Wed Mar 9 201102:58Miller plays 24 minutes with Scola (knee) out
Brad Miller saw extra playing time with Luis Scola (knee) out, scoring five points on 1-of-4 shooting with nine rebounds, four assists, two steals, and one block in 24 minutes.
He has plenty of risk with a year's worth of inconsistency under his belt, but for however long Scola is out he's worth a look if you need a big man.

Thu Mar 3 201103:09Brad Miller plays well on Wednesday
Brad Miller had 11 points, six rebounds, a steal, a block and three 3-pointers in Wednesday's loss to the Clippers.
We're not sure where this came from, but Miller is healthy again and his minutes are creeping up. We need to see him do this a couple more times before recommending he be picked up, so just put him on your radar. Chuck Hayes, who had two points and 12 rebounds on 1-of-5 shooting, is still the clear starter until further notice.

Wed Feb 23 201100:22Brad Miller sighting in Tuesday's game
Brad Miller played 20 minutes in Tuesday's game, scoring nine points on 2-of-3 shooting (including a three) with six rebounds and two assists.
This is the most he has played since returning from his knee injury, and could be a sign that Chuck Hayes' run is over. As for Miller, he has a lot to prove in terms of durability and playing time before he should be on standard league owners' radars.
Wed Feb 9 201103:15Miller plays just seven minutes vs. Wolves
Brad Miller played just seven minutes on Tuesday, finishing with three points and one rebound.
Chuck Hayes' owners can take comfort in knowing that Rick Adelman isn't exactly throwing Miller into the fire. We're comfortable with assuming that the current arrangement will continue, and we'll let you know if anything changes with it.
Tue Feb 8 201102:17Miller plays just nine minutes on Monday
Brad Miller played just nine minutes in his second game back from a knee injury, scoring three points on 1-of-2 shooting with three rebounds and one assist.
This could end up being a familiar sight if Rick Adelman thinks he can't afford to part with Chuck Hayes' defense. Either way, Miller has a long way to go before he should be considered for fantasy ownership, with his health a huge question mark.
Sun Feb 6 201102:56Miller (knee) returns to action on Saturday
Brad Miller (knee) returned to action on Saturday, playing 11 minutes on his way to two points on 1-of-2 shooting with two rebounds, one assist, and one block.
The owners of Chuck Hayes, who scored 15 points with seven boards and a full stat line, shouldn't be overly worried just yet, though selling him before Miller gets notice is also an option. As for Miller, he has a lot to prove health-wise before we pen him in for anything but a limited role.
Thu Feb 3 201110:01Miller remains day-to-day
Brad Miller (knee) remains day-to-day and said he is close to establishing a target date for his return.
Miller has missed 14 straight games with his always troublesome knee woes. In the meantime, Chuck Hayes has played 35 minutes or more in six of the last 12 games.

Wed Jan 26 201111:51Miller doubtful once again
Brad Miller (knee) is doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Clippers.
There is no real timetable for Miller's return. "He's coming along slow," coach Rick Adelman said. "That's all they tell me - he's coming along slow, which is not a good thing." It's good news for Chuck Hayes.

Sun Jan 23 201111:08Brad Miller doubtful for Monday
Brad Miller (knee) is doubtful for Monday's game against the Wolves.
Miller still has pain and fluid in his knee. At age 34 with chronic knee problems, Miller is always a poor bet to sustain health. Chuck Hayes and Jordan Hill will continue to eat up the center minutes.

Sat Jan 22 201120:09Miller (knee) out for Saturday's game vs. ORL
Brad Miller (knee) will not play in Saturday's game against the Magic.
He was slated to miss a week a bit over a week ago, and nobody was really expecting him to be back tonight. Chuck Hayes has become relevant during that stretch, and Jordan Hill has shown a few flashes, too. Neither are particularly good plays against Dwight Howard tonight.

Thu Jan 13 201109:44Brad Miller out a week
Brad Miller is going to rest his sore knee for a week.
At age 34, Miller's body can't handle the 36 minutes he played against Utah last Saturday. He hasn't played since that game and is now shut down. Jordan Hill has failed to capitalize on his opportunity, leaving no real fantasy ramifications here.

Mon Jan 10 201118:36Brad Miller out with sore knee
Brad Miller will miss Monday's game with a sore knee.
So much for the four-game week. If you still have time to get him out of your lineup, do it.

Fri Jan 7 201123:27Brad Miller stinks it up on Friday
Brad Miller played just 11 minutes for two points, one rebound and three assists on Firday.
It's easy to be mad at Miller or Rotoworld for his inconsistent play, but it's also easy for him to struggle if he's not getting minutes from his coach. He'll probably bounce back in his next one, but he's been pretty unreliable from a fantasy standpoint.
Tue Jan 4 201101:49Miller posts first double-double with Rockets
Brad Miller posted his first double-double with the Rockets on Monday, scoring 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting (including two threes) with a season-high 11 rebounds, five assists, one steal, and two blocks in 30 minutes off the bench.
Off the bench or not, he has proven that inconsistency is the only thing that owners can count on, but after this line he should probably be picked up in most leagues. Some of his inconsistency has come due to the Rockets giving him prescribed rest, but without Chuck Hayes, they won't have that luxury.
Fri Dec 31 201022:11Brad Miller sparks Rockets off bench in win
Brad Miller had 11 points, seven rebounds, six assists, two steals and a 3-pointer off the bench in Houston's win over Toronto on Friday.
Jordan Hill started at center, but Miller was more effective off the bench. With Chuck Hayes possibly out for a month with an ankle injury, Miller will probably be worth grabbing if he ends up in the starting lineup over Hill.
Sun Dec 19 201020:54Brad Miller plays 14 minutes on Sunday
Brad Miller logged just 14 minutes off the bench on Sunday, scoring three points on 1-of-6 shooting.
The Rockets veteran obviously isn't going to be a reliable fantasy option, even with Yao Ming out of service. He's played 16 or fewer minutes in four straight games, and hasn't cracked double-digit points since back-to-back 20-point games in early December.
Wed Dec 15 201003:32Miller back to the bench on Tuesday
Brad Miller scored seven points on 2-of-4 shooting (all on threes) with two rebounds, four assists, and a steal in 15 minutes off the bench on Tuesday.
Owners will simply have to resign themselves to the fact that his production is going to be all over the place. Use his season averages of nine points, four rebounds, three assists, a three, and a handful of steals and blocks as your metric, and try not to ride the roller coaster.
Sun Dec 12 201002:08Miller performing again after slump
Brad Miller bounced back from a couple of bad outings on Saturday, scoring nine points on 4-of-5 shooting (including a three) with 10 rebounds, four assists, and two blocks in 31 minutes off the bench.
True to form, by the time owners got him out of lineups he found a way to put up a pretty decent line. While we're not recommending this (we think), owners may be better off doing the exact opposite of what makes sense when deploying him.
Sat Dec 11 201002:45Miller held to three points on Friday
Brad Miller scored just three points on Friday, hitting 1-of-3 shots from the field to go with six rebounds, four assists, and two steals in 20 minutes.
The line isn't the biggest disaster given the non-scoring categories he produced in, but he had no points on Tuesday and was probably started by many owners following two games of 20+ points. Get him reserved for now, and hopefully you can be on the right side of the action next time he goes off.
Wed Dec 8 201001:42Miller goes hitless from the field on Tuesday
Brad Miller went hitless from the field on Tuesday on six attempts, and finished with no points, three rebounds, and two assists in 13 minutes.
There's no word of an injury, and it looks like he just got pulled for ineffectiveness. This game isn't going to do anything to help his reputation for disappearing by the time he gets into owners' lineups.
