Mon Sep 19 202219:28Trevor Rogers Shut Down For The Year
Miami Marlins left-hander Trevor Rogers (lat) said he has a Grade 1 lat strain that will end his 2022 season. Rogers injured his lat last Saturday in his start against the Washington Nationals, and it will end up being his last action of the season. The 24-year-old southpaw had a really disappointing season after posting a career-low 2.64 ERA and 1.15 WHIP in his All-Star campaign in 2021. In 23 starts in 2022, Rogers went 4-11 with a 5.47 ERA (4.35 WHIP), a 1.50 WHIP, 106 strikeouts and 45 walks in 107 innings pitched. He should have a relatively normal offseason to make some adjustments as he looks to bounce back in 2023.

Sat Sep 17 202218:31Trevor Rogers Lifted Early On Saturday
Miami Marlins starting pitcher Trevor Rogers (lat) was unable to get through Saturday's game against the Washington Nationals. The 24-year-old was lifted in the second inning due to left lat discomfort. The left-hander gave up three hits and two runs before exiting with the team trainers. It's uncertain if Rogers is going to be placed on the injured list, but he has been struggling anyway. Fantasy managers can go ahead and avoid Rogers in most fantasy formats.

Tue Sep 13 202214:51Trevor Rogers Has Strong Start Against Rangers
Miami Marlins starting pitcher Trevor Rogers turned in a solid outing on Monday against the Texas Rangers. The left-hander threw 6.1 innings and limited the Rangers to four hits, two runs, and a pair of walks. He also struck out nine batters in the outing while generating 18 swinging strikes on 89 pitches. What's more, Rogers finished the day with a strong 37% CSW rate. The 24-year-old has pitched to a 5.35 ERA this season, with a 4.24 FIP, 105 strikeouts, and 44 walks in 106 innings for the Marlins.

Wed Aug 31 202216:01Trevor Rogers Activated And Starting Wednesday
The Miami Marlins activated left-hander Trevor Rogers (back) from the 15-day injured list on Wednesday, and he's starting on the mound against the Tampa Bay Rays. Jake Fishman was designated for assignment in a corresponding move. We don't recommend Rogers for fantasy lineups on Wednesday in his first start in the majors in over a month. The 24-year-old southpaw didn't look good on his minor league rehab assignment, either, until his most recent outing for Triple-A Jacksonville when he struck out 12 in six innings. An All-Star in 2021, Rogers has been disappointing for his fantasy managers this year with a 4-10 record, 5.85 ERA (4.58 FIP), 1.59 WHIP, 83 strikeouts and 41 walks in 87 2/3 innings over 19 starts.

Mon Aug 29 202211:36Trevor Rogers Could Return Wednesday
Miami Marlins left-hander Trevor Rogers (back) is back with the team after he struck out 12 in six hitless and scoreless innings in his latest minor league rehab start last Thursday, and he threw a bullpen session on Sunday. Rogers said he's feeling the best he has, and his spot in the rotation would come up on Wednesday against the Tampa Bay Rays. The 24-year-old southpaw was placed on the 15-day injured list on July 29 with lower-back spasms, but he looked like his old self in his latest rehab start. Rogers was an All-Star for the first time in 2021, but he's disappointed this year with a 5.85 ERA (4.59 FIP), a 1.59 WHIP and an 83:41 K:BB in 87 2/3 innings over 19 starts. He'll be a shaky fantasy play on Wednesday against Tampa if he indeed gets the nod.

Fri Aug 26 202214:07Trevor Rogers Tosses Six Shutout Innings In Rehab Start
Miami Marlins left-hander Trevor Rogers (back) looked great in his minor league rehab start for Triple-A Jacksonville on Friday. He threw six shutout innings without allowing a hit while walking one and striking out 12. It was a nice bounce-back outing after he gave up five runs in just two innings in his first start for Jacksonville last week. The 24-year-old southpaw has had a rough season in the big leagues in 2022 with a 4-10 record, 5.85 ERA (4.58 FIP), a 1.59 WHIP and an 83:41 K:BB in 87 2/3 innings over 19 starts. Rogers made the All-Star team last year and had a pristine 2.64 ERA in 25 starts, so he's been a massive disappointment this season. He'll be hoping for a strong start to the season at least, but fantasy managers shouldn't get their hopes up.

