Gonzalez received a no-decision Saturday, allowing three runs on six hits and three walks over seven innings while striking out five.
The Orioles didn't pull ahead until the bottom of the ninth, denying Gonzalez the win despite a quality start. He'll look for another solid effort Thursday, at home against the Twins.

Gonzalez struggled once again, giving up four earned runs in 4.2 innings, but took the no-decision. He struck out six while giving up seven hits (two home runs) and two walks.
Gonzalez pitched six or more innings just twice in his last 10 starts, going 4-4 over that span, but has just one quality start in his last six outings. His ERA has ballooned up to 4.45 and he should be back on the mound Saturday against Oakland.

Gonzalez will make his next start Sunday or Monday depending on when the Orioles decide to let Chris Tillman (ankle) make his next start, MASN Sports reports.
Gonzalez has good career numbers against the Angels, going 3-1 with a 2.20 ERA. Tillman rescheduled his start from Monday to Friday, and the start is being pushed back again.

Gonzalez took his eight loss Tuesday against Oakland as he allowed three runs on five hits and three walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out five.
Gonzalez induced 11 swinging strikes but both struggled with his control and allowed three extra-base hits. He has had a problem with home runs -- 18 in 20 starts -- and although he didn't give up any long balls Tuesday night, most of the damage he allowed stemmed from the two doubles and the triple he allowed. His ERA sits at 4.32.

Gonzalez (9-7) was rocked for five runs on 10 hits and a walk over just 3.1 innings Thursday in a loss to the Tigers.
Gonzalez was all around the plate in this one, and the Tigers smacked him around, with Baltimore's late offensive rally coming up one run short of saving him from taking the loss. He's always been a guy who's outpitched his peripherals -- Gonzalez's career ERA is more than a full run lower than his FIP, thanks in large part to a spectacular strand rate -- but this year, it's all finally starting to catch up to him. He'll take his next turn Tuesday against the A's.

Gonzalez won his ninth game of the season Saturday, holding the Rays to one run on five hits over 7.2 innings while striking out five.
His only real mistake resulted in a solo shot by Tampa catcher Curt Casali. The strong outing gets Gonzalez's ERA back down to 3.99, but as long as he continues to have trouble keeping the ball in the park (his HR/9 is now a career-high 1.53) he'll struggle to keep it below 4.00. His next turn in the rotation comes Thursday, at home against the Tigers.

Gonzalez allowed six runs on nine hits and two walks with four strikeouts while being pinned with the loss Saturday against the Nationals.
Gonzalez has hit a rough patch lately, failing to pitch beyond six innings in any of his last five starts and only tossing one quality start in that time. Keep in mind Gonzalez had a 2.19 ERA and a 1.10 ERA in the second half of 2014.
Sun Jul 5 201520:28Gonzalez improved to 7-5 with win over White Sox on Sunday
Gonzalez improved to 7-5 with a win over the White Sox on Sunday. He gave up just one run on four hits and one walk while striking out three over six innings.
His first two starts back from the DL were less than stellar -- he gave up 10 runs, including four homers, in 10.1 innings -- but Gonzalez took a step forward with this performance. The right-hander brought his ERA back below 4.00 and his WHIP and BAA now stand at 1.20 and .237, respectively. Keep in mind, though, that Gonzalez has given up 15 home runs in 88.1 innings this season and lines up to face a Nationals team his next time out that ranks fourth in the NL in homers.

Gonzalez gave up six runs on eight hits and three walks over 4.1 innings Tuesday against the Rangers.
He recorded just one strikeout in what was his worst start of the season and one of the worst starts of his career. The three home runs he surrendered tied a career high and the six runs were the most he had given up since his first start of the 2014 season. That said, the ball was really carry Tuesday, as Mitch Moreland hit a pair of homers out, as did Chris Davis with Manny Machado hitting one of his own. Gonzalez will have a much more manageable matchup in his next start Monday in Minnesota.

Gonzalez has been reinstated from the 15-day disabled list and will get the start Thursday against Boston.
Gonzalez was placed on the disabled list with a groin strain, but was able to return after the minimum 15 days. He'll get the start at Fenway Park on Thursday, where he is 3-0 lifetime with a 2.10 ERA.

