Tue Jan 22 201310:07Report: Grizz to sign West, Walker, Vujacic
The Grizzlies will sign free agents Delonte West, Bill Walker and Sasha Vujacic to free-agent contracts.
The Grizzlies just sent out three bench players in a trade with Cleveland on Tuesday morning, so this isn't a huge surprise. What is surprising is the choice of players coming in. West famously ended his tenure in Dallas on a rocky note, while Walker hasn't played in the league all season and Vujacic has been playing abroad.

Fri Dec 14 201208:14Lakers unlikely to sign PG before December 15
The Lakers are unlikely to add a point guard to the roster until at least December 15.
Los Angeles wants to see what options could be on the open market, and even with Steve Nash (leg) on the mend, the Lakers may want to bring in someone who can play ahead of Chris Duhon and Darius Morris. Delonte West's name has been thrown around, with other guys like Eddie House and Jannero Pargo in the mix as well.

Wed Dec 12 201201:21Report: Lakers considering Delonte West
The Lakers are reportedly looking at the possibility of signing guard Delonte West, who was waived by the Mavericks just before the season.
The Lakers are desperate for point guard help until Steve Nash and Steve Blake are healthy, and if they don't sign West, you have to think a guy like Jonny Flynn (or someone else) might be a possibility. They're 9-13 and although it's early, are already in danger of missing the playoffs.

Mon Oct 29 201216:29Delonte West officially waived by Mavericks
The Mavericks have officially waived Delonte West, trimming their roster to 15 players.
West's history of behavioral issues caught up with him again in Dallas, and this is a disappointing end to what could have been a mutually-beneficial fit with the Mavericks. It remains to be seen whether any team is willing to gamble on him this season.

Mon Oct 29 201209:31Report: Delonte West will not return to Mavs
Delonte West will not return to the Mavericks, according to the Dallas Morning News.
Reports had indicated that Mark Cuban was going to decide West's ultimate fate after it had appeared a decision was made, but Dallas basketball executives have reportedly convinced Cuban that it's not worth trying to rekindle a damaged relationship. A move is expected to be made on Monday.

Fri Oct 26 201220:06Delonte West still a Maverick
Delonte West has not been released by the Mavericks and there is a chance he could return to the team.
Mark Cuban will decide West's fate and says no decision has been made, and even left the door open for West to return. With the uncertainty surrounding West, Roddy Beaubois looks like a better fantasy option in deep leagues.

Fri Oct 26 201208:10Source: Delonte West won't return to Mavs
Delonte West will not return to the Mavericks, a source tells ESPN Dallas.
We heard on Thursday that the Mavs put in a successful waiver claim for Eddy Curry, and the Mavs will either waive or trade West as soon as possible. The club is "in the process of negotiating terms of West's departure" with his agent, and the source told ESPN Dallas that the suspensions "stemmed from frequent behavior missteps by West." Roddy Beaubois is locked in as Darren Collison's backup.

Thu Oct 25 201212:15Delonte West suspended again by Mavericks
Delonte West has been suspended (again) indefinitely for "conduct detrimental to the team."
The suspension is effective immediately and the Mavs will have no further comment at this time. It's the second time this preseason West has been suspended, and we have a feeling that this one could last longer than just one game. We'll have more details when they become available. With West out, guys like Roddy Beaubois, Dahntay Jones and Vince Carter could all see a bump in minutes.

Wed Oct 17 201204:04Delonte West's suspension lifted
Delonte West's suspension lasted just one night and he's expected to be in uniform for Wednesday's preseason game against the Suns.
West threw a tantrum after Monday's game, but has made amends and is set to return to action. "He's a great dude," guard O.J. Mayo said. "You hear stories about all of us...Perception and reputation is everything, but D-West is great in the locker room. He's helped me a lot this season." West won't have fantasy value unless some of his teammates get hurt, but it's nice to know that he's back in good graces with the Mavs.

Tue Oct 16 201207:51West's suspension for locker room outburst
Updating a previous item, Delonte West's suspension was in relation to an "ugly outburst" in the locker room following Monday's preseason game.
There appears to be more to this story, and while details should surface as to what exactly happened, it's clear that West did himself no favors after Monday's game. West went on a Twitter rant after the game to apologize, but has since deleted those tweets.

