Wed May 28 201423:20Hector Noesi holds Indians to one run
Hector Noesi allowed just one run in 7 1/3 innings against the Indians in a no-decision Wednesday.
It's a depleted Indians lineup, but this still rates as one of the best starts of Noesi's career. He allowed five hits, walked none and struck out five. He did give up a homer, but that was to be expected. We still wouldn't trust him in AL-only leagues right now.

Sat May 24 201400:39Noesi goes six innings in no-decision
Hector Noesi yielded three runs in six innings Friday in a no-decision against the Yankees.
Noesi wasn't great, allowing four hits and five walks, but he managed to keep the keep the damage to a minimum and left the game in position for his first victory since 2012. However, the Yankees took the lead in the seventh inning before Adam Dunn hit a walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth. The wait continues for Noesi, but fantasy owners shouldn't come along for the ride.

Sun May 11 201417:48Noesi allows three runs over six vs. D'backs
Hector Noesi allowed three runs on eight hits over six innings in Sunday's loss to the Diamondbacks.
Noesi allowed three walks while striking out four. He's gotten progressively more stretched out in each of his three starts, and his 7.25 ERA and 1.70 WHIP are somewhat skewed by a couple bad outings. Still, he's not an option outside of the deepest of AL-only leagues. He'll take on the Astros in Houston on Saturday.

Wed May 7 201400:24Noesi holds Cubs to one run over five innings
Hector Noesi allowed one run over five innings but didn't stick around long enough to earn the win over the Cubs on Tuesday.
Noesi allowed four hits and a walk, striking out six. Even after the nice outing, Noesi owns an 8.27 ERA and 1.65 WHIP, an indication that Tuesday's outcome is due more to the Cubs' offensive incompetence than any brilliance on Noesi's part. He still shouldn't be trusted when the White Sox visit the Athletics on Monday.

Wed Apr 30 201417:26Noesi surrenders four runs in loss to Tigers
Hector Noesi surrendered four earned runs in 3 2/3 innings Wednesday in a loss to the Tigers.
It was his first start of the season after making six relief appearances between the Mariners, Rangers, and White Sox. The first three innings went smoothly on Wednesday, but Noesi coughed up four runs in the fourth and the White Sox were unable to get back into hit. Noesi, 27, does not appear to be a viable major league starter.

His pitch count would be limited Wednesday, but he's not someone fantasy owners should be considering, anyway.

White Sox claimed RHP Hector Noesi off waivers from the Rangers.
It's a little funny, given that probably the main reason Noesi was designated for assignment earlier this week was because he allowed seven runs to the White Sox on Sunday. The righty will work in long relief for the Pale Hose.

Noesi did a nice job in a spot start Thursday, holding the Yankees to an unearned run over 4 1/3 innings, but the M's need a fresh arm for the pen. The righty should get another shot later this season.

Thu May 16 201322:56Hector Noesi effective in spot start
Hector Noesi held the Yankees to an unearned run over 4 1/3 innings in his start Thursday.
Not bad for a guy who had pitched just four times in a month while mopping up for the Mariners. Encouraging is that Noesi still hasn't allowed a homer in 13 2/3 innings this season. He gave up 21 in 106 2/3 innings for Seattle last year. We still wouldn't go rushing out to pick him up in AL-only leagues.

Mariners optioned RHP Hector Noesi to Triple-A Tacoma.
Noesi was an utter disaster this spring, posting a 17.36 ERA while walking eight over 4 2/3 frames. He'll be in contention for a call-up when the M's need a starter, but the righty has been erratic at the big league level to this point.
