Danks fell to 6-10 as he allowed five runs (four earned) on five hits and a walk over seven innings Tuesday against the Angels. He struck out three.

Danks continues to be sunk by the home run ball, as he gave up his 16th and 17th of the season Tuesday. He has now given up 17 home runs in 23 starts and is running a 1.1 HR/9. His ERA is up to 4.61, which would be his best mark since 2011.

Danks held the Angels to one run on five hits over 7.1 innings Wednesday, but he did not factor into the decision.

Danks posted his fourth quality start since the All-Star break, but he was denied the win after the bullpen allowed the Angels to tie the game late. As mentioned in the previous sentence, Danks has four quality starts since the All-Star break, and he has held the Angels, Royals (twice), Yankees, and Cardinals to a combined five runs since the break (he threw one clunker against the Red Sox). He should be able to maintain the roll in his next start, also against the Angels.

Danks (6-9) took the loss on Friday against the Royals, conceding three runs on five hits and three walks in six innings. He tossed six strikeouts in the defeat.

Despite pitching reasonably well, Danks was out outdueled by Edinson Volquez. His good-but-not-great outing represented a bit of a departure from Danks' most recent starts, where he seemed to alternate between blanking opponents and being chased out of games. As he does not offer much in the way of strikeouts whether he is on his game or off of it, he is probably a less-than-ideal player to roll the dice on every five games.

Danks held the Yankees to one run on three hits while striking out a season-high eight Saturday to earn his sixth win of the season.

The punching bag of the White Sox's rotation for much of the season, Danks has not been half bad over the past month. He as allowed one run or fewer in four of his last six starts, and he has a 28:12 K:BB over those 34 innings. Unfortunately the other two starts were six-run affairs, and it is hard to know what type of performance to expect on any given night.

Danks served up seven runs (six earned) on nine hits over 4.1 innings in Monday's no decision against Boston.

Danks has now given up at least five earned runs six times in 19 starts this year, compared to just eight quality starts. Danks struck out just two batters in Monday's start, giving him just 75 in 108.2 innings (6.2 K/9).

Danks extended his scoreless streak to 12.2 innings over his past two starts. After a season-high four walks in his last outing, Danks didn't walk a single batter in 6.2 innings Wednesday. It was his fourth straight start at home, but his next outing will be on the road at Boston on Monday.

Danks tossed six shutout innings against Kansas City in Game 2 of Friday's doubleheader to earn his fifth win of the season. He allowed four hits and four walks while striking out four.

The four walks matched a season high, but Danks managed to allow just two baserunners to get into scoring position. After struggling to a 6.85 ERA in June, Danks has posted a 3.12 ERA and two quality starts in three July outings, though all three of those starts have come at home. He lines up to pitch at home yet again next week against another division-leading club in the Cardinals.

Danks lasted 4.1 innings against the Blue Jays on Wednesday, giving up six runs on eight hits while striking out four and walking one.

After pitching seven scoreless innings in his last outing, Danks couldn't make it through the fifth inning Wednesday. The 30-year-old has been inconsistent all season, and he has yet to show that he can muster up two quality starts in a row.

Danks threw seven shutout innings against the Orioles on Friday to earn his fourth win of the season.

Well that was unexpected. Danks had been so inconsistent of late that the White Sox skipped his last start. The outing was one of his best of the season, rivaling the complete game shutout he threw against the Astros on May 31. But where he allowed 10 hits in that start, he only allowed five (all singles) Friday. Still, he has generally been awful this season, and it is difficult to recommend rostering him.

Danks will have his turn in the rotation skipped and will not be the starter on Sunday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Danks was scheduled to make the start Saturday, but the game was postponed due to rain. The White Sox have announced their starters up through Wednesday, including Jeff Samardzija on Sunday, so it appears the next time Danks will take the mound will be next weekend against Baltimore.

Danks was touched up for five runs in 5.1 innings in his last outing, and he'll have to wait at least another day to take the mound again. He'll likely be on the hill for Sunday's series finale, but the White Sox have yet to confirm their rotation order following the postponement.

The White Sox made a couple of costly errors behind him, but Danks can't blame anybody but himself for the three home runs he served up. Danks has now given up 14 home runs and a staggering 97 hits in 80.1 innings, and it's hard to see where the upside comes from with the 30-year-old Danks at this point.

Danks (3-7) delivered seven solid innings Wednesday against the Pirates, but was stuck with the loss. He allowed three runs on just five hits, striking out four without a walk.

All the damage against Danks came in the first inning -- in the following six, he gave up a pair of singles and nothing else. Unfortunately, with the way Danks has pitched this year -- not to mention the last several seasons -- good starts like this are the exception rather than the rule. He gets a nice matchup Monday in Minnesota, though.

Danks (3-6, 5.16 ERA) continues to struggle, but the White Sox just don't have many viable options for their rotation. He did contribute a complete game shutout of the Astros in his first June start, but that is pretty much the extent of his 2015 highlight reel to date. He remains a risky play in all fantasy formats.

Danks could not escape the fifth inning against the Tigers on Saturday, allowing five runs on 11 hits in just 4.2 innings of work in the loss.

This clunker comes off the heelds of a complete game shutout of the Astros earlier in the week. Danks was actually continuing that shutout for the first four innings of Saturday's contest, but he got trapped in a fifth that saw nine men approach the plate before the bullpen entered. Danks now has a 1.52 WHIP on the season, but there is no logical starter to replace him in the rotation.

Danks threw a complete game shutout against the Astros on Saturday to earn his third win of the season.

It was easily Danks' best start of the season, but it was not a flawless gem. He allowed 10 hits in the outing, five of which went for extra-bases. There were a few instances in which the Astros could have scored a run against the White Sox's No. 4 starter, but they were done in by baserunning errors. It would be tough to imagine him repeating this performance anytime soon, especially in his next start against the Tigers.

Danks was roughed up by the Blue Jays Tuesday in five innings of work, allowing six runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out five.

Danks hasn't shown much all season for the White Sox to keep him in the rotation which should bode well for newcomer Carlos Rodon. He's posted an ugly 5.69 ERA and 1.45 WHIP in nine starts this season.

Danks (2-4) was unable to continue a stretch of strong starting pitching for Chicago, which had gotten nine quality starts in its last 13 games with an ERA of 3.01 over that span. The Indians scored all five of their runs in the first two innings, and the White Sox failed to score Thursday, leading to a loss for Danks. He'll look to bounce back in his next scheduled start Tuesday at Toronto.

Danks pitched seven innings allowing just two runs on three hits while striking out six in the 4-3 win over the A's on Saturday.

This is Danks second great start in a row where he went seven innings allowing two runs or less. In his next start he faces the lefty-heavy Indians on Thursday in what could be another good outing.

Danks turned in his best start of the season Sunday, holding the Reds to one run on six hits over seven innings in a no-decision.

He struck out four and walked three over his 118 pitches. Danks was in line for the win in this one until the Reds rallied to tie the game in the top of the ninth. The pressure is on Danks to pitch well, as Carlos Rodon is pressing for the rotation after an effective start Saturday.
