Tue Feb 1 201116:34Brewers to sign OF Mark Kotsay
Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that the Brewers will sign Mark Kotsay to a major league contract.
The 35-year-old Kotsay hit just .239/.306/.376 over 359 plate appearances for the White Sox last season, but was still moderately productive against right-handed pitching. He'll take a much smaller role with the Brewers this season, likely backing up first base and the corner outfield spots.

Tue Feb 1 201116:15Brewers close to signing Mark Kotsay
According to Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com, the Brewers are close to signing Mark Kotsay.
We're thinking it will be a minor league deal. Kotsay, now 35, batted just .239/.306/.376 with eight home runs and 31 RBI over 359 plate appearances with the White Sox last season, but could have some use as a left-handed bat off the bench and backup first baseman/corner outfielder.

Tue Jan 25 201110:01Brewers looking into free agent Mark Kotsay
Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that the Brewers are looking into free agent Mark Kotsay.
Kotsay, 35, would serve primarily as a pinch-hitter for Milwaukee, taking late-inning at-bats from some of the weaker hitters in the Brewers' lineup. He finished the 2010 season with a .239/.306/.376 batting line and eight home runs across 359 plate appearances for the White Sox.

Sun Sep 26 201021:21Kotsay doesn't expect to return to the Sox
Mark Kotsay doesn't anticipate returning to the White Sox next season.
"From a personal standpoint my future probably doesn't lie in Chicago," he said. Kotsay hit .238/.306/.376 this season playing mostly first base and designated hitter. It's likely that his career as a major leaguer could be over after this season.

Thu Aug 5 201016:42Kotsay leads White Sox past Tigers
Mark Kotsay hit a two-run homer in the top of the ninth and a two-run triple in the 11th as the White Sox beat the Tigers 6-4 on Thursday.
The homer in the ninth should have been enough, as it increased the White Sox's lead from one to three. However, Bobby Jenks couldn't hold it in the bottom of the inning. Kotsay didn't let it get him down, as he delivered his first triple since 2008 off the Tigers' Jose Valverde, putting the White Sox back on top. It was his first four-RBI game since Sept. 6, 2006.
Wed May 26 201015:07White Sox's Kotsay hits two-run homer
Mark Kotsay hit a two-run homer Wednesday in the win over the Indians.
Kotsay has been playng regularly of late, and he's up to .223 with five homers after a hideous April. He's still an awful choice to be DHing with any regularity, but the White Sox like him and he's worth grabbing in any AL-only leagues in which he was dropped.
