Tue Sep 28 202111:02Matt Olson Scores 100th Run Of Season In Loss Monday
Oakland Athletics first baseman Matt Olson went 2-for-4 with a run scored in a loss to the Mariners on Monday. The run was Olson's 100th run scored this season, easily a new career-best for the big first baseman. In addition to scoring all those runs, Olson has career-highs with 38 homers, 109 RBIs, and a .274 batting average. Oakland has stumbled to the finish line, but that's not on Olson who was one of the most valuable players in real and fantasy baseball all season long. He's a must-start option in all leagues during the last week of the season and will be an early-round pick heading into 2022 drafts.

Wed Sep 22 202109:16Matt Olson Launches 34th Homer In Loss On Tuesday
Oakland Athletics first baseman Matt Olson went 1-for-3 with a solo homer and a walk in a loss to the Mariners on Tuesday. The blast was Olson's 34th of the season to go with 104 RBI and 97 runs scored as Olson has been one of the most consistent fantasy assets this season. What's elevated Olson's game to the next level has been his batting average gains as his .274 BA represents a career-best for the 27-year-old. This can be chalked up to an excellent 16% strikeout rate which, you guessed it, is also a career-best. Keep Olson locked into fantasy lineups with two more games versus Seattle on tap.

Sun Sep 12 202110:27Matt Olson Homers In Loss To Rangers On Saturday
Oakland Athletics first baseman Matt Olson went 1-for-4 with his 33rd homer of the season on Saturday versus the Rangers. The A's continue to spiral downward in the standings, but Olson is doing his part as he remains near the league-lead in most power metrics. Olson's .913 OPS ranks 11th in baseball while his .381 wOBA and .380 xwOBA are both in the top-eighth percentile among qualified hitters. Keep Olson locked into starting lineups for one more with Texas before the A's head to their former home, Kansas City.

Wed Sep 8 202112:12Matt Olson Collects RBI In Loss To White Sox
Oakland Athletics first baseman Matt Olson went 0-for-4 with an RBI in a loss to the White Sox on Tuesday. Olson drove in a run early with a sac fly, but couldn't muster anything else versus a stingy Chicago bullpen. Olson has been quiet lately, but he still ranks in the top-eight percent in baseball with a .380 wOBA and a .382 xwOBA, so it's only a matter of time before the slugger heats back up. On the season Olson is slashing an impressive .273/.370/.541 with 32 homers and 90 RBI. He's a must-start first baseman in all fantasy formats.

He broke a 3-3 tie in the fifth inning with a two-run double and came around to score one batter later when Jed Lowrie also doubled. Olson ranks eighth in baseball with a .550 slugging percentage and fantasy managers should expect that type of power production down the stretch as he's making hard contact nearly 50% of the time with a healthy 13.2% barrel rate. He's a must-start first baseman regardless of matchup.

He's got 82 RBI to go with his impressive home run total and his .563 slugging percentage ranks sixth among all qualified hitters. He's hitting the ball as well as anyone in the Majors as his .537 xSLG, .392 wOBA, and .393 xwOBA on contact all rank in the 94th percentile or better among all hitters. Mon Aug 2 202111:00Matt Olson Blasts Three-Run Shot In Win Over Angels Sunday
Oakland Athletics first baseman Matt Olson went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer to help power the A's to a win in Anaheim on Sunday. New Athletics Starling Marte, Yan Gomes, and Josh Harrison all made their presence felt in the game, but it was old reliable Olson who put the A's on the board by launching a homer off of lefty Reid Detmers, Olson's 16th homer off of left-handed pitching this season. Olson has been incredible this season as he's got 28 homers supported by elite batted-ball metrics such as a 14.6% barrel rate and a .542 expected slugging percentage. Olson is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues with matchups against San Diego and Texas next up for the lefty slugger.
