Pirates RHP Chris Leroux has cleared waivers and been outrighted to Triple-A Indianapolis.
Leroux is currently rehabbing a strained right pectoral muscle, trying to get his strength and velocity back before hopefully rejoining the Pirates bullpen in late July. He's registered a 1-1 record, 2.88 ERA and 24/7 K/BB ratio in 25 innings this season.

Chris Leroux (pectoral) hasn't reported any setbacks since moving his rehab assignment to Triple-A Indianapolis.
"My velocity is coming back and the breaking ball is getting sharper with each outing,'' Leroux said. ''I have to keep in mind that the next 30 days that I have to rehab in Indy are actually like my spring training, so I try not to get too frustrated when things don't go exactly like I feel they should." Leroux has been out all season with a strained right pectoral muscle. A fair estimate would have him back right around the All-Star break.

Leroux began the season on the DL with a strained right pectoral muscle. Though he said he's taking it slowly and has no timetable for a return, he reports notable improvement. June seems like a feasible goal if he keeps progressing.

Pirates claimed RHP Chris Leroux off waivers from Marlins.
Leroux looked like a pretty good relief prospect coming into the year, but he regressed in a big way this season, posting a 6.95 ERA in 21 relief appearances with Triple-A New Orleans and a 7.00 ERA in 17 appearances with the Marlins. He had some elbow issues earlier in the year, so perhaps he can bounce back next season.
