The 24-year-old sensation has been a force to be reckoned with in fantasy baseball, as he has an exceptional batting average of .321 since May 1, alongside his five home runs, 20 RBI, and five stolen bases in 33 games.

On Wednesday, San Francisco Giants relief pitcher Camilo Doval had an exceptional outing, striking out one batter during a flawless ninth inning. His efforts resulted in a save against the Rockies. Doval successfully protected a one-run lead in the ninth to earn his 15th save, the most in the National League. The 25-year-old right-hander boasts an impressive 2.03 ERA, a commendable 0.98 WHIP, and 40 strikeouts across 26 2/3 innings. Since starting his Major League Baseball career in 2021, Doval has collected 45 saves.

Toronto Blue Jays designated hitter Brandon Belt was 2-for-4 with a solo homer against the Astros in a 3-2 win on Wednesday. Belt blasted a home run into the second deck off a pitch from Houston's hurler Ronel Blanco. His second hit was a single off Bryan Abreu in the eighth frame. The 35-year-old left-handed hitter is displaying the power absent in 2022, slashing .268/.385/.444 with four homers in 142 plate appearances. His four dingers this season have come in the last seven contests. For a fantasy manager looking to add some power to their lineup, the veteran Belt may be worth watching as his offensive output continues to increase.

Texas Rangers starting pitcher Jon Gray was delivered a 1-0 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals after tossing a complete-game gem Wednesday. Gray struck out 12 St. Louis batters while allowing no walks in over nine innings thrown. He only allowed four hits during the contest. Unfortunately, one of those four hits was a solo home run from Alec Burleson in the eighth inning which proved to be the game-winning run, as Texas could not produce any offense. Despite the loss, The 31-year-old has an excellent 2.32 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and has struck out 63 strikeouts over 73 2/3 frames.

Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Miguel Rojas (neck) left Wednesday night's game early against the Cincinnati Reds with neck tightness. Before leaving, Rojas went 0-for-2 with a strikeout to drop his season average to a mere .216. Chris Taylor moved from left field to the 6 to replace Rojas in the ballgame. The Dodgers should have an update on the 34-year-old's status on Wednesday night or early Thursday morning. With a matinee contest coming in the series finale against the Reds on Thursday, it's likely that we won't see Rojas in the lineup. Entering Wednesday's game, Rojas was hitting just .220 (27-for-123) with no home runs, six RBI and three steals in 38 games in his first year in LA. Obviously, Rojas isn't much of a fantasy option.

Tampa Bay Rays relief pitcher Pete Fairbanks (hip), who is currently on the injured list with left-hip inflammation, will throw to hitters on Friday at the Florida Complex League. How that goes will determine if Fairbanks needs another minor-league rehab outing or if he could return from the injured when eligible on Monday. As long as the 29-year-old right-hander doesn't suffer a setback this weekend on the farm, he should be back for the Rays and fantasy managers next week. He has only appeared in 13 games out of the bullpen in 2023 due to injuries, but he's been great when healthy with a 1.54 ERA (4.23 FIP), five saves, 1.11 WHIP and 10 strikeouts in 11 2/3 innings. Jason Adam has been serving as the closer, but Fairbanks should reclaim the role once he returns.

Chicago Cubs left-hander Justin Steele (forearm) will have a touch-and-feel throwing session on Wednesday, and manager David Ross said on Tuesday that Steele is on track to return from the injured list and start on June 17 against the Baltimore Orioles. It's the first day that Steele is eligible to be activated from the 15-day injured list. The 27-year-old southpaw is dealing with a left-forearm strain, but the injury isn't considered all that serious, and he may only need a short minor-league rehab assignment. If you're in need of pitching in mixed leagues, it might be a good idea to pick Steele up now if he's available on your waiver wire. In 12 starts (68 innings) so far in 2023, Steele has been sharp with a 2.65 ERA (2.84 FIP), 1.06 WHIP, 16 walks and 58 strikeouts.

The Los Angeles Angels placed outfielder Hunter Renfroe on the paternity list on Wednesday and recalled outfielder Jo Adell from Triple-A Salt Lake in a corresponding move. Renfroe will be out for up to three games, so fantasy managers should expect to have him back at some point this weekend in the series against the division-rival Seattle Mariners. He's gotten off to a nice start in July, going 5-for-16 (.313) with a solo homer in four games to raise his season slash line to .252/.302/.451 with 11 home runs and 30 RBI in 226 at-bats. Mickey Moniak is in right field for the second straight game on Wednesday for the Angels, and he's batting leadoff against Chicago Cubs right-hander Jameson Taillon.

Miami Marlins outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. (toe) had a positive report from a foot specialist on Wednesday, according to the team. Chisholm will be eased into baseball activities and will travel with the team on their road trip. The 25-year-old was diagnosed with turf toe in his right foot in the middle of May and was given a four- to six-week timetable for a return. Barring setbacks once he begins a minor-league rehab assignment, Chisholm should return to Miami's lineup as the regular center fielder before the end of June. With Chisholm out, Garrett Hampson and Jonathan Davis have split time in center field. Chisholm is hitting a disappointing .229 (33-for-144) this year, but he also has seven home runs, 16 RBI and 14 stolen bases in 159 trips to the plate.

