Smith has played well in his bench role during the postseason, averaging 14.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 1.0 blocks per game. He's been a strong factor for the Rockets of late, and he's certainly helping them at the right time, now taking a 3-0 series lead against the Mavericks.

Smith tied a career-high for assists in a playoff game Tuesday with nine dimes. He also had 15 points and eight rebounds to go with a block and steal over 26 minutes off the bench.

Smith exploded in the second half, scoring 13 of his 15 points in crunch time. He also dished out seven of his nine assists in the fourth quarter, demonstrating great chemistry with his old AAU teammate Dwight Howard on several alley oops. Smith's big outing should allow him to keep a major role off the bench Houston.

Smith recorded a double-double in 31 minutes Monday against the Hornets as he scored 16 points (5-13 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 5-6 FT) to go along with 11 rebounds, two assists, one steal and two blocks.

Smith's performance Monday sums up his fantasy abilities quite nicely as he was able to put up a nice variety of counting stats, but struggled from the field and took too many three-pointers. He has the ability to be a productive fantasy option, but owners will have to live with poor percentages.

Smith had his third straight poor shooting night Tuesday. He played 32 minutes off the bench and did finish with 15 points but was just 4-for-11 from the floor. He completed a double-double Tuesday with 12 rebounds to go along with two blocked shots and two steals.

Smith actually had one of his better statistical games as a Rocket, but his shooting continues to be an issue. He's made a combined eight field goals in his past three games and is 2-for-10 from beyond the arc in that stretch.

Smith (ankle) grazed a triple-double Friday against the Timberwolves, posting 16 points, nine rebounds, 11 assists, and three blocks in 40 minutes of action.

Smith was dealing with a sore ankle but ultimately was able to go. He's been massively inconsistent as a member of the Rockets, but his contribution in multiple counting categories (as evident with his Friday play) makes him a fantasy asset.

Smith (ankle) will play and start in Friday's game against the Timberwolves.

Smith will receive the start in the place of Donatas Motiejunas (back), who will miss contest. With Motiejunas and Terrence Jones both still out, he could be in line for a large chunk of minutes Friday.

The minutes may go down with Dwight Howard (knee) possibly returning, but Smith still figures to be a key part of the rotation and should be fine to play.

Smith has been dialed in from behind the arc of late as he is 9-for-14 from distance over his last four games. While he should continue to see an increased offensive role with Terrence Jones (ribs) out, don't expect him to be this proficient from three-point range for much longer.

Nice production for playing just 21 minutes. Over his last five games he's averaging 11.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.8 blocks and 0.6 steals in 27 minutes per contest. He's likely to continue his role unless their is an injury that leads to more playing time.

Smith had 20 points, six rebounds, and three assists in 32 minutes off the bench Tuesday against the Suns.

Smith has now scored in double figures in each of his last three games and seven of his last ten overall. He continues to see ample time off the bench, averaging 27.1 minutes in his last ten games. That number would be higher had he not been ejected after 14 minutes against Golden State. He also continues to be a solid source for rebounding and assists, averaging 9.3 boards and 5.3 dimes in four games this month.

Smith scored 5 points (2-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt) with two rebounds, two assists and one block in 13 minutes before being ejected after picking up two technical fouls in the Rockets loss to the Warriors.

Smith is averaging 10.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.8 blocks and one steal since joining the Rockets. However, his continued inefficiency, 41.6 percent from the field and 43.8 percent from the free throw line makes him barely own able in standard leagues.

Smith scored 21 points (10-20 FG, 1-5 3pt) to go along with six rebounds, two assists and three steals in 26 minutes Monday against the Bulls.

Smith was productive in limited minutes Monday off the bench again for the Rockets. He struggled as a member of the starting lineup, so the Rockets might continue to just bring him off the bench if he can produce in that role on a consistent basis.

Smith came off the bench Saturday in the win over Miami and provided 12 points (6-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 0-2 FT) and six rebounds in 22 minutes.

Since scoring 21 points in his Rocket debut, Smith has fallen off to 6.6 points in his last five games. He has made just 1-of-7 on 3-pointers in that span. Until he earns more minutes, he is a borderline fantasy play.

It didn't seem like things could get much worse for Smith after he left Detroit, but he's shooting just 34.6 percent from the field (18-for-52) in five games with Houston. Donatas Motiejunas will get the nod at power forward against Miami and presumably remain in the starting lineup for the time being.

Smith disappointed in his first start with the Rockets in Sunday's game against the Spurs, posting just five points (2-7 FG, 1-2 FT, 0-1 3Pt), eight rebounds, one assist, three steals, four turnovers, and five fouls in 26 minutes of action.

Smith was plagued with fouls, and it's clear he'll have some adjusting to do before he's back to form. In two games with his new team, Smith is averaging 13.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.5 steals, and 0.0 blocks per game. It's likely that his blocks will get an uptick back to his season average of 1.6 per game, but it's extremely likely that he won't live up to the 4.5 assists he had been averaging with the Pistons. With James Harden taking over much of the facilitating duties, Smith will be reduced to a mid-to-late-round value from a fantasy standpoint.
