Thu Jan 13 201114:30No chance Harris returns to Nationals
A team source tells Adam Kilgore of the Washington Post that there's "no chance" Willie Harris will return to the Nationals.
It's all Willie Harris, all the time here at Rotoworld. Harris' agent Daryl Buford had previously stated that there was a "remote possibility" that his client could return to Washington, but the interest doesn't appear to be mutual. Buford confirmed that his client currently has two offers and hopes to reach an agreement in the next few days.

Thu Jan 13 201111:28Harris unlikely to return to Nationals
Bill Ladson of MLB.com reports that free agent infielder-outfielder Willie Harris currently has two offers on the table, but neither are from the Nationals.
Ladson adds that the Nationals have not talked with Harris in weeks, so a return to Washington looks unlikely. Harris, 32, batted just .183 over 224 at-bats last season, but did hit 10 home runs and steal five bases. With his ability to play both the infield and outfield, he could be useful for someone.

Tue Jan 4 201118:02Nats have been in touch with Harris
According to Adam Kilgore of the Washington Post, the Nationals have been in touch with free agent outfielder-infielder Willie Harris.
Harris batted just .183 over 224 at-bats last season, but still managed to smack 10 homers and can play both the infield and outfield. However, the Nationals may want to add a right-handed bat off the bench, instead.

Sat Nov 13 201015:06Harris wants to return to Nats
Free agent Willie Harris would like to return to the Nationals next season if they'll have him.
Harris hit .183 last season but did contribute 10 homers and he can play every position but pitcher, catcher and first base. He also reportedly has a great relationship with owner Ted Lerner and GM Mike Rizzo, which would seem to help his chances at staying on. The Nationals would like to revamp their bench this offseason, but Harris could be one of the holdovers.

Mon Sep 6 201013:56Willie Harris pulled after crash against wall
Willie Harris was lifted from Monday's game with an upper body injury.
Harris crashed into the outfield wall while chasing down a Chris Carter double in the third inning. He looked dazed and may have hit his head. A concussion could put an end to the outfielder's 2010 season.

Mon May 31 201017:23Nats' Harris goes 0-for-4 in loss
Making his first start in 10 days, Willie Harris went 0-for-4 as the Nationals scored 14 runs Monday.
And that's why he's been the odd-man out of late. Harris isn't going to get cut like Willy Taveras did earlier this month, but he's taking a backseat right now and that isn't likely to change soon.
Thu May 6 201021:56Harris hits walkoff RBI in Nats' walkoff win
Willie Harris hit a walkoff RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning Thursday to help the Nationals over the Braves 3-2.
Better yet, it was a pinch-hit walkoff single. Harris is batting a disappointing .205 on the year and has battled knee injuries, but his RBI count improved to seven with tonight's heroics. Adam Dunn also homered, his sixth of the year, and the Nats improved to a surprising 15-13 on the year.
Tue Apr 27 201008:53Harris (knee) used as pinch-hitter Monday
Willie Harris (knee) was used as a pinch-hitter Monday against the Cubs.
Harris had been sidelined for a game over the weekend due to a sore right knee. An MRI came back clean earlier this week, though, and he should be available for starting duties shortly. The outfielder is batting .167/.311/.417 with two home runs and six RBI on the young season.

Sun Apr 25 201017:34Harris (knee) undergoes successful MRI
Willie Harris (knee) underwent an MRI that revealed no serious damage, but is not likely to play on Monday in Chicago.
He did not rule out playing on Monday, however. "I don't know, let's see," Harris said. "I don't know how it's going to feel tomorrow. We treated it all day today. It should feel better tomorrow. We'll see." The knee has bothered him for weeks, but a diving catch attempt on Saturday rendered him unable to play on Sunday. "The MRI didn't show much but fluid," Harris said. "Nothing is torn, nothing is ruptured. That's good news." Expect him to return mid-week. Justin Maxwell will continue to soak up at-bats until then.

Mon Apr 19 201021:58Harris hits three-run homer in win over Rox
Willie Harris slugged a three-run home run in a 5-2 win over the Rockies on Monday night.
Harris was 2-for-3 on the night, delivering the three-run shot in the second inning and a sacrifice fly in the third inning. Because the Nationals faced left-handers Doug Davis and Randy Wolf over the weekend, it was his first start since Friday night. He'll likely continue to split playing time with Justin Maxwell in right field moving forward.
Thu Apr 8 201019:49Harris hits two-run homer in defeat of Phils
Willie Harris hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning Thursday to help the Nationals defeat the Phillies 6-5.
Harris is in a three-way battle for the Nationals' starting right field job with fellow outfielders Mike Morse and Willy Taveras. This afternoon's results will help, but the situation might not gain any more clarity for several weeks and should be avoided in nearly every fantasy league.
Mon Apr 5 201016:20Nats' Harris goes 0-for-4 in loss
Willie Harris went 0-for-4 as the Nationals' right fielder and No. 2 hitter in Monday's loss.
Harris hit .326/.483/.565 in 46 at-bats this spring, but he's no one's idea of a starting right fielder. The Nats will keep playing him against righties for now, but they should remain on the lookout for help. Besides Jermaine Dye, there's also Gary Sheffield out there in free agency.
Sun Apr 4 201011:55Nationals looking to deal for right fielder
The Nationals are looking to add a new right fielder according to a report from MASNSports.com's Ben Goessling.
Goessling mentioned Corey Hart, Kosuke Fukudome, and B.J Upton as possible targets, though each fell through for one reason (too expensive) or another (couldn't get a deal worked out). They'll be stuck with the Willie Harris/Willy Taveras platoon to start the season, but if the Cubs or Rays fall out of contention early, they might become more amenable to making a deal.