Gonzalez (groin) is expected to be activated from the DL on Thursday and make the start against Boston on that day, Eduardo Encina on The Baltimore Sun reports.
Gonzalez was initially expected to make his return on Friday against the Blue Jays, but Encina's report indicates that he should be back on the hill for the Orioles' series finale with the Red Sox.

Gonzalez (groin) will start for the Orioles on Friday against the Blue Jays, MLB.com's Brittany Ghiroli reports.
Gonzalez gave up two earned runs on five hits and a walk in a rehab outing Saturday, and that gave the team enough faith to pencil him in for Friday's series opener. He'll be returning against a tough Toronto lineup, so fantasy owners may want to wait and see that the right-hander is at full strength before deploying him. Prior to landing on the disabled list, Gonzalez was 5-4 with a 3.33 ERA and 1.12 WHIP.

Gonzalez (groin) threw a successful mound session Thursday and will pitch at Double-A Bowie on Saturday, Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun reports. If all goes well Saturday, Gonzalez will start for the Orioles on June 25.
Gonzalez's rehab appears to be moving along as expected, and all signs point to him getting back on the mound for Baltimore in a week. On the year, Gonzalez is 5-4 with a 3.33 ERA and 59:24 K:BB ratio across 73.0 innings.

Gonzalez (groin), who will throw a bullpen session Thursday, could rejoin the Orioles to start a game against the Red Sox on June 25, Roch Kubatko of MASNsports.com reports.
Gonzalez hopes to be back right around the 15-day minimum, and everything seems to be going according to plan thus far. He has a 5-4 record, 3.33 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 59:24 K:BB ratio in 73 innings this season, most recently tossing 4.1 scoreless frames against the Red Sox on June 9.
Tue Jun 16 201514:45Miguel Gonzalez: (Groin) Could Start For Orioles June 25
Baltimore Orioles pitcher Miguel Gonzalez could return to the team June 25 to start against the Boston Red Sox after recovering from a groin injury, according to MASN Sports.
Baltimore Orioles pitcher Miguel Gonzalez could return to the team June 25 to start against the Boston Red Sox after recovering from a groin injury, according to MASN Sports. Gonzalez was placed on the disabled list after leaving a game following 4.1 scoreless innings against the Red Sox earlier this month, but Orioles manager Buck Showlater said he expects Gonzalez to be able to return in two weeks. "I feel confident that he'll make the period," Showalter told the Baltimore Sun. "But watching him try to throw that last inning, it wasn't going to work. We waited a couple of days just to see. Obviously, he's worth waiting on. It's about Miguel. Not the need of the club right now, because we're actually in pretty good shape in the 'pen, considering six guys and a four- and a five-inning start. I couldn't ask for much more than that."
Thu Jun 11 201515:20Miguel Gonzalez: (Groin) Lands On DL
Gonzalez was placed on the 15-day DL on Thursday with a strained right groin, Rich Dubroff of CSN Baltimore reports.
The O's did not immediately provide a timetable for Gonzalez's return, but the right-hander will need at least a couple weeks to get right after leaving Tuesday's game with the injury. Mike Wright was recalled in a corresponding move and could start Sunday, if he isn't needed out of the bullpen in the coming days. Kevin Gausman (shoulder) will eventually be an option to fill Gonzalez's rotation spot.

Wed Jun 10 201520:51Gonzalez (groin) appears to be headed to disabled list
Gonzalez (groin) appears to be headed to the disabled list, Jon Morosi of FOX Sports reports.
Gonzalez left Tuesday's game in the fifth inning with a right groin strain, and although nothing official has been announced, it appears the right-hander will require a DL stint to get back to full strength. If that notion holds true and the Orioles find themselves in need of a fifth starter, they may end up turning to Kevin Gausman (shoulder) once he's activated from the disabled list.
Tue Jun 9 201521:12Miguel Gonzalez: Leaves With Groin Strain
Gonzalez left Tuesday's game in the fifth inning with a right groin strain.
He was able to go 4.1 shutout innings before exiting, giving up four hits and two walks with one strikeouts against the Red Sox. If Gonzalez requires a DL stay, the Orioles would likely bump up to a seven-man bullpen before deciding who to insert into the rotation. T.J. McFarland, who relieved Gonzalez on Tuesday, could be an option to start a bullpen game if Gonzalez misses his next start, but the obvious candidate to eventually step in if necessary would be Kevin Gausman.
