Featherston was reinstated from the DL on Tuesday.
With Johnny Giavotella battling an illness, Featherston should share playing time at second base with Grant Green. He will get the start and hit ninth Tuesday against the A's.

Featherston was placed on the 15-day DL Sunday with an upper back strain.
Featherston had been seeing relatively consistent infield reps due to various injuries, but will now be on the shelf for at least two weeks. That was soon about to end, however, as Erick Aybar (back) will be making his return to the lineup Sunday night. Featherston should be activated from the DL just in time for September callups, but he may not have a prominent role at that time.

Featherston will start at third base and bat ninth Monday against the White Sox.
Featherston has seen starts come at a premium this year, notching just 86 plate appearances in 68 games this season. He's hitting .143 with one home run, five RBI and three stolen bases this season. He replaces Conor Gillaspie in the starting lineup.

Featherston started at third base and went 0-for-2 before he was lifted for a pinch hitter in Thursday's loss to the Twins. He started at third base after David Freese suffered a broken finger in Wednesday's game.
Featherston looks like the short term starter at third base for the Angels, but the team has to be exploring other options with Freese out at least two weeks. While Featherston has a good glove, he's hitting just .134 with a .390 OPS.
Thu Jun 18 201519:48Featherston 1-4 with first career home run Thursday in Arizona
Featherston went 1-for-4 with his first career home run Thursday in Arizona.
The third-inning solo shot off D-Backs starter Allen Webster got the day's scoring started, and it represents the high-water mark of what's been a simply awful season so far for Featherston. He's played second, third and short when needed, but has hit simply atrociously -- Thursday's relatively big-time effort lifted his batting average all the way to .100.
Sat Apr 4 201510:30Featherston has won spot on Angels' 25-man roster
Featherston has won a spot on the Angels' 25-man roster, MLB.com's Alden Gonzalez reports.
Featherston's status as a Rule 5 pick likely factored prominently into the Angels' decision to keep him around, as the team would have had to offer him back to the Rockies had he not been added to the 25-man roster after spring training. Since Featherston has yet to play above the Double-A level, where he batted .260/.322/.439 with 16 homers over 127 at-bats last season, he's not expected to see much playing time behind starting second baseman Johnny Giavotella, nor at any other position around the infield.
