Sun Mar 11 201201:12Dominique Jones starts for weary Mavericks
Dominique Jones got a surprise start at SG for the Mavs on Saturday, and he responded with eight points, four rebounds, five assists and three turnovers in 26 minutes.
DoJo has been racking up handfuls of DNP-CDs this season, and he logged just 10 minutes on Friday, but the veteran Mavs needed him as they played their third game in three nights. He'll meld back into the bench on Tuesday, so don't give him too much thought.

Tue Feb 21 201202:00Jones posts low-end line in 25 minutes
Dominique Jones scored seven points off the bench on Monday, hitting 3-of-8 shots from the field with four rebounds and five assists in 25 minutes.
Jones and Brandan Wright (nine points, five boards, three blocks, 23 minutes) are worth a look in deeper leagues right now, though Jones will probably lose his minutes when Roddy Beaubois (personal) returns after the All Star break.

Sat Feb 18 201200:50Dominique Jones getting run for Mavericks
Dominique Jones hit 5-of-9 shots for 12 points and five turnovers in Friday's win.
He is going to get some run with Delonte West (finger), Roddy Beaubois and Jason Terry (personal) all out for the Mavs. Vince Carter started and had 10 points, six boards, four assists, a steal and a block, but DoJo should see decent minutes until the All-Star break, making him worth a deep-league look.

Fri Feb 17 201207:25Dominique Jones to see increased opportunity
Rick Carlisle said that Dominique Jones will get an opportunity to play going forward.
"Dominique is going to have to play," he said. "This is an opportunity for him. We need him." Jones played 31 minutes in his last game, and despite not hitting a shot from the field (0-for-6), he managed four points, four rebounds and six assists.

Sun Jan 15 201216:34Mavs send Dominique Jones to D-League
Mavs send G Dominique Jones to D-League's Texas Legends.
He was averaging just 1.8 points a game in Dallas and this will clear a few more minutes for Vince Carter, Delonte West and Jason Terry.

Wed Dec 21 201100:37DoJo back in action for Mavericks
Dominique Jones returned from a foot injury and started for the Mavericks in Tuesday's preseason game.
He played 27 minutes, but hit just 1-of-6 shots for seven points, four boards and four assists. He also had two steals and five turnovers. He's always worth keeping an eye on, but don't draft him.

Thu Jun 30 201118:13Mavs make qualifying offer to DoJo
The Mavericks made a qualifying offer to G Dominique Jones, making him a restricted free agent.
DoJo saw his season end with a stress fracture in his foot last season, but should be healthy coming into the new one. However, as of now, he doesn't deserve a look in most fantasy leagues, especially with the Mavs so deep at guard.

Tue Jun 28 201120:20Mavs pick up third year option on Jones
The Mavs picked up the third-year option on second-year guard Dominique Jones.
A stress fracture ended his season in February, and prior to that he had made enough noise that fantasy owners shouldn't forget his name, especially since the Mavs aren't exactly stacked at the wing positions. That said, he needs to show us more before we'll tab him for much fantasy value.

Fri Feb 11 201111:17Dominique Jones out 10 weeks after surgery
Dominique Jones will have surgery to repair the stress fracture in his right foot and is expected to miss 10 weeks.
Jones hasn't been in the Mavs' rotation recently and his presence won't be missed in fantasy leagues. This is still an unfortunate setback for the young swingman, who could at least have been developing his skills.

Tue Feb 8 201117:07Dominique Jones out with stress fracture
Mavs rookie Dominique Jones is out indefinitely with a stress fracture in his foot.
Just as the Mavs are getting Roddy Beaubois back, Jones goes down. They'll certainly take that trade. Jones had appeared in just one of the last 11 games. Depending on the severity of the fracture, Jones' season could be done.

Wed Jan 5 201103:15DoJo slows down after fast start in return
Dominique Jones slowed down after making some noise in his return from the D-League, playing just 11 minutes without scoring on two shot attempts to go with three rebounds.
This isn't a great sign for those owners in deeper leagues hoping he could make his mark at the SG/SF position. It's still too early to tell how he will be used post-Caron, however, so don't rule him out of a role just yet.
Sun Jan 2 201121:47Dominique Jones plays 21 minutes for Dallas
Mavericks rookie Dominique Jones came off the bench for nine points, five rebounds, three assists, one steal, and two blocks on Sunday.
Jones was called up from the D-League after Caron Butler injured himself, and figures to play a sizable role going forward. Keep a close eye on him -- he should be available in all leagues considering he was averaging just six minutes in nine NBA appearances.
Sun Jan 2 201112:07DoJo to re-join Mavs due to Butler's injury
Several media members are reporting the Mavericks are flying Dominique Jones in from the D-League for Sunday's game against the Cavaliers.
This is due to a potentially serious knee injury to Caron Butler, who could be done for the season. J.J. Barea and Shawn Marion are hot pickiups right now with Butler's season in doubt, while DoJo could be worth grabbing in extremely deep leagues (16-20 teams).
Tue Nov 30 201000:37DoJo gets sent down to D-League
Rookie Dominique Jones was sent to the Texas Legends of the D-League on Monday.
It's a good move to get him some much-needed playing time with the Mavs set at SG this season. He had a great preseason and should be on owners' radars heading into next year.

Thu Oct 21 201001:47DoJo starts at SG with Kidd (rest) out
Dominique Jones got another start at SG on Wednesday, scoring 14 points on 5-of-11 shooting (including a three) with one rebound, one assist, and one steal in 32 minutes of action.
He has started at SG more than anybody this preseason and looks like the favorite to win the job, but keep in mind that tonight's minutes were augmented by the fact that Jason Kidd and Shawn Marion were rested. He may be worth a pick in many formats as a starting SG, but when Roddy Buckets returns, his minutes will get squeezed.
Sat Oct 16 201001:30DoJo still getting it done for Dallas
Rookie Dominique Jones hit 5-of-11 shots and 9-of-15 free throws off the bench on his way to 19 points, five boards, two assists and a steal in Friday's OT win over the Bulls.
He's likely to come off the bench, but has played well enough this preseason to get a look in fantasy leagues. We probably wouldn't recommend drafting him, but he could become a hot pickup if he gets between 20-30 minutes per game, which looks pretty reasonable at this point. It's also possible he could start at shooting guard, which might make him worth a last-round flier in many leagues.
Wed Oct 13 201023:08DoJo still playing well for Mavericks
Rookie Dominique Jones, who has a shot at winning the starting shooting guard job for Dallas, had 15 points, seven assists and a steal on 5-of-9 shooting Wednesday.
He's been playing very well and is getting consideration for the job, although it's tough to imagine Rick Carlisle starting a rookie when he has so many options at the position.
Tue Oct 12 201000:42DoJo starts at SG against the Cavs
Rookie Dominique Jones started at shooting guard against the Cavs on Monday, scoring five points on 2-of-9 shooting with four rebounds and four assists in 19 minutes.
Even with Rodrigue Beaubois having a small setback with his foot, the presence of Jason Terry, Caron Butler, and J.J. Barea will keep Jones from having an impact in fantasy leagues this year. His defense and all-around game are impressive so far, so those in dynasty leagues will want to take notice.
Tue Oct 5 201011:42Jones impressing Mavericks
Rookie SG Dominique Jones continues to impress the Mavs' coaches with his defense.
Jones did have an opening when Caron Butler and Roddy Beaubois were sidelined by injuries, but both of those players should be fine for the opener. No matter what coach Rick Carlisle says about defense, Jason Terry is going to be the first guard off the bench. That will leave a meager role for Jones, the No. 25 overall pick in the draft.
