Fri Apr 22 202215:11Brendan Rodgers Hitting Eighth Against Tigers
Colorado Rockies second baseman Brendan Rodgers has been dropped to eighth in the batting order on Friday against Detroit Tigers left-hander Tarik Skubal. Rodgers hit fifth in the lineup on Wednesday, but he's off to a rough start this year, going 4-for-42 with no home runs, one RBI and three runs scored in his first 11 games. He also has 16 strikeouts and only four walks in 47 plate appearances. The Rockies are facing a lefty, but fantasy managers may want to keep Rodgers on their benches until he can show some signs of life at the dish in the early going.

Wed Apr 6 202213:12Brendan Rodgers Looks To Deliver On The Hype
Colorado Rockies shortstop Brendan Rodgers has long been considered a potential fantasy monster, but injuries and limited playing time have continually held him back. Now that incumbent Trevor Story has moved on, Rodgers will take over as the starter at short and look to build on a solid 2021 campaign that saw him slash .284/.328/.470 with 15 homers in 387 at-bats. He also enjoyed a significant boost in performance on the road, meaning there's plenty of room for gains with the expansive outfield in Colorado's home park. Spring stats should be taken with a grain of salt, but it's hard to be discouraged by Rodgers' 1.012 OPS in the leadup to this 2022 season.

The 25-year-old showed some flashes this season and should be an integral part of the rebuilding Rockies' nucleus next year. He finishes the 2021 season with a .284 batting average, .798 OPS, 15 home runs, and 51 RBI over 387 at-bats.

Tue Sep 28 202108:00Brendan Rodgers Passes Concussion Protocols
Colorado Rockies second baseman Brendan Rodgers (head) was removed from Monday's game against the Washington Nationals in the first inning after being hit in the helmet by a pitch. Fortunately, he went on to pass all concussion protocols. He should be considered day-to-day. Rodgers has been hitting well lately with a .302/.323/.510 slash line in September. He has 15 home runs, 48 RBI and 47 runs over 97 games on the year. The 25-year-old has been plagued with injuries for several years, but we've finally gotten an extended look at him in the majors and he's delivered some solid production. He'll be a good mid-round target in drafts next spring.

Colorado Rockies infielder Brendan Rodgers went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run and two strikeouts in a 5-4 win over the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday. He's been solid, not special, but it's a step in the right direction for the former top prospect. If he can finish the year on a hot streak then he'll be a trendy pick in next year's drafts.
