Fri Feb 21 201419:03Elliot Williams officially starting
Elliot Williams is starting with Michael Carter-Williams, James Anderson, Thaddeus Young and Arnett Moultrie on Friday.
These were the probables and they held up for the short-handed Sixers. This lineup makes the most sense with the team needing Tony Wroten in the second unit and Hollis Thompson likely at less than 100 percent. Williams can be left on the wire in standards while Moultrie makes sense as a nice pickup.

Fri Feb 21 201417:48Elliot Williams will start for the Sixers
Elliot Williams is a probable starter for the Sixers on Friday.
His minutes have been creeping up lately due to the injury of Hollis Thompson. Williams has 1.2 triples per game over his last five, but it's still going to be tough to count on him in most leagues. He's only worth a look in deep leagues.

Sat Feb 1 201422:46Elliot Williams has 15, three 3-pointers
Elliot Williams came off the bench and had 15 points, two assists and three 3-pointers on 5-of-9 shooting Saturday.
With Michael Carter-Williams out with a shoulder injury, Williams took over back up point guard duties and performed well. However, once MCW is back, Williams will go back to obscurity.

Sat Feb 1 201400:18Williams posts 15 and four in blowout loss
Elliot Williams scored 15 points on 3-of-6 shooting (1-of-3 3PTs, 8-of-10 FTs) with four rebounds over 24 minutes in Friday's blowout loss.
Williams was always viewed as a higher upside guy but serious injury derailed his time in Portland and he has yet to show anything in Philly. If he can build off this performance we'll let you know.

Mon Jan 20 201419:51Elliot Williams plays a season-high 30 mins.
Elliot Williams played a season-high 30 minutes against the Wizards on Monday, missing all eight attempts from the field for four points, one board, one assist and one steal.
He stepped in to Tony Wroten's minutes for the most part, but obviously didn't capitalize today. Williams' minutes have increased in each of his last three games, but he's shot just 1-of-16 from the field in that span. He's not worth owning in most leagues.

Tue Jan 7 201422:58Elliot Williams scores 12 off Philly bench
Elliot Williams hit 4-of-8 shots and a 3-pointer for 12 points, four rebounds and an assist in 23 minutes off the Sixers bench on Tuesday.
Williams is getting more run with Tony Wroten out with the flu, but given that Wroten will be back sooner than later, there's not much to see here. Coach Brett Brown used his bench quite a bit tonight, as PF Brandon Davies had 11 points in 24 minutes, and James Anderson played 33 minutes and scored 15 off the pine.

Sun Jan 5 201416:38Elliot Williams sent down to the D-League
The Sixers assigned Elliot Williams to the D-League on Sunday.
He's played just 17 minutes combined in Philly's last three games. Tony Wroten has looked much better as a shooting guard, so the minutes just aren't there for the former Blazer.

Mon Dec 30 201300:30Elliot Williams fades into Philly's bench
Elliot Williams returned to the Sixers' bench with Evan Turner (knee) active on Sunday, and he finished with just five points and five personal fouls in 10 minutes.
It was fun while it lasted. Williams is averaging 3.3 points in 14 appearances this year, which says plenty about his lack of fantasy value.

Sun Dec 29 201301:55Elliot Williams scoreless in start for Turner
Elliot Williams started at shooting guard on Saturday but missed all five of his shots and failed to score, despite playing 27 minutes.
Tony Wroten came off the bench for 22 points, while James Anderson added six points in 23 minutes. Evan Turner sat this one out with a sore knee, but it sounds like he might play on Sunday. Williams has no fantasy value.

Sat Dec 28 201320:27Elliot Williams starting for Evan Turner
Elliot Williams will start for Evan Turner on Saturday night.
He's played just 10.8 minutes per game in 13 outings this year, so the Sixers are probably just keeping him in the starting lineup to not mess with their rotations. Turner is only day-to-day, so there really is no move to make for fantasy owners.

Sat Dec 7 201321:16Elliot Williams leaves game w/ bruised back
Elliot Williams will not return to Saturday's game due to a bruised lower back.
He took a hard, awkward fall and finished the game with six points and one rebound in eight minutes off the bench. The good news is that his injury shouldn't keep him out long, not that it matters for fantasy purposes.

Wed Nov 20 201318:10Sixers will have Elliot Williams for Wed.
The Sixers signed Elliot Williams and Lorenzo Brown for Wednesday's game against the Raptors.
It's great to hear that Williams is back with an NBA team. He tore his Achilles with the Blazers two summers ago and he's a fun player to watch. Obviously, he's not worth owning until he can show some productivity on the court.

Mon Sep 30 201301:32Elliot Williams to join CLE for training camp
Free agent G Elliot Williams will attend training camp with the Cavaliers.
Williams was drafted No. 22 overall by the Blazers in 2010, but he suffered a string of major injuries including a torn Achilles which sidelined him for the entire 2012-13 season. He'll be fighting for a roster spot and isn't a fantasy consideration.

Sat Jul 6 201315:57Elliot Williams is unlikely to return to POR
Elliot Williams (Achilles) is unlikely to return to the Blazers, according to Joe Freeman of the Oregonian.
Freeman is basing this conclusion on the conversations he's had with Blazers decision makers and it does make some sense. Williams tore his Achilles last summer, causing him to miss the entire season, and now he's an unrestricted free agent. The Blazers bringing on Dorell Wright didn't help his chances, either.

Thu Apr 18 201315:57Elliot Williams says Achilles tendon healed
Elliot Williams says his torn Achilles is healed, but he has to strengthen the muscles around it.
Williams is scheduled for free agency but said the Blazers told him they'd like to have him back next year. He'll likely play for Portland's summer league team while trying to earn a spot on the roster for next season. Once the No. 22 overall pick in 2010, Williams has been sidetracked by injury problems and will have to stay healthy before proving he has any sort of fantasy value.

Thu Mar 14 201308:31Elliot Williams to play in summer league
Elliot Williams will play in summer league to prove to interested teams that he's healthy.
Williams will be a free agent after the season and isn't expected back with the Blazers. "I just feel that I have to get out there and show the league that I'm fully recovered," he said. Williams was the No. 22 pick of the 2010 draft but has dealt with injury problems throughout his brief career.

Tue Feb 26 201317:41Elliot Williams cleared for running
Blazers SG Elliot Williams (Achilles) has been cleared to begin running.
Williams tore his left Achilles' tendon during a September workout. It's the kind of injury that can take a year of rehab before a player truly feels 100 percent. "It's been five and a half months and I'm feeling pretty good," Williams said. "I'm going to make a full recovery. I should. With my health and how young I am and how much hard work I put into it, I'm getting healthy."