Mon Oct 15 201223:49Delonte suspended for 'detrimental conduct'
Delonte West was suspended for conduct detrimental to the team on Monday.
We don't know the details and we'll pass them along when we do. Depending on the severity of the incident, the outlook for backup guard Roddy Beaubois could get a little bit better.

Thu Jul 26 201217:37Mavericks officially sign Delonte West
Mavericks officially sign G Delonte West.
West will return to the Mavericks where he averaged 10 points and three assists in 44 games last season. West is clearly an asset when healthy, and should effectively back up both guard spots again in Dallas.

Tue Jul 24 201219:52Delonte West commits to signing w/ Mavs
Delonte West has committed to signing with the Mavericks, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.
The deal is expected to become official on Wednesday, consummating West's long-stated desire to remain with the Mavs. He'll provide defensive energy and competent offense at both PG and SG for Dallas, cutting into the playing time of guys like Roddy Beaubois and Vince Carter, and we don't anticipate him being fantasy-relevant this season.

Tue Jul 24 201209:23Mavericks reiterate want for Delonte West
The Mavericks reiterated their desire to re-sign unrestricted FA Delonte West.
"We've got a little work to do yet, hopefully Delonte will slide into one of those spots," said GM Donnie Nelson. That's not exactly a ringing endorsement of West or a dire plea to have him back, and perhaps that's why West is taking time to make his decision. West was previously rumored to be drawing some interest from the Bulls, but that seems to have fallen by the wayside now that the team has added Kirk Hinrich and Marco Belinelli. Nelson said that the team remains "in negotiations" with West, but "he's got options and he's got to sort through those."

Thu Jul 19 201208:42Report: Bulls interested in Delonte West
Delonte West, Randy Foye, Willie Green and Marco Belinelli are possible additions for the Bulls, a source tells CSN Chicago.
All four players are unrestricted free agents. We've heard that Belinelli is on the Bulls' radar, but the other three are all new names. Chicago is known to be in the market for another wing, and these guys would represent potential bargains if the team can't land someone like Courtney Lee.

Wed Jul 18 201206:19Mavericks still interested in Delonte West
The Mavericks remain interested in re-signing Delonte West.
"We are still interested in bringing him back," said Donnie Nelson. However, Nelson said West has "other options on the table," so it's no certainty that he'll be back in Dallas. West had stated previously that he had been hoping to land a multi-year contract.

Tue Jul 3 201222:26Terry/Williams moves could keep West in DAL
Delonte West has a better chance of being re-signed by the Mavs now that Deron Williams and Jason Terry are not going to be in Dallas next season.
West is looking for a multi-year deal after playing on one-year contracts for two seasons according to ESPN Dallas. Marc Stein added that Dallas wants him back, and it's starting to look like that's what will happen.

Mon Jul 2 201209:50Delonte West would like multi-year deal
Unrestricted free agent Delonte West is hoping for a multi-year deal.
West has stated his desire to return to the Mavericks, but that's really only a feasible scenario if Deron Williams remains with the Nets. "I would like to see a team offer me something based off my skill set, not off of something that happened three, four years ago," West said when referring to his arrest. "That's what I'm hoping for, a team that looks at the skill, what I bring to a team." West could wind up being a bargain for a team willing to gamble on him.

Mon Jun 11 201215:10Mavericks may not pay to retain Delonte West?
The Mavericks may not be willing to pay FA Delonte West more than the veteran's minimum, speculates beat writer Tim MacMahon.
Mark Cuban and the Dallas front office seem fond of West, but their desire to ink another superstar will take precendence over other considerations. "The Mavs aren't in the mode of paying significant prices for role players," writes MacMahon. "They can't afford to in order to accomplish their goal of acquiring a player who is good enough to make Dirk Nowitzki a co-star, whether that happens in July or over the next year."

Tue May 22 201210:22Delonte West wants to return to Mavericks
Unrestricted free agent Delonte West is hoping to re-sign with the Mavericks.
ESPN Dallas previously speculated that West wasn't expected back with the Mavs, but West would love to return to the team. "I've embraced the offense Rick (Carlisle) runs and how he likes to play," he said. West also said that he feels like he has a lot to offer and plans to work on his floater in the offseason. He's a very intriguing free agent and should be pursued by a number of playoff teams that don't have a ton of flexibility to be active in the market.