Thu Aug 18 202221:38Trevor Rogers Set For Third Rehab Start This Weekend
Miami Marlins pitcher Trevor Rogers (back) will make a third rehab start this weekend at Triple-A Jacksonville. He allowed five earned runs on seven hits and zero walks while striking out six over 4 2/3 innings in his previous rehab start. Barring any setbacks, the 24-year-old could rejoin the Marlins rotation next week. He posted a 4-10 record with a 5.85 ERA, 1.60 WHIP, and 83:41 K: BB ratio across 87 innings in 2022. Rogers has struggled this season, but fantasy managers with an open IL spot should continue to stash the Marlins right-hander in all league formats after striking out 157 batters with a 2.64 ERA over 133 innings in 2021.

Fri Jul 29 202218:07Trevor Rogers Put On Injured List With Back Spasms
Miami Marlins left-handed pitcher Trevor Rogers (back) has been placed on the 15-day IL with lower back spasms, retroactive to July 26. This might be a good thing for Rogers, who has fallen on tough times this season and could use a break to reset and figure out what is going on. The injury could also explain, at least partially, why the lefty went from rookie of the year candidate to dumpster fire in just one season. Rogers sports an ugly 4-10 record, 5.85 ERA, 1.60 WHIP, and 83/41 K/BB ratio in 87 IP. At least now fantasy managers who were holding out hope can put Rogers on the IL.

Thu Jun 9 202222:16Trevor Rogers Pitches Marlins To Victory On Thursday
Miami Marlins left-hander Trevor Rogers bounced back after a few rough starts, striking out five in five innings of two-run baseball on Thursday. He walked one and gave up six hits on route to beat the Washington Nationals 7-4. Rogers now owns a 3-5 record, 5.58 ERA, 1.54 WHIP, and 44 strikeouts over 50 innings. After a fantastic rookie season, in which he posted a 2.64 ERA, he has become almost unrosterable. Fantasy managers can hang onto him in deeper leagues, but in shallower leagues, if there are better options on the waiver wire, they can let him go.

Sun May 15 202200:49Trevor Rogers Strikes Out Season-High Eight
Miami Marlins starting pitcher Trevor Rogers improved to 2-4 on the campaign Saturday night as his club defeated the Brewers 9-3. The left-hander struck out a season-high eight batters while allowing one run on five hits and no walks in the 103-pitch effort. His only blemish of the contest came against the second batter of the game as Willy Adames took him deep for just the third long ball he's allowed all season. It's been a slow start otherwise for the 24-year-old who owns a 4.45 ERA and 1.39 WHIP through seven starts, although he's now strung together back-to-back strong performances. Rogers will look to keep his momentum going in a home date with the Braves next weekend.

Sat Apr 16 202221:47Trevor Rogers Doesn't Make It Past The Second Inning Saturday
Miami Marlins starting pitcher Trevor Rogers was annihilated by the Philadelphia Phillies lineup during Saturday's 10-3 loss. He lasted just 1.2 innings after allowing seven runs on four hits, four walks, and three strikeouts. Rogers is now 0-2 to begin the 2022 season. This start doesn't reflect the talent of the left-hander, who posted a 2.64 ERA with a 28.5 K% and 1.15 WHIP across 25 starts last year. However, he declined from July onward with a 3.76 ERA and 25.7 K%. Still, Rogers was a hot commodity during fantasy drafts with an ADP of 93 and fantasy managers with shares of the 24-year-old shouldn't let one poor start bother them too much. Rogers will look to bounce back in his next start, expected to come during a weekend series against the Atlanta Braves.

