Fri Oct 13 202323:29Jamal Cain Leads All Scorers In Loss To Spurs
Miami Heat forward Jamal Cain had a double-double in Friday's preseason loss to the San Antonio Spurs. Cain recorded a game-high 24 points, going 9-for-14 from the field and an efficient 6-for-8 from deep, adding 10 rebounds and an assist. The 24-year-old spent most of the 2022-23 campaign in the G League, but appeared in 18 games for the big club, although he averaged only 5.4 points. However, with Gabe Vincent and Max Strus no longer on the roster, there are minutes available. If Cain continues to play this well throughout the rest of the preseason, he could see the floor more often. But for now, he doesn't offer much to fantasy managers in any setup.

Sat Aug 12 202309:25Jamal Cain Accepts Heat's Qualifying Offer
Miami Heat forward Jamal Cain will return to the team on a two-way deal after accepting his qualifying offer. The 24-year-old was reportedly seeking a standard contract in free agency but has now settled for the Heat's two-way deal. After going undrafted a year ago out of Oakland University, Cain featured in 18 games for Miami, registering 5.4 points and 2.9 rebounds. He was a 20-point scorer in the G League with 8.5 rebounds. The Heat has been a great developer of undrafted talent and Cain is among the next crop of players. However, he's still only a depth piece for the team and doesn't currently have any fantasy appeal.