Miami Marlins starting pitcher Edward Cabrera (hand) was forced from his start early on Wednesday against the Kansas City Royals due to a blister on his right hand. Cabrera has recently dealt with blister issues, so it seems like a recurrence of that. All things considered, it's good news for his fantasy managers, but it remains to be seen if the blister is serious enough to keep him from making his next start. Despite leaving early, Cabrera still picked up his fifth win of the season in the team's 6-1 victory by holding the Royals to one run on two hits while walking two and striking out four in five innings of work. The solid performance dropped his season ERA to 4.29 in 13 starts. The 25-year-old Dominican right-hander came into Wednesday's start with a 4.50 ERA (4.20 FIP), 1.43 WHIP, 36 walks and 76 K's in 58 innings over 12 starts.

New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso (wrist) was forced to leave Wednesday's game early against the Atlanta Braves after getting hit by a 97 mph fastball on the left wrist. Thankfully for the Mets and fantasy managers, Alonso's X-rays came back negative, and he's being considered day-to-day with a left-wrist contusion. Fantasy managers can let out a sigh of relief after the injury scare, but don't be surprised if the Polar Bear isn't in the lineup for the series finale against Atlanta on Thursday. Alonso didn't have an official at-bat in the game. The 28-year-old two-time All-Star entered the day with a .231 average (53-for-229) with four doubles, a triple, a league-high 22 home runs and a league-high 49 RBI in 61 games played. Alonso is a must-start anytime he's active.

Chicago Cubs outfielder Christopher Morel remains out of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Angels. The 23-year-old will miss his second game in a row after going 2-for-29 over his last 10 games. Despite his recent struggles, Morel is still slashing .256/.318/.641 with nine home runs and 15 RBI in 21 games with the Cubs. Mike Tauchman will cover center field and bat fifth versus right-hander Jaime Barria on Wednesday.

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Jo Adell has been recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Wednesday. The 24-year-old is a former first round pick of the Angels from the 2017 Amateur Draft. Last season, Adell hit .224/.264/.373 with eight home runs and 27 RBI in 88 games with the Angels. He has been on fire in the minors, which has resulted in his call up. He's slashing .278/.365/.593 with 18 home runs and 43 RBI in 55 games in Triple-A this season. Adell is well worth a look in deep leagues given his power output in the minors so far. In a corresponding move, outfielder Hunter Renfroe has been placed on the paternity leave list.

Oakland Athletics relief pitcher Trevor May was called upon to shut the door versus the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday. At first, it wasn't a save situation, but Ken Waldichuk got into some trouble in the ninth. May was asked to come in with two on and a run already in, making it a save situation. He gave up a single to the first batter he faced, but settled down after that. May got the next two batters out, which resulted in his first save of the season. He's allowed one run over his 7 2/3 innings of work so far this season. He appears to be the clear favorite for saves in Oakland.

Milwaukee Brewers shortstop Willy Adames (concussion) has been activated from the 7-day concussion injured list on Wednesday. He returns to the field after a brief absence after getting hit in the head by a foul ball in late May. The 27-year-old is slashing .205/.292/.384 with nine home runs and 27 RBI in 51 games this season. He's at shortstop and batting second against right-hander Dean Kremer on Wednesday. Fantasy managers should make sure to get Adames back in their lineup for this one.

Tampa Bay Rays second baseman Brandon Lowe (back) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Monday. The organization announced on Wednesday that Lowe has been shut down from baseball activities for 2-3 weeks. It sounds like the Rays are going to give Lowe plenty of time to recover from his disc issue in his back. The organization hasn't given a timetable for Lowe, but the expectation is that he'll likely be out until closer to the All-Star break.

Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia is absent from the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals. This appears to be a routine rest day for the veteran outfielder. He has been reliable this season, slashing .273/.331/.515 with 15 home runs and 52 RBI in 58 games this season. Robbie Grossman will cover right field and bat seventh versus right-hander Jack Flaherty. Fantasy managers should expect Garcia to be back in the lineup after this game.

Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (groin) remains out of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Washington Nationals. This marks the third game in a row that Gurriel has missed due to groin tightness. The organization is calling it a day-to-day issue, so he'll avoid for injured list for the moment. However, fantasy managers should key an eye on his status as it could change on Thursday.

Cincinnati Reds outfielder Jake Fraley (wrist) has been scratched from Wednesday's lineup against the Los Angeles Dodgers with a right wrist contusion. Fraley was hit by a pitch in Tuesday's contest and he's still feeling the effects on Wednesday. Will Benson is taking his place in right field and batting leadoff against Noah Syndergaard and the Dodgers. It sounds like Fraley is just a little sore so hopefully a day off is all that he needs. He can be considered day-to-day for now and fantasy managers should keep an eye on his availability for Thursday's series finale against Los Angeles.

Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Matt Chapman (toe) is starting at third base and is batting fifth in the lineup on Wednesday against right-hander Ronel Blanco and the Houston Astros. Chapman had in infected and ingrown toenail removed on Monday and sat out of Tuesday's contest, but he'll be back on Wednesday for fantasy managers. The 30-year-old is having a very fine season in his second year in Toronto in 2023, as he's currently slashing .281/.362/.487 with an .849 OPS, a league-leading 22 doubles, eight home runs, 30 RBI and 32 runs scored in 60 games played. He's not off to a great start in five games in June, going 3-for-16 (.188) with a homer and two RBI, but Chapman deserves to be in starting lineups on a regular basis.
