Henry has still not recovered from surgery on his right knee back in April and will not practice when the Lakers' training camp opens Tuesday, InsideSoCal.com reports.
Henry, once healthy, will compete for backup minutes at both shooting guard and small forward, with Nick Young, Wes Johnson, Wayne Ellington, and rokie Jordan Clarkson, but given that the most games he has played in his four year NBA career is 50 back in 2012-13, it is very difficult to rely on him to stay healthy. He remains a deep league only fantasy option, despite turning in the best year of his career last season.

Henry (knee) is rehabilitating through basketball activities but is yet to return to five-on-five action, Mike Trudell of Lakers.com reports.
Henry's recovery from offseason knee surgery is moving along relatively slowly, but the good news is his ailing wrist is now at 100 percent. The Kansas product may be limited in training camp, but he should be a full go when the regular season rolls around. Henry was effective when in the lineup last season, but he missed 39 games due to various injuries.
Wed Sep 10 201406:25Henry (knee
Henry (knee, wrist) may be limited in training camp as he recovers from offseason surgeries, InsideSoCal.com reports.
New coach Byron Scott said that he "hasn't seen him do much on the court" and the Lakers' confirmed that Henry had yet to fully heal from his offseason surgeries to his knee and wrist. He is still expected to be healthy when the 2014-15 season begins, but the lack of preparation may impact how many minutes he plays, especially initially. Henry missed 39 games last season, averaging 10.0 points, 0.7 three-pointers, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.0 steals in 21 minutes per game. He'll likely play behind Kobe Bryant, Nick Young, and Wesley Johnson on the wing this season.
Fri Jul 25 201419:04Xavier Henry signs with the Lakers
The Lakers sign G/F Xavier Henry on Friday.
The Lakers know everything about Henry's knee situation and at the reported one-year and $1 million they were talking about there's not a whole lot to nitpick here for either side. Injury concerns and fantasy deficiencies should keep Henry on the periphery of most drafts unless there is a major shake-up in La-La Land.

Fri Jul 18 201414:12Report: LAL and Xavier Henry finalizing deal
The Lakers and Xavier Henry are reportedly nearing an agreement on a one-year contract worth $1 million.
Henry averaged 10.0 points and 2.7 rebounds with the Lakers last year, but the fact that he's never made it through more than 50 games in an NBA season makes him a non-factor with regards to fantasy.

Sat Jun 21 201410:06Xavier Henry expects to be healthy in 6 weeks
Xavier Henry said he expects to be healthy in 5-6 weeks and wants to re-sign with the Lakers.
He's really had a tough time staying healthy and the Lakers probably don't see him as a top priority. Henry shot just 41.7 percent from the field last year and didn't really help himself with the increased playing time. He's unlikely to be in an NBA team's rotation next season.

Fri Jun 20 201418:14Xavier Henry will be 100 percent in 5-6 weeks
Xavier Henry believes that he will be fully healthy in 5-6 weeks.
Henry definitely warrants the "injury prone" label, as he's never made it through more than 50 games in a season. There's plenty of time for Henry to recover between now and the start of training camp, but you just never know when that next injury will arise. The fact that Henry will be playing alongside Kobe Bryant, a man that will demand a healthy heaping of minutes and touches, partnered with Henry's inability to stay healthy, makes him a non-factor when discussing the fantasy landscape.

Fri Apr 11 201414:45Xavier Henry has surgery on Friday
Xavier Henry (wrist, knee) had successful surgery on his left wrist and right knee on Friday.
He is expected to make a full recovery and the rest will definitely help Henry's knee. While the ligament issue in his wrist isn't exactly minor, his knee injury has been the main reason why he's missed 39 games. He's not going to be on the fantasy radar with the Lakers hopefully having better health as a team next year.

Mon Apr 7 201417:04Xavier Henry will have surgery Friday
Xavier Henry (knee, wrist) will have surgery on a torn ligament in his left wrist and arthroscopic surgery on his right knee on Friday,
His knee injury has been an issue since back in December and that's likely what has ended his season. Henry hasn't been able to stay healthy since dating back to his Kansas days, so he might have tough time getting his career back on track.

Fri Apr 4 201409:24Xavier Henry not expected to play again
Xavier Henry (knee, wrist) is not expected to play again this season.
Henry has missed three of the last four games as he's continued to battle nagging injuries. It should lock in a wing rotation of Jodie Meeks/Kent Bazemore starting and Wes Johnson/Nick Young off the bench. Henry averaged 10.0 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists while playing 21.1 minutes in 43 games this season.

