Sam Young played 35 minutes off the bench on Monday, scoring nine points on 4-of-10 shooting (1-of-6 3PTs) with eight rebounds and one assist.
Young is playing with a lot of confidence right now and has posted three straight deep league specials, but it's anybody's guess if he can keep that up.

Young had a lot go right for him tonight and so did the Pacers, but we still need to see him do this again before we pay him any attention.

Sam Young picked up a DNP-CD during the Pacers' narrow win over the Wizards on Saturday.
Young served briefly as a starter for Indiana, but he was never a fantasy option and this might be the last time we blurb him all season.

Mon Nov 5 201219:08Young to start; Green to come off bench
Sam Young will start in Monday's game against the Spurs, with Gerald Green coming off the bench.
This might appear to be a demotion on its face, but we're guessing that Green sees more or less the same minutes. As for Young, he has no fantasy value.

Sam Young (shoulder) played 12 minutes off the bench vs. Sacramento, scoring two points with one rebound and four turnovers.
Young's shoulder injury obviously isn't serious, but even with Danny Granger injured he's not a viable fantasy player.

Fri Nov 2 201219:28Sam Young leaves game with shoulder injury

Young is a role player and has no fantasy value, nor would any absence impact the playing time of other fantasy assets appreciably.

Sam Young is practicing with the starting unit while Danny Granger (knee) remains limited in practice.
Young is expected to compete for a roster spot as he's on a training camp deal, but it would be a surprise if he didn't make the team. Beat writer Mike Wells had previously indicated that Pacers coaches like Young's ability on the defensive end.

Thu Sep 27 201209:51Young, Gaines, Ahearn competing for two spots
Sam Young, Sundiata Gaines and Blake Ahearn are competing for the two final roster spots in Pacers camp.
Interestingly, Young apparently had a screw "pierced in his arm" while working out for the Raptors before signing with the Pacers. Of the three, Young is the most likely to make the roster, while Gaines and Ahearn duke it out for third-string PG duties.

Thu Sep 6 201218:20Indiana Pacers officially sign F Sam Young
Pacers officially sign F Sam Young.
Young does have some good run under his belt and he even cracked the 20 minutes-per-game mark in the 2010-2011 season with the Grizzlies. His playing time was cut almost in half last season and he looked like he lost a step in his campaign. He'll need a lot to happen to gain fantasy value.

The Nets could target Sam Young if Donte Greene (ankle) is sidelined for an extended period of time.
After Greene fractured his ankle working out, the Nets are making contingency plans for depth at small forward behind Gerald Wallace. If signed, Young would offer nothing for fantasy owners.

Fri Mar 16 201207:44Sam Young to be used as defensive stopper
Sam Young will likely be used as a defensive stopper in the second unit.
Young asked to be traded because he wasn't playing in Memphis, but consistent playing time won't be promised to him in Philadelphia, either. Even if he does garner a stable role in the second unit, Young isn't a fantasy option in standard sized leagues.

The Philadelphia 76ers have acquired G/F Sam Young from the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for a draft pick.
The Grizzlies were shopping the swingman and the Sixers were looking to add depth on the wing, so this deal makes sense for both sides. Young is a solid defender and should be a solid addition for the Sixers going forward. The first domino of deadline day has fallen.
