Sat May 7 202222:12Franmil Reyes Homers In Saturday's Game 2 Win
Cleveland Guardians designated hitter Franmil Reyes went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run in Saturday's Game 2 win over the Toronto Blue Jays. He took Ross Stripling deep in the third inning for his third long ball of the season. The 26-year-old went 3-for-6 with a homer and a walk over both games in Saturday's doubleheader. He's starting to heat up and has collected multi-hit efforts in three of his last four games. Overall, Reyes is slashing .204/.245/.301 with three home runs, 10 RBI, eight runs, and four walks over 23 games in 2022. Despite his early struggles at the plate this season, fantasy managers should continue to roll with Reyes while he's wielding a hot bat recently.

Tue Apr 19 202214:33Franmil Reyes In Early Season Slump
Cleveland Guardians designated hitter Franmil Reyes hasn't enjoyed the most productive start to the season. Reyes is batting .150 with a .171 on-base percentage in 41 plate appearances to date in 2022. He's struck out 15 times so far while only walking once. It's certainly not an ideal start for the batter, who slugged 30 home runs last season and has a combined 92 homers since the start of the 2018 season. Still, he should have plenty of RBI opportunities moving forward hitting behind Myles Straw, Steven Kwan, and Jose Ramirez.

Sun Apr 3 202213:00Franmil Reyes Swinging A Hot Bat In Cactus League Action
Cleveland Guardians outfielder Franmil Reyes is off to a hot start in Cactus League action this spring. Reyes is hitting .375 with one homer, four runs, six RBI, and a steal over 24 at-bats. The 26-year-old is coming off an injury-shortened season thanks to an oblique strain that saw him hit 30 homers in just 115 games played. Reyes has plenty of power potential in his bat and could wind up being a value for fantasy gamers who snag him as a reserve outfielder.

Cleveland Indians outfielder and designated hitter Franmil Reyes went 1-for-3 with an RBI single in Tuesday's 6-3 Game 2 doubleheader loss to the Minnesota Twins. Sat Sep 4 202113:56Franmil Reyes Absent From Saturday's Lineup
Cleveland Indians outfielder/designated hitter Franmil Reyes is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Boston Red Sox, according to MLB.com. Reyes will look to reset after going 1 for his last 19 with 11 strikeouts. Third baseman Jose Ramirez will be the DH in Reyes' spot. He's had a great year at the dish, even with the slump, batting .248 with a .521 slugging, 24 HRs, 65 RBI, 45 runs, and four stolen bases over 89 games. Fantasy managers should stay patient with Reyes, and hopefully, he will come back like himself after his day off.

Thu Aug 26 202107:13Franmil Reyes Homers Wednesday Night
Cleveland Indians outfielder and designated hitter Franmil Reyes went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Wednesday's 7-2 win over the Texas Rangers. The home run from Reyes was nice to see as he has hit just three in August while also posting just a .600 OPS. He has been a source of power on the season, however, as he has 23 home runs across 301 at-bats and he should turn it around soon as two of the Tribe's next three series are against the Kansas City Royals and Minnesota Twins, both of which have subpar pitching.

Fri Aug 20 202122:34Franmil Reyes Records Five RBI Friday
Cleveland Indians outfielder/designated hitter Franmil Reyes had a terrific day at the dish on Friday, smashing a first-inning three-run home run and collecting five RBI. He also added a single and a run in five at-bats. He has been a mainstay in the heart of the Indians lineup, with Reyes having his best season since his rookie year, hitting .253 with a .536 slugging, 22 HRs, 60 RBI, and 41 runs. Reyes has been a great fantasy asset for managers who drafted him and should continue to be in their starting lineup. If he's still available in shallow leagues, it would be a good idea to pick him up before it's too late.

Wed Aug 18 202118:47Franmil Reyes Homers Wednesday
Cleveland Indians designated hitter and outfielder Franmil Reyes went 1-for-5 with a solo home run and a walk in Wednesday's 8-7 loss to the Minnesota Twins. The home run was a welcomed sign to fantasy managers as Reyes had not homered since July 30th. Reyes has been mired in a slump as he is posting just a .506 OPS in August. Fantasy managers should look for him to rebound soon as the Indians open up a nine-game homestand beginning with the Angels Friday night.

Fri Aug 6 202117:57Franmil Reyes Isn't Starting On Friday
Cleveland Indians designated hitter Franmil Reyes isn't starting on Friday as the team begins a three-game series against the Detroit Tigers. Reyes has provided both Cleveland and fantasy managers with some quality production at the plate, batting .275 with a .328 on-base percentage, 20 home runs, and three stolen bases in 265 plate appearances this season. Jose Ramirez is getting the start at designated hitter and batting third against Tigers right-hander Matt Manning. Ernie Clement is starting at third base and hitting ninth. Considering Ramirez starts most games for Cleveland, this is essentially Clement replacing Reyes in the lineup. You're probably better off looking elsewhere for streaming help on Friday. Clement is batting .203 with a .253 on-base percentage in 82 plate appearances this season.

Sat Jul 31 202102:55Joey Votto homers for 7th straight game, 1 shy of MLB record
NEW YORK (AP) — Joey Votto homered for the seventh straight game, one shy of a major league record, and the Cincinnati Reds beat the New York Mets 6-2 on Friday night. Jonathan India went deep twice for the Reds, including a leadoff shot that came on Carlos Carrasco’s first pitch with the Mets. Acquired from Cleveland in January, the veteran right-hander finally made his New York debut after recovering from a hamstring injury. It was an up-and-down day for the Mets, who made a big deal to get Javier Báez from the Chicago Cubs before baseball’s trade deadline — and then revealed injured ace Jacob deGrom will be shut down for two more weeks because of inflammation in his pitching elbow, making it unlikely he’ll rejoin the NL East leaders before September. Báez was acquired from the Cubs along with right-hander Trevor Williams for outfield prospect Pete Crow-Armstrong, the Mets’ first-round pick in the 2020 amateur draft. Báez is expected to join the Mets on Saturday and will play shortstop... [More]

Thu Jul 29 202102:14Late-scratch Judge hits tiebreaking single for Yanks in 10th
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — Aaron Judge went from being a late scratch to hitting a tiebreaking single in a two-run 10th inning to help the New York Yankees beat the Tampa Bay Rays for the second straight day, 3-1 on Wednesday night. Judge was taken out of the lineup about 30 minutes before the scheduled first pitch. Although no announcement was made about why, the All-Star right fielder struck out in the fifth pinch-hitting for Estevan Florial. Judge returned to the team Tuesday after going on the COVID-19 injured list July 16. New York also had a big night off the field. The Yankees reached a deal to get All-Star slugger Joey Gallo from the Texas Rangers, a person familiar with the trade told The Associated Press. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the move had not yet been announced and was subject to approval of medical records of the players involved.
