Xavier Nady did some light running Monday for the first time since straining his left hamstring last Wednesday.

Nady said Sunday that he was getting close, so he could be back in the lineup any day now barring any setbacks. The veteran outfielder went 4-for-12 (.333) with two doubles and three RBI in five games with the Giants prior to the injury.

Rosenthal says the Giants have been "discouraged" about their chances of adding a "needle mover" in left field, so it appears that they'll settle on a combination of Nady, Joaquin Arias and Gregor Blanco.
