Cole Kimball received a cortisone shot in his ailing right shoulder last Friday.
Kimball was placed on the disabled list last week with right shoulder inflammation. He is currently scheduled to resume throwing on Friday.

An MRI on Cole Kimball's shoulder revealed no structural damage.
Kimball has only inflammation, so he'll likely be able to start throwing again in a week or so. A timetable for his return will likely be established at that time.

Nationals placed RHP Cole Kimball on the 15-day disabled list with right shoulder inflammation.
The Nationals have called up Ryan Mattheus to replace him on the active roster. Kimball, 25, has a 1.93 ERA in 12 appearances this season, though it comes with an underwhelming 11/11 K/BB ratio over 14 innings.

Nationals recalled RHP Cole Kimball from Triple-A Syracuse.
Kimball impressed during spring training, but began the season in the minor leagues because he still had options remaining. The 25-year-old right-hander has earned his first call to the big leagues after beginning his season with 13 2/3 scoreless innings with Triple-A Syracuse.
