of helping your squad. Leave him on the waiver wire even in deeper formats.

Sun Mar 20 201116:17Maurice Evans comes up big off Wiz bench
Maurice Evans was a big contributor off the bench for the Wizards on Sunday scoring 15 points on 7-of-11 shooting with a 3-pointer, a rebound, two assists, a steal and a block.
Evans may be worth considering if the injury bug lingers in Washington. With Nick Young, Josh Howard, Rashard Lewis, and Andray Blatche all sitting, Evans has seen enough minutes and shots to make him worth keeping an eye on. He still needs to prove himself a bit more but days like today are helpful in building some confidence.

Fri Mar 18 201123:14Mo Evans scores 15 off Wiz bench
Mo Evans came off the bench for 15 points, six rebounds, three steals and a 3-pointer in another loss.
The Wiz have lost 13 of their last 14 games and are now 1-31 on the road after tonight's loss at Toronto. Evans is worth keeping an eye on with all the injuries in Washington, but we doubt he's ever reliable enough to be started in fantasy.

Wed Mar 16 201100:49Evans plays 29 minutes in blowout loss
Maurice Evans played 29 minutes off the bench in Tuesday's blowout loss, scoring four points on 2-of-9 shooting with three rebounds, one assist, and one steal.
This is what he does and he can safely be ignored in fantasy leagues until he gives us a reason to pay attention.

Wed Mar 9 201100:40Mo Evans starts with many Wizards hurt
Mo Evans started with a multitude of small forwards out for the Wizards on Tuesday, and scored 11 points on 5-of-11 shooting (including a three) with three rebounds and two assists in 33 minutes.
It's nice to see the minutes tonight, but he has knee issues of his own and unless you're desperate for production and the linked players are all out, we're not grabbing him in most cases. We'd much rather own roster stash Jordan Crawford for his upside in the likely event Washington goes young.

Tue Mar 8 201118:51Mo Evans to start for Wizards
Mo Evans is in the starting lineup for the Wizards on Tuesday, making him a sneaky fantasy play.
He's joined by John Wall, Nick Young, Andray Blatche and JaVale McGee. Rashard Lewis, Josh Howard and Cartier Martin are out for the Wiz. The Bucks will start Brandon Jennings, John Salmons, Carlos Delfino, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute and Andrew Bogut, who is back from his arm injury.

Sun Mar 6 201123:18Evans picks up start for Wizards
Maurice Evans started in place of Rashard Lewis (knee) and Josh Howard (hamstring) Sunday.
Evans logged 30.2 minutes, but had just four points, one rebound and one assist. It's an embarrassing showing for a player trying to make an impression on his new team.

Sat Feb 26 201102:00Mo Evans makes his Wizards debut vs. Miami
Maurice Evans made his Wizards debut on Friday, playing 14 minutes on his way to seven points on 3-of-6 shooting (including a three) with two rebounds and no assists.
He plays behind a banged up corps of wings, but he isn't exactly a picture of health himself. He can safely be ignored for now since he's not a great bet to be productive even if he got the chance.
Wed Feb 23 201119:58Mo Evans now playing for Washington
Mo Evans was traded to the Wizards on Wednesday.
He'll come off the bench, but could become a useful player if Rashard Lewis and Josh Howard continue to struggle with injuries.
Wed Feb 2 201123:23Mo Evans scores 12 in win over Raptors
Mo Evans hit 5-of-7 shots for 12 points and two 3-pointers in Wednesday's win.
He got a rare start due to Marvin Williams being out with a suspension, but Marvin will be back on Friday. Ignore Evans, but give Williams a look if you're in a deeper league and need a forward.
Sun Jan 30 201101:33Evans starts for Marvin (suspension) vs. DAL
Maurice Evans started for Marvin Williams (suspension) on Saturday, and scored four points on 2-of-4 shooting with two rebounds and no other statistics in 21 minutes.
There are few starters in the league that will produce less than him on a nightly basis.
Tue Jan 18 201122:41Mo Evans gets heavy minutes vs. Heat
Maurice Evans played 32 minutes with Marvin Williams (back) out and Al Horford (ankle) leaving during the middle of Tuesday's game against the Heat, and scored 11 points on 4-of-9 shooting (including a three) with five rebounds, one assist, and one steal.
Should Horford miss anymore time and Williams stay out, then Evans could be worth a look in deeper leagues, though with the Heat going small he may have gotten a few extra minutes tonight. Something in the 20-30 minute range is likely in order for Friday's game against the Hornets.
Sat Jan 8 201121:44Maurice Evans invisible despite starting
Starting at SF for the Hawks on Saturday, Maurice Evans was scoreless with five rebounds in 28 minutes.
Atlanta faces Andrew Bogut and the Bucks on Tuesday, and they will likely shift back to their super-sized starting lineup (featuring Jason Collins at center). Marvin Williams is also slated to return for that game, making Evans a marginal option at best.
Sat Jan 8 201113:55Evans to start at SF for Hawks on Saturday
Maurice Evans will start at small forward for Atlanta on Saturday.
The Hawks are facing a Pacers squad that likes to go small, and it sounds like they'll counter by moving Al Horford back to center and Jason Collins back to the bench.
