C Jett Bandy (fractured rib) played catch Sunday morning and should start swinging a bat this week as the Brewers continue their road trip. It will be September before Bandy, who has been on the 10-day disabled list since Aug. 4, is able to play for the Brewers.

C Jett Bandy suffered a fractured rib and was placed on the 10-day disabled list Thursday. Bandy broke camp with the Brewers this season but was sent down to Triple-A Colorado Springs when Milwaukee acquired Stephen Vogt then returned to the big league club when Vogt went on the disabled list. He's batting .218 with six home runs this season.

In the sixth inning, Bandy propelled an 89 mph fastball from Seattle Mariners RHP Nate Vincent off the screen on the left-field foul pole for a solo drive. Then after hitting a single in the eighth, Bandy came home on 2B Cliff Pennington's triple down the right-field line. The rookie went 2-for-4 for his seventh multi-hit game this season.

Friday, Bandy went 1 for 4 and threw out another baserunner trying to steal.
