RHP Mike Bolsinger (left oblique strain) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to March 25. He might be able to return by May 1.

Bolsinger (6-6) didn't last long on Wednesday, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks across 3.1 innings in a loss to the Giants. He did however, strike out seven.

It was the "hangover" game for the Dodgers and their performance showed as such, as they mustered up two hits to support Bolsinger. The righty had a great start to the season, but has been regressing lately. In fact, over his last six starts, Bolsinger has a 6.39 ERA and 1.97 WHIP. He'll likely miss out on starting in the playoffs, but could possibly come out of the bullpen.

Bolsinger will make his next start Wednesday in San Francisco, True Blue LA's Eric Stephen reports.

Considering he's allowed seven home runs in his last 17 innings, it's best to look elsewhere if you need to stream a starting pitcher. Bolsinger will need a lights-out performance to receive consideration for the playoff roster.

Bolsinger (6-5) was roughed up for four runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out two over four innings in Friday's loss to Colorado.

Bolsinger served up three homers on Friday and has now surrendered seven dingers in 17 innings since being called up from Triple-A on Sept. 4. His penchant for giving up homers, coupled with a heinous 1.94 WHIP over the same four-start stretch makes him toxic as the season comes to a close.

Bolsinger picked up the loss against the Pirates Sunday, allowing four runs (three earned, but the unearned run came as a result of his own error) over 4.1 innings.

This was a second consecutive sloppy start for Bolsinger, who allowed five hits (among those were two homers) and three walks to go along with his error. He struck out four batters.

Bolsinger will start Saturday against the Diamondbacks, Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reports.

While the right-hander wasn't particularly good against the Padres last weekend, giving up two homers and three runs total in five innings, he'll be afforded another start with Brett Anderson (calf) pushed back to next week. If Bolsinger fares better this time around, the Dodgers could consider swapping Mat Latos (neck) out for him in the starting rotation.

Bolsinger will start Friday against the Padres, Pedro Moura of the Orange County Register reports.

Bolsinger will get the nod Friday and give at least some of the other Dodgers starters an extra day of rest. He will start for the big league club for the first time since July 29 and take on a Padres team that he limited to two runs in 12.2 innings over two starts earlier this season.

Bolsinger is expected to make a start for the Dodgers this weekend, Pedro Moura of the Orange County Register reports.

The Dodgers are not currently listing any probables for their final three games of the week, but it sounds like Bolsinger will make a spot start in San Diego with the club looking to rest its full-time rotation members. Bolsinger has turned in a 2.83 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, .240 BAA and 78:31 K:BB in his 16 starts so far this season.

Bolsinger was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

The acquisition of Mat Latos and Alex Wood at the trade deadline left Bolsinger, who has a 2.83 ERA and 1.24 WHIP with the big club this season, as the odd man out of the rotation. It's possible the Dodgers could give Bolsinger a spot start in the near future in order to rest their top arms, but it does not appear Bolsinger will have a permanent spot on the starting staff.

Bolsinger could be a candidate for a spot start in San Diego, but he'll likely join the club either way. With five members of the rotation pretty much locked in, it would likely take an injury for the 27-year-old to remain in the rotation long-term, but it's also possible he will move to the bullpen.

Bolsinger could get a spot start with the Dodgers once rosters expand in September, SB Nation's Eric Stephen reports.

The Dodgers are toying with the idea of going with a six-man rotation for the first week of September in an effort to give the other five starters an extra day of rest as the team has just two off days next month. It is important for the Dodgers to keep Zack Greinke and Clayton Kershaw on line to face the Giants twice and Pirates once in September, so Bolsinger would likely just get the one start before moving to the bullpen. That said, the start would come in San Diego, so Bolsinger could be worth a spot start in fantasy leagues next week.

Bolsinger (wrist) tossed three scoreless innings Sunday for Triple-A Oklahoma City, having avoided injury after taking a line drive off his wrist area in his previous outing on August 4.

Bolsinger is pitching in long relief in Triple-A, and given the team's bullpen woes, he could find himself back on the 25-man roster at any moment.

Bolsinger left Tuesday's start at Triple-A Oklahoma City after suffering an "apparent injury", Mark Saxon of ESPN LA reports.

Bolsinger took a line drive off of his forearm/wrist area in the second inning and was subsequently removed from the game in the fourth. Dodgers GM Farhan Zaidi has not commented on the nature or severity of Bolsinger's injury at this point.

The Dodgers optioned Bolsinger to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday.

Bolsinger has been more than effective this season, going 5-3 and posting a 2.83 ERA in 16 starts with the Dodgers, but he was forced to give up his place in the rotation, and now his spot on the roster altogether, following the team's acquisitions of fellow starters Mat Latos and Alex Wood. Bolsinger will be the top option if the Dodgers need to add a starter to the rotation at any point before season's end, but for now his starts will come for Oklahoma City, and not Los Angeles.

Bolsinger was a late replacement for Clayton Kershaw, who was scratched earlier in the day with hip soreness. The 27-year-old righty fared well and left the game with a 3-2 lead, but he didn't factor in the decision as the Dodgers bullpen squandered the lead. Bolsinger is 1-1 in five July starts and has seen his ERA drop from 3.09 to 2.83 since his first start of the month. His next start will be Wednesday at Philadelphia.

Bolsinger will get the start Wednesday against Oakland.

Clayton Kershaw was scratched from his scheduled start with soreness in his hip/glute area. Bolsinger will be going on more than full rest as he last started on July 22 against the Braves, when he held the Braves to one unearned run over seven innings of work.

Bolsinger struck out four and walked one while giving up an unearned run on three hits over seven innings Wednesday against the Braves.

The performance paved the way for Bolsinger to record his fifth win of the season. While the Dodgers have been linked to several potential rotation upgrades via trade, Bolsinger's performance this season has been extremely valuable to the team in the absence of Hyun-Jin Ryu and Brandon McCarthy. With a pair of off-days coming up next week, the Dodgers have Bolsinger lined up to face the Angels on July 31 in his next scheduled start.

Bolsinger suffered his third loss of the season Sunday against the Mets, allowing four runs on nine hits and a walk across five innings.

The 27-year-old simply allowed too many baserunners on the day and needed 101 pitches to labor through five frames before he was replaced. He had been ill heading into Sunday's start and his performance indicated that he could have still been feeling the effects. Bolsinger has now failed to make it longer than 5.1 innings in any of his last five starts and will look to get back on track Friday against the Brewers.

Bolsinger (illness) will get the start Sunday afternoon against the Mets.

Bolsinger was affected by what appeared to be food poisoning in his last start Monday, but that won't prevent him from taking the mound for his regularly scheduled start Sunday. He had cruised through four scoreless innings in that outing, and will attempt to pick up where he left off against Steven Matz and the Mets.

Bolsinger left Monday night's start against Arizona with what may be food poisoning, Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reports.

This is a tough break for Bolsinger, who'd struck out four without a walk and worked around three hits over four scoreless innings. Bolsinger will take a sparkling 2.76 ERA into his next start Sunday against the Mets, and he'll also try to finish six innings for the first time since June 8.
