Tolleson blew his second save in Tuesday's loss to Toronto, as he gave up two runs (one earned) on a hit and two walks and only managed to record two outs.
Tolleson still has a 2.83 ERA and is a solid 24-for-26 on save opportunities, so this should be considered nothing but a hiccup. It was more a demonstration of the difficulty any reliever will have facing the top of Toronto's order, as Troy Tulowitzki and Josh Donaldson knocked in the tying and winning runs respectively -- and to Tolleson's credit, they needed a blooper single and an error by Adrian Beltre to do it.

Tolleson logged his 24th save with a scoreless ninth inning against Detroit on Friday night. He allowed one hit while striking out the side.
He suffered a minor foot injury earlier this week, but he is back and is showing no negative effects. Tolleson has been a very pleasant surprise for Texas and his fantasy owners, and should be safe to have in your lineups going forward.
Wed Aug 19 201513:26Tolleson injured foot in Monday's game
Tolleson injured his foot in Monday's game, but has been examined by a doctor and is available to pitch Wednesday, Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Tolleson's injury reportedly happened on a play at first base, but a day off Tuesday was enough for him. Assuming nothing more pops up, he should be good to go again moving forward.

Tolleson notched his 22nd save with a scoreless ninth inning against the Rays on Friday night. He allowed one hit with no walks or strikeouts.
He is now 22-for-23 in save opportunities with a very tidy 2.75 ERA and a 1.07 WHIP to go with 56 strikeouts in 52.1 innings. Each season an unheralded reliever steps up and does a great job in the closer's role, and Tolleson has to be included in discussions for that honor in 2015.

Tolleson picked up his fourth win of the season Saturday, working a scoreless 10th and 11th inning and allowing one hit and two walks while striking out five.
He threw 48 pitches, so expect the Rangers to turn to someone else if a save situation arises Sunday. Tolleson has quickly established himself as a solid second-tier closing option this season, converting 20 of his 21 save chances while posting a 2.86 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 56:12 K:BB ratio through 50.1 innings.
Thu Aug 6 201508:56Tolleson deemed largely unavailable for Wednesday's game
Tolleson was deemed largely unavailable for Wednesday's game, a contest Texas eventually won 4-3 with Sam Dyson picking up the save, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Tolleson entered Wednesday's game having thrown an inning in six of the past seven games; with a team off day Thursday, Tolleson should be available for his normal closing duties Friday when Texas travels to Seattle.

Tolleson tossed a scoreless frame Friday night to record his 16th save of the season.
He's settled down after a shaky outing to finish the first half followed by another in his first appearance after the All-Star break last week. Tolleson is 16-for-17 in save chances, while he's posted an impressive 42:8 K:BB for the Rangers in 41.1 innings this season.

Tolleson threw a scoreless ninth inning Wednesday against the Rockies en route to claiming his 15th save of the season.
Tolleson has brought plenty of stability to the ninth inning since assuming closing duties, as his 41:8 K:BB ratio over 40.1 innings would seem to support. He's only blown one save opportunity to date and should have a decent amount of security in his role with few Rangers relievers making a case for more high-leverage duties.

Tolleson took the loss against the Padres on Saturday, allowing three runs on five hits while getting just two outs in the top of the ninth. The blown save drops his season record to 2-2.
Tolleson is now 13-for-14 in save opportunities, but he'll have to avoid nights like this if he wants to hold on to the closer's role in Texas. The righty had given up just one run in his previous eight appearances, so this outing should be looked at as an anomaly until proven otherwise.

Tolleson picked up his 13th save of season Friday, throwing a scoreless ninth inning in a 4-3 win over the Padres.
The 27-year-old made things interesting, allowing a leadoff single to Will Venable and a walk to Yander Alonso, but ultimately struck out Matt Kemp on a high fastball to end the contest. Tolleson has allowed just one run in his last eight appearances and seems to have a firm grasp on the closer role.

Tolleson gave up a run on a hit and a walk Tuesday against the Orioles but still notched his 11th save of the season.
He still got the save, so it would appear that his job is safe. The run came after J.J. Hardy reached base on a walk and was then driven in by Travis Snider. Tolleson's overall numbers still compare favorably to those of Tanner Scheppers and Keone Kela, who pitched perfect innings Tuesday prior to Tolleson getting the ball in the ninth.

Tolleson pitched a scoreless ninth inning to earn his 10th save of the season Friday against the White Sox.
The 27-year-old capped off a come-from-behind victory with another strong appearance and is now 10-for-10 in save opportunities. Tolleson also has a 2.53 ERA and is striking out more than a batter per inning, making him a strong fantasy option now that he has officially been named the Rangers' closer.

Tolleson was unavailable for action Wednesday after having pitched in three straight games.
Keone Kela pitched the ninth to notch his first major-league save, but Tolleson is in no danger of losing his grip on the closers' role for the foreseeable future.

Rangers manager Jeff Banister officially named Tolleson the team's closer Tuesday, the Dallas Morning News reports. "He's closed enough games out for us to be called the closer," Banister said. "I'm comfortable with giving him the closer's position."
This was little more than a formality at this point, as Tolleson has gone 9-for-9 in save opportunities since unofficially taking over in the ninth inning last month. It's still worth noting, though, as Banister had seemed intent on going without set roles after Neftali Feliz was removed as closer. Tolleson is averaging better than a strikeout per inning this season but has recorded just three punchouts in his last eight appearances.

Tolleson earned his ninth save Monday as he worked around a hit to retire the Dodgers in the ninth. He struck out one.
Tolleson issued just his fifth walk in Sunday's outing against the Twins, in which he suffered his first loss and allowed a run on two hits. Tolleson now owns a 1.48 BB/9 after working through Tuesday's outing without a walk; he has yet to issue walks in consecutive outings this season. Maintaining this control will be critical to his success. He walked 3.5 batters per nine innings in 64 games in 2014.

Tolleson took the loss Sunday against the Twins as he allowed a run on two hits and a walk after entering a tie game in the ninth.
It was just the second time in 16 appearances that the right-hander has been scored upon, and he still holds a 2.76 ERA on the season. Tolleson is still not officially referred to as the team's "closer," but has been given virtually every high-leverage appearance for the last month, converting all eight save opportunities he's seen, and is the arm to own in the Texas bullpen.

Tolleson worked around a hit to record his eighth save Tuesday against Oakland.
A brilliant season continues for Tolleson, who is perfect in save situations. He has given up just one run in 20 appearances dating back to May 20th (0.42 ERA).

Tolleson gave up two hits, including a solo home run to Salvador Perez, and struck out one Saturday en route to his seventh save of the season.
He went nearly an entire calendar month without allowing a run to score. Tolleson continues to solidify his hold on the Rangers' closer gig, and now sports a 2.73 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 32:4 K:BB ratio through 26.1 innings.

Tolleson pitched a clean ninth inning to register his sixth save as Texas downed the Red Sox 7-4 Friday night.
Tolleson has provided stability at the back end of the Ranger's bullpen, and is now 6-for-6 in save opportunities and carries a solid 2.70 ERA. Each quality outing solidifies his hold on the closer's gig.

Tolleson tossed a perfect ninth inning on 19 pitches in Tuesday's win over Cleveland.