Wed Apr 2 201421:54Xavier Henry out on Wednesday night
Xavier Henry (knee) will not play against the Kings on Wednesday night.
He just can't seem to stay healthy and he looked terrible on Tuesday, so the Lakers will just keep him out tonight. Henry has no fantasy value right now.

Wed Apr 2 201401:27Xavier Henry doesn't score in return
Xavier Henry missed all four of his shots from the field against the Blazers on Tuesday night.
The only other stat he posted was a foul in his 13 minutes. His knee pain has been a major issue for Henry since December and the Lakers probably won't be letting him loose because of it. Henry's upside isn't high enough to bet on him to begin with, so he can be left alone in almost all leagues.

Tue Apr 1 201414:18Xavier Henry (knee) probable to play Tuesday
Xavier Henry (knee) is considered probable for Tuesday's game vs. Portland.
Henry missed the past two games with ongoing soreness in his knee. He's also playing through a ruptured ligament in his left wrist which will require surgery this offseason, and it's a testament to his mettle that he's trying to play 20-25 minutes off the bench with just a few weeks left in the season. Henry, like most of the Lakers' players, will be an unrestricted FA this summer.

Sun Mar 30 201414:04Xavier Henry (knee) out vs. Suns on Sunday
Xavier Henry (knee) will not play in Sunday's game vs. the Suns.
Henry has really caught the injury bug this season, and will miss yet another game on Sunday. His minutes will fall to Wes Johnson, Kent Bazemore, and Nick Young. Bazemore started in the last game and put up 21 points, four rebounds, four assists, three steals, and one 3-pointer, so if he gets the start he could have another nice game vs. Phoenix.

Fri Mar 28 201419:30Xavier Henry won't play on Friday night
Xavier Henry (knee) will not play against the Wolves on Friday night.
His knee injuries have been a major issue in his career and he could be looking at a multiple-game absence. Henry also has a wrist injury and his upside isn't great enough to keep him stashed in most formats.

Fri Mar 28 201418:46Xavier Henry (knee) questionable to play
Xavier Henry (knee) is questionable to play against the Wolves on Friday.
Presumably, this is to the same knee that kept him out for over two months on an injury which occurred in December. Henry had his prognosis pushed back a handful of times for what was originally supposed to keep him out for 10 days. If he sits, Kent Bazemore and Wes Johnson would get some more burn.

Thu Mar 27 201423:01Xavier Henry doesn't have great Thursday
Xavier Henry cooled off during Thursday's 108-105 loss to the Bucks with seven points, one assist and one turnover on 2-of-8 from the field.
His wrist injury did not affect his shooting on Tuesday with an 8-of-11 shooting line, but he had worse luck tonight. Henry is going to need offseason surgery on his wrist and it might be an issue, but players have gone through this problem before and it hasn't necessarily caused any negative impact. He's not usually a guy who translates to fantasy value well, so there's no reason to pick him up after this one and he's not a must-own player for those who already added him.

Wed Mar 26 201401:28Xavier Henry scores 22 points vs. Knicks
Xavier Henry was outstanding against the Knicks during a 127-96 win, making 8-of-11 from the field for 22 points with three rebounds, two steals, one block and three 3-pointers.
He's going to need offseason surgery on his wrist and it didn't slow him down tonight. Coach Mike D'Antoni seems to have an affinity to playing Henry and has used him extensively as the ball handler. He's had some issue in field goal and free throw shooting, so fantasy owners should not be cutting someone who they've been counting on to pick him up.

Tue Mar 25 201415:07Xavier Henry (wrist) will return Tuesday
Xavier Henry (wrist) will play vs. the Knicks on Tuesday.
Henry is playing through a ruptured ligament in his left wrist and he'll need surgery after the season. Add that fact to Henry's poor shooting percentages and the Lakers' log-jam of players at SG and SF, and there's no reason to pick him up in typical 12-team leagues.

Mon Mar 24 201414:59Xavier Henry (wrist) will need summer surgery
Xavier Henry's wrist injury will require postseason surgery, but he'll play through it for the duration of the regular season.
Henry has a torn ligament in his wrist yet it sounds like he could return as soon as Tuesday vs. the Knicks. The Lakers have a plethora of swingmen vying for minutes, which takes the shine off Henry as a waiver wire pickup.
