Andrew Albers threw 8 1/3 shutout innings in his major league debut to help the Twins beat the Royals 7-0 on Tuesday.

What a first impression. The 27-year-old southpaw was lights out, holding the Royals to just four hits and a walk. He's been good at Triple-A Rochester this year so the performance doesn't come as a complete surprise, but not many expected him to cruise past a very hot Royals club with such ease. He'll look for an encore performance at the White Sox on Sunday.