Sun Apr 3 202212:49Trevor Rogers Spent The Offseason Refining His Pitches
Miami Marlins left-hander Trevor Rogers enjoyed a breakout season in 2021, posting a 2.64 ERA and 157 strikeouts in 133 innings of work. Rogers could be even better in 2022. He recently told reporters that he spent the offseason adding to his pitching arsenal and refining his current pitches. "Keep evolving, never get complacent," said Rogers. "Always try to improve. Just working with a few pitches. Just playing around with some stuff. Make sure my mechanics are where they need to be and kind of shorten some stuff up. Just make sure I'm good to go." The 24-year-old has made two starts this spring, posting a 4.26 ERA and seven strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings of work. Gamers can count on Rogers to lead their fantasy rotations in 2022 if they choose not to take one of the top-10 SPs in drafts.

Wed Sep 15 202118:15Trevor Rogers Lasts Only Four Innings On Wednesday
Miami Marlins rookie starting pitcher Trevor Rogers only made it through four innings in Wednesday's start against the Washington Nationals. The Marlins ended up winning the game late, leaving Rogers with a no decision. In his four innings, he was able to limit damage, allowing just one run on seven hits and a walk while striking out three. Rogers was inefficient, needing 84 pitches (59 strikes) to record his 12 outs of the night. He'll take a 2.71 ERA into his next start.

Fri Sep 3 202102:06Trevor Rogers To Start Friday's Game
Miami Marlins rookie starting pitcher Trevor Rogers (personal) will be activated from the restricted list to make a start in Friday's game. Rogers was dealing with personal issues and has not made a start since July 31st. He'll return to a 7-6 record and a 2.45 ERA and will try to make a strong finish to what has been an outstanding rookie year. If he hadn't missed a month, he and Reds infielder Jonathan India would be neck-and-neck for Rookie of the Year honors. Rogers made two minor league rehab starts and should be able to throw his usual allotment of pitches in his first start back. He can be confidently started in all formats.

Tue Aug 24 202114:05Trevor Rogers To Make Rehab Start On Tuesday
Miami Marlins starting pitcher Trevor Rogers will start two games at Low-A Jupiter this week. His first start will come on Tuesday and his second start will be later in the week. Rogers has been on the bereavement list since the end of July while attending to family matters. The 23-year-old southpaw has had a strong year in the majors. Over 20 starts, he has gone 7-6 with a 2.45 ERA, a 1.13 WHIP and a 28.7% strikeout rate. Assuming his rehab starts go well, he should be able to rejoin the Marlins rotation some time in early September.

Wed Aug 11 202112:18Trevor Rogers Placed On Bereavement List
Miami Marlins rookie starting pitcher Trevor Rogers was placed on the bereavement list on Wednesday and will not make his next scheduled start. Rogers recently spent a week on the family medical emergency list, and will now take some time on the bereavement list. He last made a start on July 31, and when he is ready, he will return to a 7-6 record and a 2.45 ERA. Rogers was the early favorite for Rookie of the Year honors, but he's starting to get some competition from Jonathan India and a few others.

Sat Jul 31 202115:38Trevor Rogers Reportedly Starting On Saturday
The Miami Marlins will reportedly activate starting pitcher Trevor Rogers (back) from the injured list on Saturday to start against the New York Yankees. Rogers has been on the injured list since July 24 due to back spasms, but will now return to action against New York. The left-hander is in the midst of a breakout season, pitching to a 2.37 ERA, a 2.55 FIP, 125 strikeouts, and 37 walks in 19 starts spanning 106.1 innings. Rogers gets a tough matchup in his return against a new-look Yankees lineup featuring Joey Gallo and Anthony Rizzo, but it'll be hard to leave the starter on fantasy benches on Saturday.

Fri Jul 30 202117:05Trevor Rogers Able To Throw Without Issue
Miami Marlins rookie starting pitcher Trevor Rogers (back) was able to throw a bullpen session without issue, according to several sources. Marlins manager Don Mattingly said it is still being decided when the rookie lefty will return to the starting rotation. Rogers landed on the injured list with lower back spasms on July 24, but it seems like he may not spend much more than the required 10 days on there. Rogers will return to a 7-6 record and a 2.37 ERA.
