OF Angel Pagan has missed the last 10 games with a hamstring strain. The Giants hesitated putting him on the disabled list in hopes he could return sooner rather than later. Pagan had a chance to play Wednesday, but was not called upon. He could return any day.

"We'll see where we're at tomorrow."

LF Angel Pagan (left hamstring strain) was injured Sunday trying to extend an RBI single into a double during the seventh inning of the Giants' 6-1 win over the Mets. Pagan's single easily scored 2B Kolby Tomlinson from second base, but Mets 1B Eric Campbell cut off the throw and Pagan was hurt as he screeched to a stop between first and second. Pagan gave himself up and was tagged out by SS Wilmer Flores. Manager Bruce Bochy said after the game that Pagan would be re-evaluated Monday but that the team might have to make a roster move because 2B Joe Panik (groin) is already expected to sit out Monday's game against the Cincinnati Reds. Pagan is batting .315 with two homers, 13 RBIs and two stolen bases in 26 games this season.

LF Angel Pagan entered play Tuesday ranked first in the National League in batting average with two outs (.579), third in hits (26), fifth in overall batting average (.356), tied for fifth in batting average with runners in scoring position (.571) and tied for seventh in runs (14).

LF Angel Pagan had two hits and reached base on an error among his first four at-bats Sunday. But by the end of the day, he'd had a disappointing effort. First, Pagan lost a flyball in the sun that helped produce a late run in the Miami Marlins' 5-4 win. Then, with a chance to redeem himself, he hit into a home-to-first double play on a comebacker with none out and the bases loaded in the eighth inning of a one-run game.

LF Angel Pagan was hitless in four at-bats Thursday, but he still leads the team with a .328 average. However, he is just 4-for-16 on the current homestand with a run, a double and three RBIs.

Pagan hit a hard ground ball down the left-field line for a single in the third inning before finishing 1-for-3 with an intentional walk. Pagan has taken well to batting ninth (after the pitcher) this season. He had a double to go with his first homer Sunday, raising his season average to .320.

OF Angel Pagan moved into the leadoff spot for the first time this season on Wednesday, taking over for a day while Denard Span sat out with a bout of the flu. Pagan went 2-for-4 with a double, a triple and scored twice in the Giants' 4-3 loss at Milwaukee.

LF Angel Pagan earned an outfield assist Monday by throwing out Scooter Gennett, who was attempting to score from second in the fourth inning. It was the first time Pagan had earned a solo assist catching a runner at home plate from left field.

LF Angel Pagan (arthroscopic right knee surgery in October 2015) struggled through 133 games last season with hamstring and knee problems. He claims to be fully healthy for the start of training camp.

Pagan (knee) will undergo a procedure on his right knee in the next few days, Alex Pavlovic of CSN Bay Area reports.

Pagan has had a history of knee issues, and it appears he'll undergo another procedure this offseason to clean up his knee. There's no timetable attached to it, but it seems highly unlikely it will prevent him from playing at the start of spring training.

Pagan is out of the lineup Thursday against the Dodgers.

Pagan will take a seat for only the third time this month, giving way to Jarrett Parker in center field. With the Giants firmly out of postseason contention, there's little reason for manager Bruce Bochy to push his veterans too hard as the season comes to a close.
